Thanks for sharing!! I was selected as a Centre Posse scholar last week and I’m here watching videos about it because I am just so excited about it. Enjoy your journey at Northwestern!
Hey! Thank you for this video! I was just selected as a finalist for northwestern this year, and I have my 3rd interview on dec 1st, I wanted to know if there was any advice you can give me to prepare?
I am currently a semi-finalist and am wondering what you think the likelihood of me being able to take a gap year is if I end up becoming a Posse scholar? I really want to go to Korea for a year before college
Hello Alana, I am actually not sure about their policy related to that. I expect that they would not want you to take a gap year before college because the whole point of being in a posse is to start off college with a familiar support group to make the transition into college easier. If you decide to take a gap year before college, you would be absent from that group dynamic and mission which is something that would concern the scholarship committee. I don't have an exact answer, so you should email them about your concerns, but my best guess is that you would not be able to do a gap year before college if you are a posse scholar. However, you can study abroad in Korea during your sophomore year if that is of interest.
how close would you say all the posse students are at Northwestern? Like other than the meetings that are held every week freshman and sophomore year of college, are you guys all friends?
Hi Ritaj! There is a posse chosen every year and some posses are closer to each other than others. Personally, my posse and I are really really good friends and we hung out almost every weekend and would grab lunch with one another throughout the weekdays on campus. There are 40 Posse scholars on campus every year, so for the most part, everyone knows everyone to some extent, but everyone is extremely supportive of one another. Honestly, when a posse scholar meets another posse scholar, it's like an automatic friendship that forms, and that the great thing about posse, it really is a family.

@@alanabasmajian5975 did you get finalist? What posse city are you with?
Do I have to be an american citizen living in the US to be eligible to receive a posse scholarship?
Hello! I don't believe you have to be a US citizen, but you have to be a permanent resident in the US to apply.
so we can’t choose the school we want?
You can only choose from the options Posse gives you. There are usually 10 different schools you can choose from.

I ask if students out of us can submit in posse ??
No problem! What do you mean by "out of us"? If you are in one of the eligible cities, you can apply to Posse as a Senior in High School
