For people getting inspired to quit after this video, don’t do it!… Its pretty hard to get another job in 2024 and unless you have a fall back option hang on to the current job. If you need a break, take vacation/ therapy for other issues. If you are pursuing other career options, start that in parallel to current job.

#FACTS.. I left IT 17 years ago, scariest part was when the first direct deposit didn't hit.. it got real..
Definitely already have something established before leaving. I did, worked out excellent for me, I now have multiple employees and one of my companies is specialized automotive technology.. its on my channel

I made the mistake of quitting my $55 an hr Android developer job a couple years ago, and I haven't been able to find anything since. To be fair I hated the job I was doing because I'm super introverted. Working on getting my CDL now. Tech is dead unless you're a rock star developer.

My advice to anyone in here thinking about quitting their job please have something in line more than just family support. Never want to be an extra responsibility because things aren't working out. Instead of being an extra expense to your family or friends just put in extra hours outside of your work. detach your life from your current job and focus on what you want. If there is anyone in here saying well you aren't giving your best to your job, just remember if you died today they would have a replacement in less than a month. Your job may treat you well but at the end of day, the business will go on. You are valuable, treat yourself as such. I hope everyone in here reaches their goals in life.

In the same boat. Working on getting my CDL now. Tech just wasn't for me. Id rather do software development as a hobby.

Honestly planning to do the same next year. I just need to take some risk and get out of the work-work-work life that I've built. With the never ending tech layoffs, these high paying tech jobs don't even seem stable anymore, so gotta plan life around that reality. Definitely inspiring

i can fully understand being an more interesting peron, growth- some of my friends are stuck and when i try to share something new they just ignore or have no idea , also impact many times on projects doesn't go to production vs even if 10 people gets help in social media get there dream job - that just hits the satisfaction level more.

It's all due to privilege and false sense of entitlement. You don't see farm workers quitting and they get paid way less and work harder. People who grew up easy can't handle a regular job.

Let's be real, not everyone has the PRIVILEGE to quit a job without another lined up ESPECIALLY if you're from lower income Black and Brown communities. These videos are extremely unrealistic for most people in America or North America and it's always from someone doing well off. The job market and economy is trash and finding a job is extremely hard right now and not to mention everything is extremely expensive. It's like people who quit jobs without another lined up are immune to these things and it very much seems the case. For REGULAR people don't quit carelessly like this. Have a job always.

@@maggieindata I've only been in the role for 2 years. Before that, I was managing the HR Systems and built out an offshore team to service and maintain HR systems. However, I am finding Data Analytics in HR is not for me and I have very limited resources. The culture in HR is also not data-driven and I meet resistance all along the way. I think my best option is to take a break and reassess.
