It would take a long time, depending on server settings, but you should consider making a "Boss Breed" series starting from finding tames all the way to the actual fight. I personally think that would be entertaining to watch and might help a lot of newer players who are taking their first stab at boss fights.
@Must Rästas It's not really about the money. This channel here doesn't make a ton regardless. But the time that is involved would make it unable for me to do anything else, since let's say Let's Plays are 4h recording, then 5-6h checking the material. 3-4h editing. And that's only for 1-2 Episodes at best. I have done Let's Plays on my German Channel for about 3-4 years. I am happy I don't have to do them anymore.
It is hard to find the right tames for a boss army. I spawned in 200 Rex's on singleplayer, level 149, and not one had more then 47 points in a single stat, not one had more then 10kHP or 350 melee. The advantage of taming is you can selectively tame 7khp+ or 225melee+ for chances at those crazy high 50-57 roles

I had messed up my anky breeding, so I've been watching your videos to get as much info as I can before starting my next breeding project (R-Allosauruses). They've all been really helpful! Normally I would tame several high level wild ones and then breed them until I had all of the highest stats on one pair, then breed for mutations, but I believe it was on this video that you said to breed individual lines for each stat that you are wanting. It made sense after thinking about it for a little while, so that's what I'll be doing.
Ok so what I understand is that I tame a mom and dad Rex. I make them breed and only try to get females no males.. once I have like 15 female Rex then I make them breed with the dad? And afterwards once I get eggs I only look for high male rexes and keep doing that?
Depends where you play. On unofficial with mutator 15-20 females are okay. On official or without mods you should look for 70-200 females depending on how quick you want to progress. Other than that yes :)
I'm just getting into breeding for stats, but from what I've heard people talk about it, you NEVER want to imprint on any dinos you want as breeding pair. Imprinting may boost stats 20%, however, those increased levels do not carry over to the offspring. Ergo, using imprinted dinos makes it harder to figure out which stat gets passed down the line when combining stats onto one dino. Unless you want to use the dino as a personal mount, avoid imprinting to make breeding easier.
So I would keep my lvl 1 females clean without using the S+ mutator with a mutation pulse and just bread lets say 50 females with the male offspring that has the mutation on the stat that I want, and then rinse and repeat? would a growth pulse or a gender swap affect or count as a mutation ?
With a mutation pulse and an unstated female, you will get maternal mutations as well as paternal, but the next generation of males, all those move over to the paternal side. So you end up with like 1 or 2 maternal, 37 paternal. Next Gen, 1 or 2 maternal (or none), 38 or 39 paternal.

Does every mutation have to roll to apply to the next line? Let's say I have a rex with 2 mutations in melee and it's offspring got a mutation in health. Does it have to roll 3 times? One for each mutation?
Ive been using your videos to learn about the taming. And it has been successfull thus far. BUT 1 question. Are you going through all those steps just to isolate the stats thus making it easier to see stat change. In theory you could just get any non mutated dino. As long as you get the stat your mutating on a male, you can breed it with any female until you get the mutated stat increase. Either way learning how to get a level 1 is pretty cool. And is a lowkey flex in my server i dont think anyone has any as of now.
For what i understood you need low lvl female to avoid level cap on the official server. So lets assume you have a dino that you mutated 430 points into melee and the level cap is 450 - breeding with higher lvl female will result in more offspring with unwanted stats that will bring you closer to lvl cap

My Rex’s are all 19K health and 596% melee but when I breed them the Babies keep having 15k health only and 508% melee only. What am I doing wrong? The babies are getting worse and worse stats than the parents.
@Tiia on official they have starter servers, that are difficulty offset 1 so the max level is 1-30, that is where I got my LvL 1s, you can move them off through the oby,

They can just neuter the Dino if they don't want people continuing the bloodline, if I trade for a Dino and its not neutered I assume their cool with me breeding it or else they would have neutered it
At least on official PvE its common practice to ask beforehand. Many new players got in a lot of trouble before. So I mention it. If you personally don't care about it, it's up to you :)

Depends. If your male is already past 20 mutations it won't make a difference. If your male is unmutated you will only cap him faster without getting mutations. So if you start fresh, stick with unmutated females.
I swear this is the last comment under this vid =p It would be nice if you remind us about the % chances of getting each mutation and how its working when you exceed 20 mutations on both sides. You almost mentioned it in this vid =)

Can I use this male to breed with my own females? Since stats are different I am getting all kind of level theris. As long as your females are unmutated you can. But have a look how many statpoints your carchar has because you are limited to 255 points to each stat and the Carchar you have could very well be capped already.
Did I understand correctly? That no matter if I clear mutations on one side the chances for a mutations will be the same like if didn't do it at all? Or - the reason for clearing the mutation counter on one (mother) side is that you have possibility to mutate dino again?
Or in simplier words: breeding with 1 lvl female will increase chance of getting mutation comparing to situation when I have female with for example 6k mutations on both sides?
@@TiiaAurora oh okay. Whole breeding process is very confusing. If I exceed mutation limit then why I meet dinos with more than few thousand of mutations on both sides? Sometimes its even negative value. So it must be something with breeding mutated dinos with other mutated dinos becase valueas are multiplying. Is it that they mutated one stat more than 40 times, right?
So in theory breeding male that has 6k mutations with lvl 1 female will give me 55% chances of mutating random stat. So the offspring will have 6k mutations on patrineal line but 2 mutations on matrineal, right? I know that for a person like you with very big knowledge of how this things work these questions might be stupid (and I'm not telling they aren't) but you see things from the different perspective and hese silly questions are obvious
I’m having an issue where when I get the Dino with the stats I like (0 in food,oxygen and movement) but when I breed it with the original level 1 Dino’s (the perfect males mother) instead of stacking the mutations on the paternal side it adds 1 mutation to the maternal side I think I’m messing something up but I’m not sure on what I’m goofing up on exactly any ideas?

Exactly. The counter basically shows which parent has a mutation+ new mutations. So the left side can only ever show new ones if the mother is unmutated
When i breed my for example 2 lvl 225 rexes (no pionts skilled) the lvl of the baby is always random for example lvl 237, 232, 234 or something. How do i fix that?
It is because the stats are different on both and the recombination of those stats cause different levels. I would breed them a few times, always keeping the highest level unmutated babies and then continue with those if you're looking for the same stats.
I've got a glitch on ps4 where alot of the time I can't view the ancestory option in the menu of the dinos, I try to hover over it but it's stuck because either leveling a stat or my hot bars. Anyone know how to fix?

255, if you dont want to level it afterwards. 254 if you want to level it and the statpoint number is even. 253 if you want to level it and the statpoint number is odd. Since you always get 2 points each mutatiion a 253 would turn into a 255 and can't be leveled so you need to stop there.
it's kinda related but not at the same time but I was wondering if there was a website or something I could use to see how Many points I have into what stats after taming dinos, I'm on console so i dont have access to mods and I'm trying to start a line of spinos but kinda just have to guess what's super high and not. Idk where I can tell where the points have been distributed and would love to be able to for breeding 😅
Since the point calculation is pretty complicated, I haven't seen any website offering that kind of complex service. I know there is software that can do that. so you would need at least have access to a PC. ARK Smart Breeding.
Hello i know this video a couple years old now. However there's still a lot of folks on ase. I was wondering if this could be done with any level dinos as long as the mutations were 0 on each side of the dino being used to fix a line

I have a 12 in paternal and 0 in maternal on Rock Drake Male. 3 females with either 0/0 or no line of ancestors at all. They flow between 170-178 right now and I always have my latest male with a +1 in paternal mating with the females. I try not to grab the latest male just because he has that but if it has been s while I might cave. I just wanna be sure I'm doing this correctly. I know sounds silly asking but not everyone covers drakes especially since you can only get their lowest level at 20 and from what I hear this is fairly new for console players like myself...I suppose I could grab a pair of 20s and breed they get down to 1?

He thinks just because the mutation lines gain more numbers that he has had tonz of mutations on a line even tho ive tried go explain it I no longer do because he ends up wanting to argue. I point out the years of videos on UA-cam and Facebook of people putting out breeding videos that specifically warn against this but he acts like he knows better than a whole community of people so whenever he brings it up i go "ehh". Hello o have a question: I have two dinos with the same stats, even oxygen, and diferente lvl and color. How is this possible? Maybe for different color ?
The movement speed is different. It doesn't display in the stats. Put their eggs in the incubator and you'll see that, depending on which parent it takes the stat from, will be a higher or lover level.
Tame a level 1 or lvl 5 creature, you can bring the speed down to zero as well as any other stats you don't want, like oxygen. When it is born, mate it with the parent that you want to lower the stats on, and keep breeding them till the food, oxygen and speed are at 0. Then you have the perfect breeder. Get a second one of the opposite gender, then go to town. Keep the stud clean of any additional mutations until you get a good mutation and then use that as the next stud.
Hey I've got two tek rexes and I want to breed them, ones a level 308 and the other is a 314 but their stats are almost the same they both have over 20k health and both have over 1300% melee, but every time I breed them, the baby's come out between 240 and to 260, how can i have level 300+
@@TiiaAurora yes, they were 162 and 168 when they were wild and after taming I think they were in the range of 230 to 250 if I remember correctly, after that I went out killing dethworms and got them up to 308 and 314

@@thejob1718 it is on the female side because his mother had the mutation. The side it's on just shows which parent had it. If you keep breeding with that male it will flip to the dad side on the next baby
I had to watch you video about mutatations to understand better since I always play on pvp server and never got that far to be able to just breed in mass and learn the mechanic. I’m on a 5x server now with 10x maturation rate so I want to give it a go. Just hard ti find dedicated tribe m8s you know! You don't NEED a level 1. I think you should be clearer with that for people that take everything word for word. It's obviously but for maximum stats. But especially for pvp official players you don't need to have perfect stats right away.
At least in PvE its polite to do so. PvP doesnt matter, thats anarchy anyway. Of course not a "law" but I have seen people getting blacklisted from every trading community for disrespecting original breeders.

When I trade away a mutation dino off to someone else like out side of my tribe I spay the dino so they can't be bred by the new owner
I love making lvl 1 dinos, the cluster I’m on has no Dino lvl cap like officials so it’s useless but I still make them as a hobby lol

Finding official level 5s of non-TheIsland dinos seems impossible when nearly every map seems to have level 15 as the minimum

You can turn any high lvl egg into a lvl 1 egg by placing them in dedicated storages and then with drawing them. It's a lot faster that way.
You can't place anything with a spoil timer in a dedicated storage.

The problem I am having is my Baryonyx has 3 melee mutations, but is showing 3 and 7 mutations
That's because both parents were mutated and it didn't get all mutated stats

Yep correct. You want to get rid of all levels that are not health or melee in this case

For getting stats that already exist on one of the parents, you dont need mutations. Mutations are for getting higher stats than the parents have.

level doesnt matter, only for the female to be unmutated.

If you have mutations, the stats should change. If they don't chance, then you won't have mutations
Did I understand correctly? That no matter if I clear mutations on one side the chances for a mutations will be the same like if didn't do it at all? Or - the reason for clearing the mutation counter on one (mother) side is that you have possibility to mutate dino again?
Or in simplier words: breeding with 1 lvl female will increase chance of getting mutation comparing to situation when I have female with for example 6k mutations on both sides?

Whole breeding process is very confusing.
If I exceed mutation limit then why I meet dinos with more than few thousand of mutations on both sides? Sometimes its even negative value. So it must be something with breeding mutated dinos with other mutated dinos becase valueas are multiplying.
Is it that they mutated one stat more than 40 times, right?

So in theory breeding male that has 6k mutations with lvl 1 female will give me 55% chances of mutating random stat. So the offspring will have 6k mutations on patrineal line but 2 mutations on matrineal, right?
I know that for a person like you with very big knowledge of how this things work these questions might be stupid (and I'm not telling they aren't) but you see things from the different perspective and hese silly questions are obvious
I’m having an issue where when I get the Dino with the stats I like (0 in food,oxygen and movement) but when I breed it with the original level 1 Dino’s (the perfect males mother) instead of stacking the mutations on the paternal side it adds 1 mutation to the maternal side I think I’m messing something up but I’m not sure on what I’m goofing up on exactly any ideas?
the side the mutation happens doesnt matter :)

Exactly. The counter basically shows which parent has a mutation+ new mutations. So the left side can only ever show new ones if the mother is unmutated
Bad breeding, if your dino has more than 20 mutations in both sides it means u fucked up and u are getting ghost mutations that are worth nothing.

When i breed my for example 2 lvl 225 rexes (no pionts skilled) the lvl of the baby is always random for example lvl 237, 232, 234 or something. How do i fix that?
It is because the stats are different on both and the recombination of those stats cause different levels.
I would breed them a few times, always keeping the highest level unmutated babies and then continue with those if you're looking for the same stats.

I've got a glitch on ps4 where alot of the time I can't view the ancestory option in the menu of the dinos, I try to hover over it but it's stuck because either leveling a stat or my hot bars. Anyone know how to fix?

anything as low as possible works. If you cant get to 0 points you miss out by a few mutations but that shouldnt affect you too much,

255, if you dont want to level it afterwards.
254 if you want to level it and the statpoint number is even.
253 if you want to level it and the statpoint number is odd.
Since you always get 2 points each mutatiion a 253 would turn into a 255 and can't be leveled so you need to stop there.
it's kinda related but not at the same time but I was wondering if there was a website or something I could use to see how Many points I have into what stats after taming dinos, I'm on console so i dont have access to mods and I'm trying to start a line of spinos but kinda just have to guess what's super high and not.
Idk where I can tell where the points have been distributed and would love to be able to for breeding 😅
Since the point calculation is pretty complicated, I haven't seen any website offering that kind of complex service. I know there is software that can do that. so you would need at least have access to a PC. ARK Smart Breeding.

Yes it can. You really need low level animals only on official servers which isnt a problem on ASE anymore

I have a 12 in paternal and 0 in maternal on Rock Drake Male. 3 females with either 0/0 or no line of ancestors at all. They flow between 170-178 right now and I always have my latest male with a +1 in paternal mating with the females. I try not to grab the latest male just because he has that but if it has been s while I might cave. I just wanna be sure I'm doing this correctly. I know sounds silly asking but not everyone covers drakes especially since you can only get their lowest level at 20 and from what I hear this is fairly new for console players like myself...I suppose I could grab a pair of 20s and breed they get down to 1?
With 20s it's tricky. I saw people breeding them down from 15 but you have to be lucky.

He thinks just because the mutation lines gain more numbers that he has had tonz of mutations on a line even tho ive tried go explain it I no longer do because he ends up wanting to argue. I point out the years of videos on UA-cam and Facebook of people putting out breeding videos that specifically warn against this but he acts like he knows better than a whole community of people so whenever he brings it up i go "ehh". Dunno how to explain it and not sound like an asshole I guess lol

How can i reset the stats if i play on a Privat Server with min lvl 100? i cant get the 0 stats?
You won't be able there unfortunately. But on a private server you won't have the 450 max level cap either. So you can just ignore that step.
Hello o have a question: I have two dinos with the same stats, even oxygen, and diferente lvl and color. How is this possible? Maybe for different color ?
The movement speed is different. It doesn't display in the stats. Put their eggs in the incubator and you'll see that, depending on which parent it takes the stat from, will be a higher or lover level.
Tame a level 1 or lvl 5 creature, you can bring the speed down to zero as well as any other stats you don't want, like oxygen. When it is born, mate it with the parent that you want to lower the stats on, and keep breeding them till the food, oxygen and speed are at 0. Then you have the perfect breeder. Get a second one of the opposite gender, then go to town. Keep the stud clean of any additional mutations until you get a good mutation and then use that as the next stud.
Hey I've got two tek rexes and I want to breed them, ones a level 308 and the other is a 314 but their stats are almost the same they both have over 20k health and both have over 1300% melee, but every time I breed them, the baby's come out between 240 and to 260, how can i have level 300+
Are your Rexes leveled?
@@TiiaAurora yes, they were 162 and 168 when they were wild and after taming I think they were in the range of 230 to 250 if I remember correctly, after that I went out killing dethworms and got them up to 308 and 314

Unfortunately ARK does not support this. This is an extra spyglass mod you have to install. Without mod it helps writing down the numbers.
Or use egg incubator from Gen2 or magnifying glass

Why would you want to do this? I'm curious. Even though you have a ton of useless stats it's a nice addition.
Because official Servers have a level Cap of 450 and 500. So you want all levels to go into important stats.

Or would you take those "lost" points and keep breeding until they are now moved to HP and Atk?

How I move a female mut over to the make side
It will happen automatically when you only use male mutated breeders.

@@thejob1718 it is on the female side because his mother had the mutation. The side it's on just shows which parent had it. If you keep breeding with that male it will flip to the dad side on the next baby

I had to watch you video about mutatations to understand better since I always play on pvp server and never got that far to be able to just breed in mass and learn the mechanic. I’m on a 5x server now with 10x maturation rate so I want to give it a go. Just hard ti find dedicated tribe m8s you know! Also, awesome video and the fact that you commented back and quickly is amazing so I’ve subbed. I wish I could pull you into discord and ask you a million questions
You don't NEED a level 1. I think you should be clearer with that for people that take everything word for word.
It's obviously but for maximum stats. But especially for pvp official players you don't need to have perfect stats right away.

At least in PvE its polite to do so. PvP doesnt matter, thats anarchy anyway. Of course not a "law" but I have seen people getting blacklisted from every trading community for disrespecting original breeders.
