I was there somewhere at the front! I can't believe this just showed up in my suggested videos. How freaky... It was an awesome gig
Oh man, that drumming. Absolutely stunning performance from Fyfe Ewing. Excellent show, and Teethgrinder is still a killer song...
Hell yeah !
15 years later I'm still impressed by is "two snares drumming". As a drummer, he was one of my major influences... Thank you Fyfe
🙏🙏🙏
Teethgrinder is such a realistic tune about wizz and my own teeth are a testament to the grinding
Teethgrinder has always been my favourite song, for personal reasons and chronic trigeminal neuralgia and a 20 year nose candy habit. The drummer is unique and amazing, a true talent the band was never the same when he left! Best drummer from that 90s era, probably the best ever in the world.
Just over 20 years ago now and I remember this like yesterday, had it recorded onto VHS and watched it almost daily. I miss these days
same!
haha me too, years since I've seen it but remember every frame from all the viewings...
Same 🙌
ha ha..the same...just stumbled across it today..had it on a vhs when mtv showed it all those years ago.Played it till my crappy ferguson videostar ate it!
...ib join the club
Now THIS is a concert. No Phono Sapiens, just people going absolutely bonkers :)
+Gezoes i was thinking EXACTLY the same!
+Gezoes Phono Sapiens :D Never heard the phrase, but I know who you mean.
Olivér Kiss I used to call them telephone zombies, but Phono Sapiens is much more catchy. Spread the word :)

NEW THINGS BAD
Watched this so many times on VHS, great performance all round but Fyfe Ewing is an absolute monster on the kit!.. so unique
Fyfe Ewing is one of my favourite drummers...and a leftie to boot.
being a drummer for over 20 years Fyfe is one my favourite drummers of all time screw travis barker and chad smith. Fyfe is the man in my opinion.
I have the same opinion about Fyfe : what an incredible drummer. A perfect mix between precision, power ans creativity.
#totalRespect
They've never been the same band since he left. What is Fyfe doing now?
Amin brother!
He's an amazing drummer just sorry he's still not with these lads I'd say they would have been even better with him still there
fyfe dances when/where others are walking, that might have something to do with it. respex.
MTV VJ legend Paul King! :-)
2:35 : this part is like a glimpse into heaven. So good. What a concert! Watched my VHS tape til its lo-fi death.
Hell yeah...
What a concert...
A master piece !
Fuck yeah!
Fyfe is incredible. Particularly on Teeth Grinder
Agreed
Matthew Turner Well spotted. He is on fire there. And then some.
Was into these boys back in the day. Was just wondering does fyfe still drum with them? I recall he left the band?
+Steve Gold he left a looooooooong time ago man. Couldnt cope with touring and several other issues in the band ( had some serious trouble when recording infernal love(. But their new drummer is really good as well.
Cheers for the info. Infernal love was the last album of there's I got. Lost track of them after that but just downloaded loads of albums released after Infernal love. Will give them a listen.
At 8:43 you can see one of the security guys air drumming the roll at the start of the verse.
haha good catch
Well spotted!
Tethgrinder : apoplexy! What a huge era for the band
Seen live many times, and always a great show(especially one night when the Wildhearts were on the same bill) Therapy are still outstanding, their music is well standing the test of time. I remember first hearing the album Troublegum and being blown away, i've never had such a fantastic reaction to an album before or since. Andy Cairns still an amazing musician.
I had this show on a videotape till my brother decided to record a random soccer game on the same tape :'( Good to see it back after all those year :-)
I was at this gig! Therapy? have always been great live
As long as I've been going to see them I have never been disappointed
1993-94, Therapy? were the kings of alternative metal. "Teethgrinder" is still today incredible, an hybrid between techno and metal music. Too bad they started to lose the path already with Infernal Love.
cuoccimix not metal, though
sort of crossover indeed.
I like their albums a lot , I think that it is true that they' re something more emotional and the punky root is more present then the " noise " in their actual sound . I think that they had been so successfull with troublegum cuz after Nurse they found the exact urban sound of that times. I also think that coming out with a single like Diane ( I mean : it is a really beautiful song ) made us teens of the 90' think that they had become something too different and not very heavy, so after Infernal Love they lost in popularity . Really great band ! Really underrated, I am listeninig a lot to " Disquiet" these days .
Followed by Nirvana Unplugged In New York... what a night's telly!
A 90s signature piece - many thanks for sharing. Therapy?'s great, Fyfe's drumming incredibly tight
Once he left the band, they were finished
HauptmanNase
Not exactly.
wyrd
finished not in terms of fame, but their music became very predictable
Emotion Connect
I respectfully disagree. I think that Suicide pact - You first is a great album, and different from what they did before. Never Apologize Never Explain also is a great album. Both came out after Fyfe left the band.
+Emotion Connect the new album is very very good though, and so was the previous one... High anxiety was even better
Before UA-cam, there was only MTV/Super Channel. Which provided the odd amazing obscure band live. I rewatched this video on a continuous loop. Band sound so tight and powerful as a three piece. Fyfe Ewing fucking rocks. Thanks for the upload.
"Before youtube there was MTV"...
Yes, you are right.... In French there is a famous expression : "un temps que les moins de vingt ans ne peuvent connaître". It could ne translate by : "if you are less than 20 you can't have heard about it".
But actually it would be more appropriate to talk about people who are under 40
😁😁😁.
Many thanx to the uploader for this magnificent gift. A piece of my youth....
12:58 this Riff followed by that georgious Beat!
They were never the same when fyffe left
golden years of mtv
❤❤❤
Damn that was good, wish I coulda seen them in 1994.
Looking forward to see them tomorrow in Hamburg ❤
Saw them for the first time on this tour. Sunstroke festival, Dalymount Park, August 1995. So proud to call them compatriots. The best Irish rock band since Thin Lizzy
That Trigger Inside intro triggered more crowd surfs than the history of ever!
Sadly and ironically, I couldn't wait to turn 21 to see them. By that time, they stopped coming to Seattle.
EXCELLANT thanks for the upload
Far better than newer versions of "stop it....". And Fyfe on drums.
Still fucking amazing!
Best concert ever done!
I gotta trigger inside..Alright Dave.
I was at this one, it was great to see Fyfe in action live, all bare footed and that.
I just saw them live in Dublin. They still have it. Also, great guys.
+PearlJen86 Yeah, I met them in The Netherlands. They full well know Troublegum was their highlight, an epic mark in alternative trash rock music. They also cannot believe they are still touring and known. Quite modest and grateful for their life. Then we pointed them to a sushi place :)
beste/best after nevermind troublegum is my most favorite rock album ever
Thanks for the upload! I was 15 then and it still sounds fresh as hell! Rock on!
This concert was awesome👍👍
Brilliant album got on green vinyl
I had this on a tape, from when radio 2 broadcast it at the time. I never knew there was video as well, until today! Thanks for sharing.
Концерт просто супер! Давно хотів його знайти. Колись в дитинстві бачив по ТВ декілька пісень з нього, а ось він весь. Просто круто.
17:13 Excellent stage jump!
Saw them support Metallica at Monsters of Rock. Absolutely incredible live band!!
Was there too !!!!
had this on video back in the day .. most memorable and awsome live footage of the time and certainly a turn on to Therapy? and their music ever since if only just for the 'boo' in Teethgrinder
Awesome concert. Lunacy Booth is incredible!!
Saw them a few times around this era. Went for pints too. Class band.
Saw Therapy a few times back in the early 90's. always brilliant and always had great support acts, will be seeing them this coming year when they are supporting the Stranglers really looking forward to seeing them again after to many years!
COME ON BRIXTON,,, MAKE SOME FUCKIN NOISE!!!!!!!
F-Me!! I remember recording this concert off MTV onto MiniDisc and playing the crap out of it for years (still would if I had a minidisc player). I still mouth “come of Brixton, make some fucking noise” whenever I listen to teeth Grinder.
Tight as a ducks arse. Amazing 3 piece.
Qué pedazo de álbum se sacaron! Qué fuerza bruta cojones!!!
Vi a Therapy? en Madrid, en la Sala Revolver, allá por el 1994. Uno de los conciertos mas bestiales que he ido...
Can't wait to see Troublegum in its entirety played again. Saw them play it at sonisphere 2010.
11:40 this rhyme followed by the riff kicking in 😱 by christ it's good 🤘
Loudest live band ever. Trust me. No chance Andy Cairns can even hear his own voice by now.
Incorrect son try Motörhead back in the 80’s
Give me 'Animal Bones' or 'Innocent-x' anyday.
...Animal Bones.... Another brillant and powerfull rythm played by one of the best drummer of that Time...
Why it was never released as an official material? Still better than their other releases...
Still a fucking show!!
These are the years MTV is real MTV.... missed so much... by the way look at the gorgeous girl at 14:31
Stop it. Therapy rule,
I watched this on mushrooms nearly 30 years ago and I remember there being a mermaid on stage in a paddling pool of sand with a plastic palm tree sticking out the middle. Good shrooms they were
Lunacy booth
I love how 90s this is.
Thumb a like if you we're there.
Do you know who that guy is at 0:29 in the Background Picture ?
That’s the cover of the trigger inside single. Maybe Andy himself?
@@mikesbucketlist8420 A young Jeffrey Dahmer is my best guess.
Самый крутой концерт Therapy?
Whats the name of the VJ again?
Paul King
So sorry can"t take 2 LIKEs.
No Punishment Kiss
What the hell
Jesus they sound like a bunch of 14 year olds on a first rehearsal. Vocals so weak and guitar out of tune
