What a delightful surprise to stumble upon this premier brass quintet! Individually virtuoso and marvelously connected, buoyant and wonderfully nuanced!
You have the right idea. Never looked, never carried music. Did the Rose Parade three times; over seven miles. TV is in the first turn off Fremont St. Texaco commercial x2 in the Rose Bowl. Disney player.
That high F at 1:11 sounds unlike any high F I've heard. Can't seem to put my finger on it. It seems to have a slight tearing sound or something of that nature and I really dig it but I can't understand how this odd sound is attained.
Wow. First class group. Very tight ensemble playing. It isn't easy to get this good as an ensemble as you have to learn to listen really closely to the others as opposed to being a soloist doing a concerto or something.
Agreed, I love a brilliant sound at the right moment, but he doesn't have much variation in the color of the sound. He plays a written mp about ff with a ton of edge
The typical horn sound in Germany is very bright and edgy. At least compared to what I hear in the US. Our sound is tending to brighter in recent decades too.
@speedikat6822 the U.S. horn sound has gotten brighter, much to my dismay. I'm an 8D and Lawson fan, and don't like the sound of the 103 at all...unless Eric Terwilliger is playing it. 😉
It really makes me want to practice my trumpet and flugelhorn a lot more! Beautiful tight playing guys!
The tuba is exceptional, The whole ensemble is excellent.
That tuba was both very impressive and beautiful
Way to go Murr.
Great, just great.
These Dudes are amazing.

They’re not looking at the music. If you’re good you don’t. Ya listen.
Precious and precise.

it amazes me how the trumpeter on the right's lips dont turn in to dust after every note
He uses the special technique my grandma calls "lip splitter destruction"

Is hard!! But sounds amazing!!
F-111s do have a quite distinctive sound.
Pretty sure that's just the microphone overmodulating...
@@jeromieclark2581 that's the most likely theory. High notes just don't sound like that in good hands.
Amazing Tuba solo O.o

Any chance you guys have scored out the Trombone solo in the third section? Very nice!
The horn's sound is rather bright for my sensibilities, but fine playing nonetheless!

@Juan Rivas I believe Aaron means a 'mezzo-piano' written in the music
