I applaud you for taking the decision to keep your cats safe. I live on a busy road and my cats are lucky to have an outside catio attached to the house so they are safe and also from being stolen.
Sean, I like your videos. Mixing it up keeps them interesting. I enjoy going antiquing with you, Sam and Sam's Mom. I am glad you don't let the kitties run. So important to keep them safe. The lamp is nice.
The lamp is lovely. Your forest garden is looking really good! The Three Sisters planting method, commonly known as companion planting, entails growing corn, beans, and squash together in a mutually beneficial arrangement. It originated in North America around 3000 years ago. The corn grows tall and strong, the beans climb the corn stalk and the squash shades the soil retaining moisture. There are variations on companion planting and you are doing very well.
Sean I'm loving the frequency of your videos recently. It's such a treat. I understand your circumstance and honestly whatever works best for you is great for me. You just take the time you need to heal. Love all the finds you and Sam and Lyn picked up this trip. I'm always up for shopping. Take care.
Your kitties deserve to be kept safe, and you made them a fun play area in the fresh air! The steps look great, Sean! That color is so pretty. The little table will really be perfect in your cottage! The condition is amazing, and what a bargain! I hope that sticker comes off without damage. 🤯. The doors fit in that opening perfectly! Mixing your videos is fine, Sean….take good care of yourself. The lantern is gorgeous!! Love from Pennsylvania, USA 💕🌷🐻
Sean, I’m American and moved to France 2 years ago. It’s quite normal to keep one’s cats inside in the states. Many of our French and ex-pat friends think we are daft for doing so, but in addition to their safety it also keeps local wildlife safe. Good on you!
Glad the Kitties are safe inside. Most Americans keep their pets indoors too. I keep mine inside in the winter months and let them outside in the summer. You sure have a good eye for antiques.Love that cute little table. Would look great in your cottage next to the fireplace your working on. I really like the bathroom vanity you've made. It's all going to look so good when everything is done. Hi from Indiana. ❤
The lamp is beautiful Sean! I started pointing my brick staircase today. It was my very first attempt and I did pretty good. Had a good teacher! 😁 It will take me the rest of the week to finish it. I am also starting a food forest/no dig. next year. I am so excited to be living on and off the land,,
Sean on your oil lamp, in the USA it is called a glass chimney. It should fit into the prongs to hold it. The one you have is way too small in diameter to fit it.
I think it's great your worried about your cats. In my neighborhood they run wild, and I get to clean up the mess in my flower beds. I love you built them a safe space.
I love the lantern, the light cleaning brought it back wonderfully. It would make a lovely hanging bedside lamp. It is good to know you take care of your fur babies, letting them spend time in a enclosed area outside to play while you are outside, and back inside when the weather does not permit them to stay warm and dry. I live in a small city, a few blocks from two main roads. A neighbour lets her cats out all year. After a few years they complain that someone has stolen them, probably the Pound/SPCA. We have decided, next time one is around us, in our garden, we will see if we can introduce it to our two cats. They are let outside in all weather, sad really considering how cold it can get here in the winter. I just love seeing your fur babies safe and having fun in the sun. Take care. Ronnie in Saskatchewan
It’s awesome that your kitties have a safe place and still get to enjoy being outside. Whatever you want to video for us. Love the site seeing and seeing the antiques the you bring home.
Good finds at the brocant. I'm glad you had a dry day to repaint the steps. Your food forest reminds me of my grandfather's garden when I was a child. We helped Mamaw preserve tomatoes, freeze beans, make pickels, and fruit preserves. I miss all of the fresh produce. You are lucky.
I’m so sorry your heel is injured Sean and I hope it heals quickly for your sake. I have really enjoyed spending time with you and your family. I loved all your purchases and the light turned out amazing. Sam has to be very happy with it. ❤️
What treasures you all found. The mystery table with the perfect finish and secret drawer is very pretty and the lamp is a beauty. We live on a busy road with wild critters everywhere; we keep our three cats inside for safety. At least your cats have a nice outdoor area as well.
Hi Sean, good call on the cats, I have three and they stay inside. I never thought (my opinion) cats should be outdoor pets anyway, too much danger for them. The steps look beautiful, "yay" no rain. I love all the treasures you bought, especially the table, I love the secret compartment. I love red cabbage. Your food forest will be perfect when its finished. Love from N.Y.
I look forward to seeing your mix of short projects you have such a creative mind and I love all your garden Reno’s it’s a good way to give your back and Achilles heel a break 😊🇨🇦👏👏
The light can probably be hung upside down and attached to the ceiling, too. I love that table! Thanks for taking care of your cats. I put in raised beds this year because of back issues. I filled the deep ones with wood chips. I only had to use enough compost for the roots.
Hopefully the steps dry properly this time so you can finish them for the winter. The lamp is lovely would look great in the cottage. Those doors are lovely look forward to seeing where you use them. That wee table is cute as well and a secure space to hide stuff I wish you could have found two of them make great night stands ;) I wonder if you could copy the design a little and make a second one. People should respect your decision to protect your cats and leave it at that. Take your time healing up and resting lots of festivals and markets or little parks I am sure you can show us whatever you like even do a little cooking video we haven't seen one of those in a while.
I commend you regarding keeping your cat's safe. Not everyone likes cats, cats wonder it's their nature, and they are like toddlers they find mischief. You both are doing it the correct way 😽🙏💖🥰
And the rain came down and washed the spider out. What a unique table. It's a really nice table. Put a shelf above the doors. Soaking the wick in vinegar is supposed to extend the life of the wick. The base of the chimney is called the fitter. You measure the lamp burner to find a chimney of the same size. On the next lamp cleaning try tooth paste. Cool lamp. Red cabbage soup cures what ails you and is tasty. So sorry to hear about your trusty Steed. Blueberries need acidic soil, and usually 2 varieties to fruit.
SEAN! I had a pretty bush that started to die off I think the dogs were constantly peeing on it so I had cut down a massive Russian Olive tree and I used the stump to block the dogs passage next time I noticed an abundance of mushrooms had sprouted around the stump and that pretty bush has completely revived and actually gone back to be full of red berries for the birds,it’s amazing what mushrooms do to the fertility of the soul.
Sean, your cats are safe and content and spoiled. They get all the love and care they need. The items you got at the brocante are lovely, especially that table and lamp. The lamp came up really nice. Great bargains. I am glad you were able to get your steps painted. They look very nice. If you would like to learn more about no dig, check out Sarah Beckmo in Sweeden. She has a lot of experience with no dig gardening. Some of her older videos on no dig are in English. Those tomatoes look tasty. I love fried green tomatoes. Green tomatoes are great for relish or chutney, as you likely know.❤
I commend you and your Wife for keeping the kitties safe. I designed a fence to keep my cats in my tiny garden to keep them safe here in New York City in the Borough of Queens. It gives so much peace of mind. Love that wee table a bit of wax on that secret draw will be fantastic
Good Day Sean!!! Your Victorian era table is MOST unusual as it’s a combination sewing ‘work’ table and humidor…….the IDEAL piece for a cottage setting as it’s a His and Her’s combination table for smaller spaces!!!! I’m SOOOOO envious!!!!
To be honest Sean, l prefer these more mixed vlogs than just watching the reno for a whole vlog. I like seeing what you’re doing to the cottage and then see what you have achieved but not necessarily every stage. Perhaps that’s more forthe men? A mixture is perfect , the garden, the cats, foodie items, brocants , Sam etc. Hope you feel better sion.
I’m jealous of how well you can “cut” the edges! A few more bad armoires and your kitchen & toilets will all have wonderful door cupboards! Hope you take that bottom piece off & hang that beautiful lamp! Absolutely love the table!😍🥰 I use bar soap “ends” for sticky drawers! Put the doors in the tolit higher up (to the closest top noggin) then bath won’t be in the way? That lamp is beautiful!! JEALOUS 😇 💜from 🇨🇦
Sean, I so enjoyed today’s video. Glad you are taking a little break from filming your renovations. You and Sam are so sweet. Would have loved being your next door neighbor. 😊
Sean, you might consider putting in a drop down door above that would give you essentially a vanity station with a mirror above it that could be a place for doing makeup etc…😊
It’s fantastic you’re keeping the cats safe Sean, even here in Cheshire in the UK, I have a catio for mine, safe from traffic, getting stolen, pellet guns any number of atrocities that can’t touch them while they’re enjoying fresh air and playing in the Catio/ cat pen ❤️ Love the lamp 👍
You could take us with you antiquing. So many wonderful things in the French shops. A mixup of activities is great. What ever youdecideto post we will enjoy. Love the brass lamp especially lit at night and that table is stunning at such a fantastic price. Great find Sean! My very favorite is black raspberries. So delicious for a cobbler or jam.
Another great video. Lovely finds. Lamp would look great hanging up, just take off base. Turn over so ring is on the bottom. Hang with chain on hook.? Just a thought. 😊
I think you should try hanging the lamp with the glass on top and the bulb hanging down. You could use the wooden piece to attach it to a ceiling or an overhang outside.
Aloha from Maui! Sean, the stairs look great! Love the outside catio you’ve created. I wish I had one for my kitties! They must be so happy to get some outside time. Love the antiquing video the other day and your finds are lovely. I enjoy watching whatever you do. I truly enjoy the work you do around the cottage as well as seeing little glimpses of the French countryside when you take us on your trips. Keep it up! 💕🌺🌈🌸🌴 Oh and ps: the lamp came out beautiful! 🤙🤙🤙
I live in a national park and there are people here who delight in tormenting cats so mine are securely locked in with their own house with heating and cooling and have huge outside enclosures for their safety. Why are people so cruel to cats so you keep your little ones safe and I will keep mine safe. Lamp looks fab Sean
I had a young peach tree which produced three fruit which I checked on daily. My dog obviously checked on them as well and when they were ready she beat me to it and demolished them! She left the seeds lined up on the back step.
The lamp WOW 🤩 what a lovely transformation! Feel better soon, Achilles injuries are no fun. Whatever you film is always very interesting! I giggle when you call Sam “the boss”…. My dad did the same with my mom 😹😹
I really love that table. I have two square end tables that have on each of (4) sides a flip up that is supported by a wood piece you pull out to hold each side up. The are kind of a petal shape. They aren’t old. Maybe from Ethan Allen I don’t remember. And I got them from an online auction (where you pick up the items, you choose areas to look at where you don’t mind traveling to, to pickup items) I only paid $25 for the pair, so lucky, love them. Depending on where you put them, you can put one or all four sides up and the finish was perfect. Like I said they weren’t old but they’re gorgeous and quality. Yours reminds me of them a bit.
I applaud you for taking the decision to keep your cats safe. I live on a busy road and my cats are lucky to have an outside catio attached to the house so they are safe and also from being stolen.

I really enjoy your little bit of everything vlogs. It's like "Sean's daily diary". That lamp turned out beautifully!
So glad you keep your cats safe...very kind of you both. 💖💖
I love the way your cat has been watching you through the window! Unconditional love❤

Yes that table is a great find,I love it ❤❤❤

I agree....the cats are happy and safe. Great finds Sean!!
Lamp is great 😊 steps are looking better 😊 garden is brilliant looking after it's self 😊🍰☕️🫖☕️🍰💐
Love Sue ♥️♥️♥️🇬🇧♥️♥️♥️
In Australia, we call the tall plant with the pink flower Cosmos.
I love the lantern, the light cleaning brought it back wonderfully. It would make a lovely hanging bedside lamp.

The little table is lovely and the lantern is really good. Very attractive. 😀
That table was cool! I’ve never seen anything like it.
Omg! I have one my grandfather made that looks almost identical.
That table is beyond adorable! What a find!
You are wonderful cat parents! 🐈
It’s awesome that your kitties have a safe place and still get to enjoy being outside. Whatever you want to video for us. Love the site seeing and seeing the antiques the you bring home.
I love your videos. Thank you.
Sean, take care of you! Just an idea, put the doors to the top and ad a drawer on the bottom! Take care!

I just enjoy your channel so much. You really have a way sprucing up things, and the cottage looks so beautiful.
I commend you regarding keeping your cat's safe. Not everyone likes cats, cats wonder it's their nature, and they are like toddlers they find mischief. You both are doing it the correct way 😽🙏💖🥰
Sean Sam hello never apologies for farm noise and what you do for cats is right😊
Sean, what a difference a little painting does. I love what everyone purchased, it's very nice. That light is gorgeous. Enjoy your evening.
And the rain came down and washed the spider out. What a unique table. It's a really nice table. Put a shelf above the doors. Soaking the wick in vinegar is supposed to extend the life of the wick. Your little table with character, is just perfect. That little light shade was one big surprise...you revealed so much detail that I didnt even see.

Fascinating lamp!
Lovely lamp Shaun 😊
Cats can be such good companions

Fabulous lamp Sean, I absolutely love that little table, I would have definitely bought that. Awesome finds 👏🏻👏🏻😊
I was just thinking, "he should zoom in on that pink flower for me" ... and then you did! 😅 Thanks for that! That light did turn out lovely!
That lamp would look nice with one of those Edison bulbs in it

Great finds! I love the little table! And the lamp....I prefer it as a hanging lamp rather than standing.
Acidic soil is most important with blueberries followed by rain water. Charles Dowding great source for no dig
Great you keep the cats safe ❤
Nice lamp Sean, but I think that a bit more yellow-ish light will be nicer. Love your idea of the foodforrest!💋
Sean, you might consider putting in a drop down door above that would give you essentially a vanity station with a mirror above it that could be a place for doing makeup etc…😊
Beautiful lamp! I love the bits and bobs, as you would say. Prayerfully, your achilles will heal quickly!

Dazzling lamp you have a great eye treasure. See you in the next video. Have a great day!
Shawn you and your wife have a real catwalk
Sean, I love no dig gardening. Charles Dowding method has worked the best for me.
Great job on the lamp, looks beautiful.
Hello, Shane The flower that you just showed that was tall and had the pink petals on it. Those are called cosmos. Enjoy them
I really love the table, wish I had one like it!
I like the "mix em up" videos. They're very interesting.
I had a young peach tree which produced three fruit which I checked on daily. My dog obviously checked on them as well and when they were ready she beat me to it and demolished them! She left the seeds lined up on the back step.
😃
Good find. Very nice. Love the table & lamp.
Great finds Sean. You and Sam have a good eye.
Beautiful lamp. It would look great upstairs.
Beautiful clean up, Sean.
The lamp WOW 🤩 what a lovely transformation! Feel better soon, Achilles injuries are no fun. Whatever you film is always very interesting! I giggle when you call Sam “the boss”…. My dad did the same with my mom 😹😹
It would be beautiful with coloured glass ❤
Lamp is wonderful
Absolutely LOVE the little end table!! Lovely find.
Love that little side table!!
I really like the lamp, but the table is stunning.
Sean, what a find! It’s a beautiful piece of furniture!
That lamp has come up beautifully well done, what a find, I liked the rolling mill, but couldn't see the price! Thanks Sean, enjoying your content!
I really love that table. I have two square end tables that have on each of (4) sides a flip up that is supported by a wood piece you pull out to hold each side up. The are kind of a petal shape. They aren’t old. Maybe from Ethan Allen I don’t remember.
