Defender 130 vibes from outside This car looks good from outside, interior is just stunning and luxurious for the price I will prefer the New Santa Fe over the Fortuner any day
Definitely we need more such car India at price of 30 to 55 lakh price, Fortuner is single handedly is dominating that part with fortuner& fortuner is way too much expensive
Whatever we say. But mindset of consumer will be stuck on Fortuner. However they get treated at toyota dealership. But they will die to get that overpriced shit box. It’s the sad reality. When there won’t be sales why will hyundai think to bring it.
@@keshavbharati1998 lol.. This car competes with Ford Explorer & Toyota Highlander.. These bigg SUVs are made for USA.. These SUVs will never be available in India and you won't get it in 50L...

At last headlights and DRL’s came in a cluster together. Front fascia look promising for sure.. Rear light could have also placed proportionally 😢🙄 It placed really low down…
My first reaction was that it looks like a Defender (in a good way) and then I saw its rear end. I realized that this is probably the most hideous rear end on any vehicle that I have ever seen.
I think it will be a good product for Indian market if Hyundai launches it.. bcoz people trust Hyundai just like Mahindra and Tata…and there is no competition for fortuner…and also there are many Indian who can buy 50lakh car but not be able afford 80-90 lakh Land Rover but want to have all luxury around 50 lakh
265 NM of torque is too low for such a heavy vehicle. With a torque converter on board, I don't think real world efficiency will be more than 6 or 7. Such a lovely car otherwise. Wish they bring it to India with a high torque diesel
I personally loved the exterior look. If they manage to hit it off with the pricing in India, for me atleast, it would obliterate the Fortuner from existence entirely!
Well, I am not really a fan of this car's looks, especially its rear side. They should've extended/modified Tuscon's look for this car, in my opinion. Same complain with Creta as well.
I guess the designers were so tired of designing this long and bulky car by the time they sat to design the rear they just made a flat board like rear end to somehow complete the car design 😂
It'll never come for 50 lakh in India. They'll probably make it around 1 crore or thereabouts. Even the Toyota Fortuner, with Taxes in Australia costs under 30 lakhs while in India, I doubt you can get it under 30 lakh.
The Tucson and the Ioniq 5 are class leaders in many areas. In the expected price bracket with those powertrains and dynamics, this would merely be an 'also ran' . Almost destined to fail even before its launched.
It’s amazing as always Hyundai never step back in features with its arrivals but the exterior is pretty unexpectedly not impressive specially from rear side. Other then that it’s totally worth and hopefully it’s get soon on the road of india. And sir please let us also know about the upcoming date of all new e class face lift.
Seems like hyundai hired a lot of designers and engineers from JLR. Its so much like the defender and has a lot of cue all around even the dimensions are the same as 110. 😮😮. And seems like the engineers are not very happy with the hike - just look at the rear end. 🤮
Fourtuner has become a rich and powerful status in India none can beat that status, but yeah many have tried lyk Ford endeavour and Pajero but unfortunately they dint make out
Yes if it gives decent mileage and can cruise comfortably between 120-150 kmph keeping latest expressways in mind.. Not bad hyundai.. I like the retro design.. Keep it a lac or two above fortuner so only classy people would prefer it.. It will sell less but don't bring it in India for the numbers game..
227 HP not 180 HP, 350Nm not 265Nm @AutocarIndia you should check the fact that the car you are reviewing here makes about 227 HP & 350Nm of torque with the combination of the ICE and Hybrid System.
I will book it once launched immediately. We need a luxury suv in india with reasonable service cost as well as good service network which hyundai has pan india.
Fortuner's real competition is Hyundai Palisade, not this one. But I really wish Hyundai launches this car, or both these cars in India too. I don't know why they haven't launched them in India yet.
The outside shots in US with desert area around the road and interior shots in Seoul. The number plates are different too. They don't allow you to film there in South Korea with cameras outside cars?
I am in market for XUV upgrade and the choices are so limited. If Hyundai launches it in Fortuner price range, they have me as a customer. I can give them advance right away
Ok so 2 points here from my view. 1. What is up with the rear design. I mean I get they wanna make it "cool" and "futuristic" but it just looks like it's part of some other car. 2. 1.6L petrol (hybrid) for a car this size ?? Oh just realised a 3rd point...upwards of 50L. I don't think it's a very wise choice..
Santa FE is looking like a car of 60-70L segment. Fortuner exterior and interior feels 2 leagues/generations down/old compared to this Engine wise toyota is beast
Just think..what if hyundai goes completely mad and launch this in India!! What will be the price?? And does it makes toyota to add feel good features in the fortuner??
H pattern headlamps are the worse... I personally think not just copying silhouette of Land rover defender will work... But also it needs to be capable and a good 3rd row seat for 2 adults of 6 footers...
Hyundai can put all the bells and whistles in their car, but Toyota will always rule. King of reliability for a reason. Hyundai cars are lemon with endless recalls every year.
In addition to 1.6 L Hybrid set-up for mileage hungry crowd, need 3.0L V6 mild hybrid version for performance oriented class who prefer power, performance over mileage
Seriously auto journalist from our country are mind blown over whn they see a fast usp charging.. Curve screen and recline seats... This feature are available in most Maruti. Grow up so called journalist
50 lakhs for a 1.6 ltr engine? Definitely would go for a fortuner or a skoda kodiaq or if we lucky we can get ford back (sanad plant sale is on hold) and have the Bi-turbo for endeavour/ everest.
You should make a channel AutocarWishlist to add these reviews, otherwise no point of reviewing cars for Indian viewers when they're not going to launch in the India.
TRUTH BOMB: Tuscon and Ioniq 5 are doing decent at best and that too because they don't really have their direct rivals from Toyota in India, but this squares off with the Fortuner which frankly, is impossible to defeat in the 45-60 lakh SUV Price Bracket. Hyundai could have a shot at decent numbers but it would have to undercut the Fortuner like Jeep had to do with their Meridian and even after that Meridian achieves less than half the numbers of the Fortuner. Nice Video guys but I really don't see this coming to India and even if it does... it would be priced either equal to or more than a Fortuner which makes it a hard sell.
the educated class and young generation don't really see the Fortuner as a must have or great product now. We need these modern SUVs in 40 lakh bracket more than ever. only politicians and tier 2 3 black money guys buy fortuners.

Defenitely superior to the fortuner. A strong contender for going head on with it in the market. They should definitely look at launching this!
