A couple of updates with 100+ real world miles on this scooter: 1) The brakes on my unit came super tight, but they quickly loosened up and became less sensitive. 2) Even when I turned off "app optimization" on the NIU App, it still is not working as intended.
Hey man, thank you so much for uploading this! I was thinking about snagging this up while it's on sale, but tbh the thing you mentioned about the tires might be a deal breaker for me. You saved me 200 bucks and a lot of hassle!
Thanks for the comment! I do not blame you. I wish I was aware of that when I made the purchase. There's a lot of other options out there to choose from.
Not quite. You have to screw the handle bars in. Takes about 5 minutes. Also, you have to plug it in before turning it the first time on in order to activate the battery

Such a helpful video! I think I need to order mine right now!
Much better than Segway Ninebot E2 at lower price. Like it!

Me seeing the video after buying the scooter : 💀
For me I was still very happy with my purchase. The wheels seem thick enough that it's unlikely you'd need to replacement them anyways, imo.
