Great video. I have the sc5000s and just got an opportunity to upgrade to the sc6000s at minimal cost but this was the only review I could find showing the differences. Great job.
I just sold both my Sc5000m's and went with the 6000m's, the screen is brighter on the Sc5000m but everything else is better on the 6000m's but not by much. You can't go wrong with either. The larger screen makes a difference for my 50+ eyes. The 6000m is definitely less flashy. Everything is on point in this video.
Didn't realise you were reviewing from my old home, NZ ... until the end of your video ... great review bro! Answered every question I had regarding me wanting to use a SC5000M and SC6000M together and hoping they can both use Tidal and use the same music from the internal HDD on the SC6000M. The different sized platters is a lil bit of a deal breaker for me but that's purely preference
Your page deserves more attention. Keep up the quality, trust me you’re channel is amazing. Thank you for making these videos, and I repeat please keep it up.
Great review mate,I was on the fence whether I needed the 6000m but after your video I realized its not a huge difference and the 5000 is more than plenty to mix properly and still get the vinyl touch. You da man!!!!
The SC5000 units are STILL GREAT. Mind their low prices and full software support - you get all the same features. I don't need the bigger screen or jog/wheel. Ofc the SC6000s are also amazing. And they all blow the Pioneer trash out of the game :)
Xdj 700 and 5000 ones they are now nearly the same price and the difference is huge I won't buy anything else from pioneer. I have also opened the pioneer mixers and Allen and heath xone92 and the pioneer one looks a toy in comparison with the xone92. They got advantage from have become the standard and this should change, Also few clubs provide turntables nowadays, people like who play on technics have more issues so as to play and gigs, and that's a real shtttt
The SC5000's are still a great option in 2021 now that they are significantly cheaper than the 6000's and you're still getting the functions. Not every DJ has hands like King Kong
Its all about preference. Some learnt to scratch on turntables, so they would normally prefer a bigger platter. Some learnt to scratch on cdj's so the small platter is not an issue.
thanks for your review. Good and clear. I was looking for 2 sc6000m's, but they are not in stock right now. Some have the 5000m still in stock. I think I go for the 5000m. So thank you again.
I can invest money mew denon products ( more affordable) I will choose 2nd hand pioneers Cdj 3000 is not my dream anyway =) great video.... Some people complain about denon gear not much strong.... These days denon are not in stock
Thanks for the video, I just picked up a couple of SC5000M decks. Would you recommend I use a Denon X1800 mixer with these decks because I want to use in stand alone mode don’t want to use a laptop. Thanks
@@allthingsdj4652 upgraded one 5000m for one 6000m i have one of each for now.... like your review .. 6000m is much smoother 10 .1 screen major difference
Do you still have the 6000, have your rubber coated buttons started to go sticky like they are covered in glue? I've had problems with this rubber coating on electronics before and had to strip it off with methylated spirits.
i think the lighting for the hotcues is a clear downgrade functional wise in club environment. was much better to see the sqare around then just a little stripe somwhere on the button. and if - it should have been exactly in the middle. as in theory when its dark and you just see the stripe you just can guess the correct position of the button. seems they were a bit overmotivated to make it less flashy
My 6000m platter have no play at all. However, my one disc's clip mechanism leaves a slight gap, which makes spin backs or scratching too loose. can be fixed by adding an extra paper or wax slipmat underneath the disk.
I clearly state on the video that both decks are reading from the same hard drive at the same time. Yes the tracks happens to be different, but they have the same file properties and are more or less equal in length. This is a real world test, not a clinical lab test where every micro millisecond makes a difference to the conclusions. And the results were still declared equal anyway.
That doesn't matter, because the difference in loading spread was so negligible, the argument still hold. You don't have to be anal about everything if it doesn't matter. Its about showing there is no significant loading time difference, whether the tracks are the same or not. So there is no give away, gotcha or anything to 'LoL' about mate.

You have over 50 eyes? Might want to see a doctor about that 🙃

I completely agree, Pioneer is over rated , I got the xdi 700 and got rid of em and Ill Get the 5000 ones, I also prefer the small ones.

Glad I could help
@11:53-11:55 is the best bit
I would replace the pitch fader of the sc6000m to the grey sc5000m one to me feels better!
Thanks, great video ! Will look for a second hand 5000 soon, and get that LC 6000 controller, cheap combo. Upgrade later to 6000.
thank you from this great comparaison 👍🏾

I have my 6000m for over a year now. Still going strong. If you treat them well, they'll take care of you for long.
Great video. Whats the track in the background during the load track tests?
great video! lots of info!
I don't know why djs are not accepting denon player?but I love this their latest and this arè my dreams but don't have money for now,

Old man's eyes 😂 awesome bro
I purchased two denon sc 5000m for $799 each... love them
Congratulations on a great buy

Your sc5000 needed an firmware upgrade, maybe that will change some thing on the OS to make the 6000 and 5000 equal
Regarding the brightness and which one is better you could have turned the lights off so we can see the difference. Thanks for the video, anyway!
En el minuton14cuando los enciende se ve claramente
hey would you rather a 5000m or a 6000 (no m)
can you install the 6000 control disc on the 5000?
why a pioneer mixer and not a X1850?
man great fucking video!
Personally think denon will become a leader in the future

Makes no sense why they don't provide a smaller version of a screen glare retractor shield, used to have them at school years ago
I keeping both the sc5000m and the sc6000m like that 4 deck setup
That is also a good option if you mix 3 or 4 decks all the time.
Did they ever fix the brightness of the screen ?
they do sale for sc 5000 in my country
Its the 5000M that is reported to be discontinued. The 5000 still lives on at stores.
@@allthingsdj4652 oh wow i wonder if the price will drop .how good is the sc5000m for scratching ?
I thought the sc6000m had a setting to change the display brightness?
It does, but on its highest setting, its still not good enough for outdoors.
i think the lighting for the hotcues is a clear downgrade functional wise in club environment. was much better to see the sqare around then just a little stripe somwhere on the button. and if - it should have been exactly in the middle. as in theory when its dark and you just see the stripe you just can guess the correct position of the button. seems they were a bit overmotivated to make it less flashy
Do the platters of the 6000Ms have any play in them? forward-back side to side ?
My 6000m platter have no play at all. However, my one disc's clip mechanism leaves a slight gap, which makes spin backs or scratching too loose. can be fixed by adding an extra paper or wax slipmat underneath the disk.
Bro, how many cases do you have in the back?
Not enough - LoL
Track loading tests must be done on the same track and drive! not like in video
I clearly state on the video that both decks are reading from the same hard drive at the same time. Yes the tracks happens to be different, but they have the same file properties and are more or less equal in length. This is a real world test, not a clinical lab test where every micro millisecond makes a difference to the conclusions. And the results were still declared equal anyway.
bigger, soft buttons, and drive bay inside
When your testing the track loading speed, you're definitely not loading the same tracks on both decks. The track lengths and titles give it away lol
That doesn't matter, because the difference in loading spread was so negligible, the argument still hold. You don't have to be anal about everything if it doesn't matter. Its about showing there is no significant loading time difference, whether the tracks are the same or not.

are you dumb, lazy or trolling?
Hi. Yes it does. Guys lets not disrespect each other with personal meaningless insults. State arguments/ opinions, not insults.
