    Does the number in the middle of the precancel represent a particular company or a small town? I started collecting US Postal Stationary last year. So far I have been collecting mint whole envelpes back to the 1920's. When I get beyond that I will probably have to settle for cut squares. You keep saying Post Cards. Do Canadians not make a distinction between Post Cards and Postal Cards like we do here in the US?

      I will be doing a video in the near future about precancels but suffice it to say that the number represent towns. I have always used the term postal card and postcards interchangeably perhaps taught so by my father, the post offices also use these terms interchangeably so who knows?
