Thank you for this video. It’s always interesting to see what bargains you’ve found.
Hello! New subscriber here. Great video & topical collection. I am getting back into stamp collecting myself, and am enjoying your stamp videos. Thanks for sharing! 😊
Great to have you onboard!

many thanks for the comment, I always get those pesky roman numerals mixed up!
Thank you for share such a wonderful colection. I have a question that you could make a video with. What is the deal with CTO's? Are they considered new or used or it's own thing? As always, it was a pleasure to watch.
Good question! I did and earlier video on just this topic, I believe it was called CTO controversy.
Hello Stamp Sleuth, Just watched your Sports Stamp Topical feature. Very attractive vast display of stamps. A very nice collection. I'm envious! Also that was an interesting tidbit about the two different Pete Rose stamps sheets you explained. -BobN from Illinois
I'm glad you enjoyed the video, BobN. I love the Pete Rose stamps!
Very nice topical collection! When I started a stamp club with my group of kids at the local elementary school where I work, sport-themed stamps were a big help to get modern kids interested in giving philately a try. My approach was always to start them with topical collecting. Sports and animals were always the most popular among both boys and girls.
That is so great that you are exposing another generation the stamp collecting. Thank you.
That is a great way to get kids into stamp collecting!
Many thanks for the kind comment and taking the time to leave it, thanks for watching!
Thats a nice selection of glass, here is what I can add. All of the insulators you shared are intended for a single wire. The larger insulators have the extra ring on the inside called an inner skirt or a petticoat, patented in 1883. It is believed the star insulators were manufactured by a couple of manufactures for General Electric. The last one is a CD-147 intended to be able to replace a broken insulator without having to un-tie the wire.
Most interesting. Thank you for sharing your find.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you for watching.
I really like the frog set, very cute. Can't go wrong for only $20. Nice find.
They sure are cute aren't they, glad you liked them!
You certainly must never run out of interesting conversation pieces in your home! You have such a wide range of artifacts and collectibles!
Thanks for watching! Yes, I have a lot of fun with all of these items.
Excellent video! I have long been divided on CTO stamp status. They were a big part of my start as a young philatelist, so I have that attachment. For a while the Middle Eastern producers were called "dunes" and most of them (along with some others like Equatorial Guinea) were listed in the "For The Record" section in Scott's. I don't know when or why this stopped. Now imagine my surprise when I got recent CTOs from Denmark and Greenland with the backing paper on! 😳

Pullar çok güzel. Amerika'ya ait bu kadar pullar görmemiştim, videonuz için teşekkür ederim. Detaylı inceme yaparsanız Amerika'ya ait pul bilgilerimi çoğaltırım.
Nice collection. I like the design of Mexican stamps, unfortunately in Poland they are rather rare and it is very difficult to build a collection.
You have a very nice Mexican stamp collection, Stamp Sleuth. Thanks for sharing and for the information you give about the stamps. Take care!
Thank you for watching and for leaving such a kind comment!
I live right next to railroad tracks and have a decent collection. Love this, thank you
I hope you find many more around the tracks!
I like old Mexican stamps. so I enjoyed the video. The middle issue definitive stamps come with various similar watermarks. I find them difficult to differentiate.
Many thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment, much appreciated!
Lovely Mexico collection.
Nice collection, I really like the export stamps.
Thanks for sharing this airmail collection. I've been collecting airmail for a while, both stamps and covers. It's great fun especially when you come across a stamp of an airplane you've worked. I've had a couple of those.
Thanks for watching! Sounds like you are enjoying a well rounded collection!
Great content! I knew nothing of Greek stamp history. I've learn some interesting facts about this matter. Can't wait for your next video.
Magnifier works well just slow down it's not a race. A very interesting video thank you.😊
Hi sleuth. Cubs were boys too young to be a scout. And the green triangular patches were merit patches for look passing different tests. Best regards James in Scotland.
Very nice collection and so much useful information!!!
Love that you found an interest in insulators. I have many that I have picked up over the years. Mine sit on the window sashes where there light shines on them. I have a collection of blue prints from Lewis Stillwell and his designed insulators for the Westinghouse Corp.and Tesla Niagara Project. It's all to cool. Keep it up.
That’s quite a collection! Thanks for watching!
I don't see insulator content on UA-cam too often I have been considering doing a similar video myself but haven't. It's nice to see someone new posting about this here so I hope you continue to enjoy what insulators have to offer.
Many thanks for watching and for leaving such a thoughtful comment!
Lovely old stamp albums. I've recently restarted stamp collecting now that I am retired and am finding it great fun. The Victorian stamps are very expensive, but you can get some good bargains online. I need to use diplomacy with my wife to keep within budget from month to month. My daughter has also taken an interest, so she can inherit my albums. I'd recommend using stamp mounts rather than hinges though like you showed in the 2nd album as hinge marks on the back of stamps can reduce their value. Thanks for making the video.
MY OLDER BROTHER HAS A STAMP COLLECTION, FULL SHEETS, 1ST DAY OF ISSUE, ETC..... Hes 74 and hasn;t collected for years. PS: I HAVE A SPECIAL INSULATOR, IT;S CITRINE.
Sounds like he needs a nudge! That insulator sound special, knew they existed, never seen one!
A nice group of stamps. Just an FYI the stamps from Oman are really from Umm al Qiwain. The stamps from Latvia are actually from Lithuania. I love Tanna Tuvan stamps. As usual love your videos.
Thanks for the info! I do try to get it all aright but often a few escape!
Hi, very interesting air mail collection, I liked it a lot.
Glad you liked it
Air mail is a very interesting branch of philately. Somewhat romantic in my opinion. A great next step for beginner collectors. Greetings.
Many thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment!
Hello Stamp Sleuth. Greetings. That was a very interesting video on your Air Mail Stamp collection you covered just now. I would love to get some World Wide Air Mail stamps in my modest A.M. collection from any country other than the USA. Very interesting looking stamps. BobN from Illinois
Glad you enjoyed it!
What an interesting collection! Collecting airmails is an achievement in itself as they are less common than other regular stamps and thus often more pricey. The inclusion of covers in this particular collection ads a lot to it, with the specific enveloppes with the red/white/blue borders (we don't see them much these days), the special airmail tags and cancellations, etc. Thanks for showing this collection Stamp Sleuth!
Many thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment, and yes I agree airmails are just the ticket (Pun intended!)
@@StampSleuth Hahaha! Good one!
Hi, thanks so much once again for your video. Very interesting to see so many different countries in your album. I have some nice airmail stamps in my collection of Belgium stamps. Looking forward to watching more of your content.
Thank you for watching and taking the time to leave a comment, happy to hear you enjoyed the video!
Cool video. Love Space stamps.
Thanks for showing us your Greece stamp collection!
My pleasure!
Good evening, 10:08 thanks for your interesting videos. I think the stamp you are showing at 8:44 ist not a Greece stamp but a newspaper stamp from Austria from 1867. Best regards from Northern Germany, Wolfgang
Thanks for that!
Wow. That's a impressive, informative showing of the Greece stamps collection! Very nice stamps. Thank you. BobN from Illinois.
Many thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment, much appreciated!
With such a long and rich history, I'm not surprised to see that Greece has such beautiful stamps. Thanks for the philatelic visit!
Glad you enjoyed it! Many thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment.
What a cool collection! Fossils is something that I would love to get into one of these days. You have such a wide range of interests! You must have been the best at show & tell in your school days!
Thanks for watching! I was a teacher so these collection came in handy!
as i mentioned it before i'm glad that you included my half country[i'm half greek] Interesting lot but i have my greek stamps in a stockbook for the moment while i am compiling Album Easy pages. There coming along quite great...but it takes time.I finished for the Postage due, Charity Tax stamps etc. There are also Proof stamps that were never used. and also VIGNETTES.
Nice work! Many thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment.
I love those outfit stamps. I only collect worldwide up to 1959, and if I recall correctly , that series bled into 1960. I thought about trying to add them all to complete the series, but I cannot start doing that for every country.
those greek costume series ,they were 3 sets 1972,1973 and 1974. On the 1972 set the 2,50 drachma has also a misprint [without the year]. I collect Greece by the way as it is my country that i live in and it was my mother's side. I also have some spare's if your interested.
@@rogerturner1881 Ah, yep. They were all more modern. I Remembered hoping they weren't cuz they are cool. Thank u for the offer of those, but I plan to give away anything I have after 1959 worldwide. Collecting up til then is already more than I'll ever achieve in my lifetime. If you are interested in trading earlier stamps, I have a huge binder of my duplicates, sorted my countries and would love to trade. Thanks:)
No kidding it seems to be a huge set!
Many thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment. Also thanks for the offer but there is no need at present!
Many thanks for watching hope you find someone to trade stamps with, I do not trade though!
Здравствуйте! У вас превосходная коллекция. Марки очень красивые.
thank you for the video. Belgium is a country with a lot of interesting pre-cancels. I don't cellect them specifically, but when I come across them, I do keep them.
Thanks for sharing!
Hello, I watched your video and liked seeing the part about the Tiki letter opener during the 4-min. + mark. As I appreciate hand made wood carving pieces. Nice! BobN from Illinois.
Many thanks for watching and taking the time to leave a comment!
There are CTO's that have Catalogue prices soooooo I collect ALL stamps 😂😂😂
Great reason to collect them plus they often are quite lovely! Many thanks for watching and for leaving a comment, much appreciated!
Thank you for showing us your Greenland collection, Stamp Sleuth, and for the interesting information you gave with it.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thank you so much for watching and for leaving a comment!
Thank you for this short introduction to Greenland stamps! I'm also from Canada, so I like that Greenland, our neighbour to the east, has a lot of similar themes as Canada in their philately. I've I always wanted to add Greenland to my short list of countries in my collection but haven't get into it so far. So many interesting topics, so little budget and time...
Thanks for watching! Even more thanks for leaving so great a comment, glad you enjoyed the video!
Hi sleuth. Lighter fluid will remove tape residue. Always enjoy your videos. Best regards from James in Scotland.
