I’ve said Bowen & Kudus have had their flair coached out of them recently looking for the pass rather than just going for goal. But Bowen was different, and his goal showed that single mentality to shoot. Summerville outshone Kudus, ‘Jimmy’ was trying, Kudus was still looking for the pass. As you said it was a disappointing game, a better side would have capitalised on Wolves chances. A long drive home wasn’t helped by that performance.
Not sure where kudus’ head is at right now.. I’m putting down his lack of running because he’s short of match fitness and I hope that’s all it is I hope we see him back to full speed by the next game and agreed Summerville did outshine him
That was truly dreadful, I lost count of the number of times Fabianski booted the ball upfield and it coming straight back, a Moyes tactic if ever there was one, I have to say thank god for Bowen, I shudder to think what it would be like without him
We are where we should be and Wolves are where they should be. Two very poor teams with no real tactics or drive. Both just going through the motions. But 3 massive points. Great to see Fuillrug was rewarded with important minutes after his goal last week. Why would JL not given him 15 minutes??
You’re right about where we are in the league … we are no better than mid to lower table right now The omission of Fullkrug was rather bizarre to say the least
watch on TV wolves put 10 players behind the ball for most of the 1st half thats why it looked a hard game they defend for the lifes the game opened up in the 2nd half
So fed up of the "he's got one last game"...They were piss poor last night and the only reason we came out of that with anything is because the ref was not very good at his job, if it was Man City or Arsenal I'm sure there would have been at least one penalty.
Great to actually meet you, Paul and Wiggy tonight, Stel. Apologies if I was a bit starstruck. I haven't been that excited since I had a chance meeting with Bubbles outside the club shop. 😉 Bowen's goal was top drawer, and the three points are very welcome. COYI.
Mng Stel. We've become a poor side now. The same 'passing behind the man' which really slows down any transition and Paqueta for Solar was a bad sub, Paqueta way off it again. Kudus doesn't want to be here anymore, Mavropanos got lucky on many occasions, Summervilles 'flashy' on the ball but too lightweight, Aleverez too slow, Emmerson reckless and poor again. I find myself starting to think it's not just Lopetegui, we haven't got good enough players in key positions. Bowen showed himself to be a great clubman, terrific performance. We're bottom 1/3 all season and will do well not to get drawn into a relegation battle. We've descended very quickly and very badly. Great video Brother.
Hello mate .. good analysis of the situation You may be correct that we’re not likely to improve much on being mid table Something is clearly wrong with the players as there is no urgency or vibrancy about their game I think they are good enough. But it seems that perhaps the tactics simply don’t suit them
So now we are going to get a Moyes situation loppy will get 3 more games if we lose 2 win 1. He gets another 3. We won tonight but no celebrating from me tonight
The reason I'm not celebrating is not because we won I'm happy with that but we are stuck with loppy for longer. Bournemouth and Brighton next how many points do you think we are going to get?
@@smokey6766 How many points do you think we are 'entitled to'? How many points did you think we were going to get away to Newcastle? Or away to Palace who put 5 pst us last year? Or Fulham who put 5 past us last year? How did you think we would get on v Man U this year? I mean what is it you think should be happening? Because you are obviously very knowledgeable about football so much so you don't think the team should get your support.
I don’t know is the honest answer I guess if we win enough games to stay in this league then job done But if it continues to be such average football then the season ticket renewals will take a hit
I wanted to see a convincing performance but it didn’t materialise The next two games will provide a real insight into whether we’ve made any improvement or not
Soller, had a great chance in the first half with that amazing block by the Wolves player. trouble is with Antonio, you never knew where the players heads were going to be. 26 touches inside the Wolves penalty area in the first half. The Kudus, goal must have been incredibly marginal that´s why Wolves weren´t given that penalty. Quite simply you don´t make rash challenges in the box as Mavropanos, did. Bit like that Sarr, challenge yesterday against Chelsea. The Wolves player was heading outside the box. Not sure a change of manager is going to solution anything
That one chance in the first half was decent … it’s good that the players acknowledged Antonio and thank goodness it didn’t have a negative impact Penalty wise perhaps we were lucky.. we’ve seen penalties given for softer challenges
Thanks Stel we had 11 corners, they had none. We need a set piece coach. I didn’t like the subs, Kudus should’ve stayed on. Paqueta looked miserable and decided to take a long range shot near the end which nearly bit us in the arse. Wolves should’ve had a pen from Mavropanos. Glad we won, sorry Lopetegui is staying on. Sorry Gary O’Neil looks so unwell with stress. Set him free.
Thanks Joan.. I think Paqueta is upset because he’s been dropped but he has because he’s been playing poorly. Disappointed the two kudus goals were disallowed as he needs one to boost his confidence Both Lopetegui and O’Neill look extremely stressed
I’m struggling and don’t usually want to see a call for a manager to be sacked… the concern for me is the style of football he wants us to play may not suit the fast pace of the premier league
Why on earth is he not using a proven German international striker, now apparently fit again, to get on the end of crosses and bloody steady the ship ? Sorry, but Ings has had his go, let’s see what Fullkrueg can actually do.
Maybe a controversial opinion but I’d stick with Lopy this season unless we are dragged into a relegation battle. Give it a couple months Howe / Ange and possibly other managers become available and within the “out of work” pool we can pick from….
Mavropanos / Emerson almost blew it again, rash challenges. How is that Loppy’s fault? The players are over paid and over protected in my opinion. The buck must stop with them. Bowen / Soucek scores in a difficult situation, and 2 donkeys almost let Wolves back in the game. I was surprised Alvarez didn’t get his customary red card. 3 players in January would make a huge difference. Newcastle away showed promise. Soler looks a great prospect. Good to see him getting ahead of Paq. Was disappointed Fullkrig didn’t get a run out. Looking like he is gone in January. How can loppy work without a striker for 14 games? Kudos missing for 6 games. Anyway upwards & onwards for the happy Hammers.
I agree we do have way too many errors in our game and are picking up way too many cards If Lopetegui stays I am not so sure the board will back him in January with transfers… I guess we’ll have to see
I could have easily gone home at halftime Stel. The second half was better but it was full of mistakes and poor performances. The referee was very poor, even if a lot of the decisions went our way. Wolves could have had a couple players sent for second yellows. Terrible game all round.

Thankfully mate we’ve pulled ourselves away from being in a relegation dogfight. But a few defeats might see us plummet down there
We certainly had the 12th man for that result!!!.

Was very good bowing goal , I only nearly crapped my self when creswel came on, all in all happy days , Antonio’s day ❤️❤️⚒️
I did worry that our 11 players for the 8 minutes added time were quite weak but we got through it
Watched the soucek interview on sky after the game and have to big him up for the goal/celebration and his kind words about Mickey ⚒️⚒️
At least we can see some kind of togetherness in the squad
He spoke well

I don’t blame you
Most exciting part was the end when their captain went for Bowen
Atmosphere was so flat tonight but l expected it. I came away bored but delighted three points in the circumstances of the last couple of weeks
It was pretty flat.. a lot of apprehension in the air
We missed someone with some balls like Antonio in beast mode. We could not pass 2 yards, absolute shocking or was it?
Our set up was marginally better but we were playing an awful wolves team
Look on the bright side - we got 3 points and are only 1 point behind Man U and 2 points behind Newcastle and Spurs.
That’s the odd thing isn’t it … 9 points off Europe, 9 points off relegation
