- just an everyday guys opinion on what is the best option for people who want Aventus but can't get the real thing due to the best batches running out! I'm no expert but here's my opinion anyway 😉
This is the better review on this subject of Creed Aventus and some its most popular dupes... The thing that sets your review apart from others is the fact that you have two good examples of Creed Aventus on which compare with... I would agree with the information that you are presenting here.. It is good to see the comparisons made when the real deal is also present within as it makes it easier for a viewer to make a positive decision without wasting money on impulse purchases that all too often lead to disappointment. Cheers mate 👍 I do consider myself a bit of an informed lover of Aventus and I've done a fair bit of research on the various batches and ingredient changes that have caused the huge batch variation we've seen over the last 9-10 years.
Chasing 'grail' batches became a bit of a side adduction if I'm honest, but hopefully the video gave some insight to alternatives that are out there for you.
I'm doing another video next Tuesday with an update to my conclusion about where Aventus is now and what the absaloutly best dupe is for ppl after the very best version available now.

It's not about the batches. Just use the stuff. As you spray, the alcohol seeps out and it becomes stronger over time. Or just get Club de nuit edt/edp. I recommend edt because it retains something special that gets lost in the edp/limited. Drives the ladies crazy. CDN Edt is my most complimented smell ever.

Great video mate. Stopped me from going too far down an Aventus rabbit hole, was incredibly surprised at how short-lived the current batches are based on a sample, 3-4 hours tops which for the money is insane. Now proud owner of CDN IM Limited Edition and Cedrat Boise Intense, both of which are epic *and* great value. 105ml of each for less than 30ml Aventus, Thanks again 👍

You bought 2 fantastic frags there, the CDN LE gets even better with a bit of maceration too.
I think the Cedrat Boise intense is 120ml so that's an even better deal, especially as you say compared to the latest Aventus batches being basically lemon water 😀.

This is a great video and really helpful! I got a decant of Aventus in my literal first fragrance buy as a hobby and fell in love. I decided early on that I was going to buy a bottle but I wanted to wait for a good time when it made sense financially. I had a bonus coming up at work and I decided it was time, so I started pricing in anticipation. Long story short, it was in my cart when sample cards of Cedrat Boise and the intense arrived. It was love at first sniff for the intense, so I ultimately bought that instead of actual Aventus. Here I am now, looking for something more like actual Aventus lol.
I can't speak about old batches of cedrat Boise, but I had no issues with performance from it even from the little sample sprayer. I only have maybe 20 total fragrances so having the intense and the original is probably not super smart right now but I wouldn't hesitate to the recommend it to others based on current formulation.

Cedrat Boise Intense is simply superb so you made an excellent decision there, especially as your other option was a current Aventus batch which quite frankly is a pale imitation of what it once was so you made the right decision 💯 👌.
Other than my 6 bottles of Aventus I've only got around 17 niche frags in my collection now, I've got a ton of great dupes too but nowadays I have to really think hard before another niche purchase, although I did buy my wife Angel Share for Xmas, on the understand we could share it 😉😀. Il be doing a review and comparison video very soon 👍
Thanks for the detailed comparison, you pretty much helped me end my search for the best Aventus clone, I had Explorer , cdnim edt and I at the moment have cdnim edp and had my eye on the pure parfum version is it now I know for sure, Limited Edition without a doubt must be the one.

You won't be disappointed with the Limited Edition, its a very good buy if you can get it for a reasonable price.
It gets better with some maceration too, mine is 10 months old and it's even more of a powerhouse now 😀

I got into Aventus in 2022 worst year of Aventus lmao but eventually I got good old batch’s and I appreciate what Mont Blanc explore has done but the fact is none of these have anything on Aventus and I appreciate your video and time on making them I hope to see more batch reviews etc you did a great job covering this topic 👌🏼

I'm glad you managed to find some good batches in the end, my advice would be to hold on to them and use them sparingly for special occasions etc.
Like you say it really was incredible and will always be the King in my opinion, I just wish they could make it like they use too 😔
On a side note I can heartily recommend Naxos by Xerjoff, it's incredible juice, probably my most complimented after the king, totally different scent profile but incredible none the less 👌
So what’s the best batch of creed? I want to buy a bottle but don’t quite understand the batches and if I’ll even end up with a good one.

The best batch is a case of much debate amongst the Aventus addicts like myself!
Personally I love 15X21 and I'm also a massive fan of 15U11, 17S01 and 14G01 to name just 3 😁
Other members will say the smokeyness from the pre-2014s (so the 12/13 years) are the best, I had a 12L01 but I thought it had a whiff of bacon crisps about it 😀
But ultimately it boils down to what batches are actually available, and which is the best batch from that list that you prefer.
There's so much fakery with aventus that you might not even be getting that 16M01 you've just paid £300 for (another beauty) but some fake juice in a legit bottle.
Personally I'd join a legitimate Facebook group and but some decants from trusted members, I'd go from post 2016 so 16/17/18/19 batches as they are around for sale if you know where to look and generally the dedicated fan sites will have a trusted sales section.
Don't just jump in blind on ebay as its murky waters on there with the fakers.
On a side note ANY 17/18 or even 19 batch will hands down be better than anything later than that so maybe start with a batch from those years.

@@chrisperry5244As you’ve warned in the video and comments batch searching is a very expensive learning curve and as you’ve suggested the best thing to do is forget about it and move on to newer and better things that is why I bought several retails of absolu Aventus 10 years from now godwiling I’ll look back and have no doubt I’m wearing legit and well stored juice.
I bought the Mancerat and the CDIM EDP for the purpose of testing/comparing and cause I have an open mind. They smell nice but are both absolutely appalling, synthetic and unbearable to the nose after a few hours. They are disgusting to my nostrils, they don't make you feel good, you want to wash it off as they are so offensive and give you a headache. Up close, or if we are in a car together my girlfriends also get a headache with it. Smell is ok from far but it's not pleasurable.
Aventus and Hacivat however smell fantastic whether from far or up close, and feel gorgeous even over hours. It's hard to explain but they make me feel good. When women come close to my neck for kisses and all, it makes them come closer rather than having a headache!
You probably got fake stuff that's going around. 99% of stuff makes me feel that way, too. But the CDN edt did not.
I have so many bottles of cdnim i should get a will written up to list how many generations i want to inherit them lol
Even armaf has all the silliness with batches. The earlier batches were the powerhouses apparently.

I've heard their older batches were stronger, apparently it's the bottles without the Club De Nuit written down the sides which are the originals.
I bought CDN LE when it first came out, it's a powerhouse tbf.
It's made hunting down older batches of Aventus redundant as its so close to the 2015s/17s.

I remember very fondly D&G Pour Homme, I'm pretty sure I had the sticker version too! That takes me back a bit to my 90s clubbing youth too 😎, what an awesome scent that was/is. I picked up an original formulation Tommy a cpl of years back, I sprayed that like crazy during the 90s, it comes in the original splash on bottles, fantastic memories. Il be doing a new video every week, although il try and keep them a bit shorter 🙂 Baccarat rouge 540 and it's dupes 😖😃

Funnily enough a mate of mine has 17N01, it compares really well with my 17S01, possibly even better performance

I don't blame you for wanting to have a good alternative to use to save on using up the 17N.
You will be really happy with the CDNIM LE, remember as well that it definitely gets even better after a few months maceration 🤝
Many people start the fragrance game with Creed Aventus reviews and clone battles - and therefore, we have watched more than enough videos explaining even the tiniest details about creed Aventus and clones.
To that extent, many people are now just cloning videos / reviews to have content. on UA-cam but not actually REVIEWING.

There are many many videos on Aventus but I don't think I've seen any from actual collectors who have experienced/owned quite as many batches as I have.
That's why this video was a long one as its quite a big area of the dupe market.
My following videos have all been much shorter (CONSICE) thankfully 😉 👍

Cheers buddy 👍 yes I have the 150ml black bottle CDNIM, it's actually pretty good tbf! Not quite as smooth as the LE but for the price it's quality 👌. The dry downs are so similar too. Incidentally I picked up an original batch of the CDNIM EDT, it's really good too, lighter and even more silage than the parfum 🍻

i love your reviews they are fun and interesting to watch and i watched every one of them from start to finish. you inspired me to finally buy the limited edition parfum i just received it and it smells a lot like smoked deli meat like salami. i never smelled the original batches of aventus but im wondering if the limited edition is really as close to the original batches of aventus as you say because i dont know about you but i guess the limited edition smells like smoky meat on me lol

Wow I've never heard it described as that before! Umm all I can think is its a bad batch/bottle 🤔.
Even before its macerated it should be really smooth and very citrus off the top going into a sweet woods and moss (although the sweet woods develop more over time) definitely no processed meat vibes 😳😃
I'm sorry to hear its a disappointment mate. Personally I'd get a refund and buy it from somewhere else or at least an exchange mate 👍

Hello sir. So I have not smelled the LE myself and as Im getting it from your video it smells like the older batches of Aventus. In theory if this one is 8/10 of old Aventus, can it also be a 9 or 9.5/10 of the Aventus that we are having nowadays? Hope its not a very confusing question. I really enjoyed your Layton clone video too and Im getting the clone featured on that vid. Thank you.

LE is indeed closer to the older batches of Aventus in that it has that somkeyness in the dry down and it has similar projection and great longevity like the older batches had too.
It's not any closer to newer batches as Aventus is Aventus, even the newer batches have the same opening as the older batches. Maybe a bit more citrus than pineapple but very similar. The LE is about 8/10 close to all Aventus batches but far exceeds the longevity and projection of the newer (post 2020) batches.

My question is have you smelled the Club the Nuit Pure Parfum 150ml bottle? And how is it compared to the Limited Edition version? Most people say that are the same without the fancy packaging.

I've got the 150ml CDNIM parfume (black bottle) so if that's the one you mean it's very very good.
CDNIM LE is very similar but it's smoothened out the slightly harsh opening of the edt and edp and smells a little bit more refined through the top, middle and bottom notes.
I also find the LE has matured very nicely over the last 6 months, where as the EDP has stayed pretty much the same, but it's fantastic anyway so no problem there.
Which ever one you get you will be very happy with as they both do an excellent job of recreating Aventus, I just feel the LE has done it a bit better.

How big of a difference do you think there is for 2018 and older Aventus batches?
I just got my first Aventus bottle, F000316, which has a metal cap and I think is from 2022 or 2023. Personally, I love the scent! Is there really that much of a difference with older batches? And is the Armaf you recommended more like vintage Aventus than current Aventus?

Anything from 2018 to 2011 (although anything pre 2015 these days is pretty scarce) will generally benefit from far greater silage and projection, from my experience anyway.
I have a 2019N01 which if I compare it to my 2018S11 the difference is simply longevity and projection, the initial smell is pretty similar.
Once you go back to 2016/2015 you get a more prominent bergamont or red Berry (16M01 is the red Berry master).
Later batches like yours are still very nice initially but just fail to last or project well when compared to the previous 2018 and earlier ones. Put it this way, if the Aventus you have was made by a company and they released it as an Aventus clone and it was 100 quid it would be hailed s the best alternative out there as it does still smell great! It would justify not having the best performance by being pretty affordabe, but the hate goes on it for being £250 plus.

As for Club De Nuit Intense Man Limited Edition it is more reminiscent of pre 2018 batches, it gives off a better smokey birch and definitely gives even 2016s a run for there money with silage and overall performance.

Now that you mention it, I have noticed the performance of my bottle being not quite what I’d expect from it, so that makes sense. P.S. Have you tried Zara Vintage Leather (original)? I’m told it smells extremely similar to Aventus, and some people claim it smells even better.

I just dont know why montblanc keeps getting mentioned as a clone. It is not. Like you said, its more of an inspired by. L’aventure INTENSE and club de nuit intense limited edition are the closest you will get to aventus. Great review 👍🏼
Cheers for the comments 👍 I agree about Montblanc, it isn't a direct clone but just MBs own bergamont/woody take on the genre, most houses have a citrus/wood and that's theirs 😃.
Montblanc themselves are a very well established brand (I owned one of there exceptionally made belts at some point) so they don't need to copy anyone.
I can't remember if if I mentioned it in this video but they do a superb Explorer deodorant stick, it's a real gem when your rocking Aventus or Explorer. 💪👌
I don't have the CDNIM LE but I have the Pure Parfum and EDP versions and, to my nose, I'd put L'aventure above everything you have there except the Parfum which some people have mentioned is the same as the LE with a different bottle. I would agree L'aventure doesn't perform as well as any of the CDNIM but smell wise, L'aventure is closest to recent Aventus out of all of them. Unfortunately, I only have a recent sample of Aventus to compare to though. Explorer was awful to me. Smells nice, terrible performance.

It's amazing how all our noses are different, I just don't get much from L'Aventure, it does give out that Aventus citrus/bergamont off the top but to my nose I didn't get the moss or sweet woods coming through very much but thats more of a comparison against older Aventus batches tbf,
and like you say its performance isn't the best but it is defo pleasant 👌
I agree totally about explorer though, I just don't get the hype and I'd take any Club De Nuit over it 👍

I know Aventus has many fans and all, but I smelled it at the store and I'll rather just buy some lemon essential oil and rub it on lol. It leaves a nice smell after but you have to sniff it to smell anything, and in the end I find it incredibly overrated
If your talking about the current Aventus batches that are from the last few years then I agree, it's a pale shadow of its former self.
If you took a whiff of anything from 2018 or before then it's a whole different fragrence mate 👌

Yes it's Cedrat Boise. I would suggest going for a pre 2020 bottle if you can find one, if not splash the extra on the intense version which I recently picked up, it's fire 🔥 😊

For me not only intense does not look like aventus or hacivat. Idk, i just didnt like it, 90% i smell is that black currant smoke/cigarete smell unfortunately

Sadly I hate the smell of Creed I’ve got a 2015 batch and 2020 both gifts but Bleu De Chanel knocks Creed into a cocked hat.
Everyone's nose is different mate, bleu de chanel is wonderful stuff and if it's your fave then that's great 👍
