I'm having trouble identifying a musical instrument I bought used recently .
It is flat on the bottom and top ; oval shaped and the body is about two and a half feet long ... it has four strings and not much of a neck , just the keys to turn the strings and it turns at the top like a place where you could hold it I guess ... ?... and the bottom of it is flat so I'm wondering now if it's meant to have a bow drawn across while it stands on the floor ... but I can't find the name of it .
Can anyone help me identify WHAT it is called .. ?
