I think it’s a work of genius because a) it’s him saying hello to the fans and the stage (which is the I Am Singer stage where he competed in 2017 he has come back in 2018 as a guest performer on the finale) that made him a star. He truly cherishes his Chinese fans because they embraced him from the first performance and never let go. So, he’s literally saying hello to them. But, I truly believe that the subtext of this song is the ‘east saying hello to the west, and the west saying hello to the east’ and Dimash is an interpreter in the middle showing us how exquisitely beautiful things could be if we all came together as one in our world. My last point…this is the fastest I’ve ever seen him break character after any of his performances, and I believe that to be because these two messages so fundamentally explain who Dimash is as a human being. He believes these things to his core of his being, and lives it in his every day life. So, it was really easy for him to leave that character, because it wasn’t really a character, so much as it was just…him. I love your videos. Thank You! A Canadian Dear 🦌🇨🇦💜🇰🇿
The way he sing it goes from longing to desperation to frustration and finally to surrender. For Dimash, even a simple song like Hello can be turned into a full journey. That’s his magic.
There are some things that only Dimash can do and they make him the GOAT. ❤️

Of course because of Dimash, Dimashified it so much.
I think that musically what sets Dimash apart from others, beyond his range, is the fact that he isn’t performing a bunch of mainstream songs that everyone already knows, he is making songs that might have been known by a few, quite famous, ex. SOS, Sinful Passion, who knew these songs before? Yet now people from countries all over the world not only know these songs, but sing with him in foreign languages that we don’t even know. Then there’s the Igor Krutoy songs, whole other level, and Dimash’s original songs. He brings his culture into his music and shares it with the world. So people sing with Dimash in so many different languages, so many different “genres “, he doesn’t copy others he makes the song completely his own.

Oh, another thing (from an old Danish Dear) .. dont know if U know .. but at D's first performance in "im a singer" (SOS) the audience (who had nerver heard of him before) was told to give D a warm round of applaus when he came on stage... After SOS that, of cause, wasnt needed anymore 🤣🤣
Although I have been unable to confirm it, I saw on a UA-cam video that Lionel saw it and immediately asked him to stop singing it. Claiming the show infringed on his Copyright and he would Sue. Supposedly that is why there are no other performances. I tried researching the story on line and found no mention of the Lionel Ritchie story, but also found no other performances of the song.
I love when he adds his Eastern culture to a song. Great reaction 😎

This song is only available to be performed in competitions. There are no restrictions for Dimash and, the rumor is that he has seen it and liked Dimash's performance. Lionel doesn't want someone singing it regularly on a tour or as part of record since this is such a personal and special song among all that he has written.
It was Vita’s with Opera 2 who got upset and threatened to sue Dimash for singing this and banned him from singing it again ever though I think technically you can sing anyones song as long as you are not getting paid, which is why you can cover songs in a competition but not a concert There is a very cute funny video of a very young video of Dimash on a tv show where they got Dimash to sing Opera 2 with different comical words that he wasn’t expecting. Very funny
Lionel never did that. It was Vitas who sue the singer competition because of Opera 2.

Be honest With you Chris , when this hello song came out back in the day I had listened once or twice and I never has been listening to it again . Up until Dimash sang this Hello in 2017 I have been listening to it everyday for the last 5 year and I love every moment of it.

I grew up while this song was in the charts. It was ok at 1st but I soon got bored and it was so so over played, I was sick of hearing it but Dimash put life into that boring song and I love Dimashs version and play it most days too

După cum mi se pare mie, Lionel pune accent pe trăirea lui față de persoana iubită, de aceea lungește "I can see it..." și "I can feel it", pe când Dimash accentuează trăsăturile persoanei care îi trezesc aceste sentimente, sentimente care erup efectiv în acel "ethno run" , este absolut superb, o altă abordare care nu diminuează cu nimic farmecul interpretării lui Lionel, oameni diferiți care transmit diferit aceeași simțire, păcat că Lionel s-a simțit ofensat și i-a interzis să mai interpreteze această piesă. @@melbrod3868 truly. And sometimes it is the cover that brings attention to the original. For example, I had never listened to Vitas’ Opera 2 before I heard Dimash’s. I’ve listened to Vitas now and although I prefer Dimash’s version of Opera 2, there are other Vitas performances I do occasionally listen to and enjoy.

OK. So, first stanza: he sang “I love you” in the original English. Second stanza: “wo ai ni”, which is I love you in Chinese, as you said, for the audience. Third stanza: repeat if “wo ai ni”, followed by “myen sunye suyemen “ which is in Kazakh (Qazaq). Then, whispered: thank you very much, in Chinese.

Remember the the letter joke your friends used to say,, hey do you know who's singing that song and you would say yeah! And he would say well then let him.
I'm glad we're able to comment, after all that's why it's there right. He is one well he is the world's best performer singer artist, and a lot of subscribers are asked or we introduce in 2A person that calls themselves a reactionist. But like so many of these people they see him for the first time they are totally amazed and what he can do and believe me see an only one is only the beginning. My point is trying to figure out where he gets his uniqueness from his incredible ability to do something no one else on Earth can do that we know. And all we ask is that you watch and listen to the performance with us your audience I would say, to enjoy it all the way through without interruption with this particular artist you ruin the whole mood that he puts us in when you shut them off and you start talking talking about whatever key it is it'll never say the same it could be if it could be gay it's going to be whatever but please try to hold yourself back using your facial expressions will get you through to the end where we will be waiting to hear what you have to say and your reactions to everything that he amazes you by and you can talk all night at that point. But please stop ruining this beautiful creatures ability to entertain us we'll be there right the wise man said listen and you shall see try it like the other guy said you might like it. It's hard to subscribe to someone that just can't stop talking and has to ruin an interrupt this world's best artist in performer. Any other performer you can talk all the way through it if you want you can't you can't do that with this particular artist without ruining the whole experience for us. I understand your point, but that's the point of reactions. If you want to watch the full video all the way through without interruption, see the original video which I tag in the description. I teach and analyze right where something happens so people can see what takes place right then and there. I would most likely forget if I waited until the very end to say what happened in the first line of the song. If you want to watch a reaction video without education, then my channel isn't for you - and that's okay! No hard feelings! :) Whether it be reaction videos, tutorials and lessons, covers or originals, I'm going to teach.

I always wondered if there was something strategic in picking this song. This happened not long after it was announced that Richie was going to be a judge on Am.Idol. Maybe his management was hoping for an invite to the show. One comment I read said that Richie said that Dimash had missed the point of the song. There is a Y.Tube video of Jessie J (who won Singer 2018), waiting in the wings to go on next, watching Dimash and saying"Wow!". Since this is from Singer 2018, I should mention some other artists worth checking out, some of whom were in the backstage shots they sometimes cut to (the well lit ones). Hua Chenyu, was there - people usually start with "Nunchucks". Tengri from Inner Mongolia was there - his song "Heaven" is a study in dynamics, and there are singers doing both guttural and polyphonic throat singing in the intro. Meeting Dimash here lead to them doing a duet together ("Swan Goose"). Another highlight that year was KZ Tandingan from the Philippines, who really made Adel's "Rolling in the Deep" her own. She won Episode 5 with it, and had a number of other good performances that year.

Good reaction as always! I see that you’ve changed the format of the reaction editing. I prefered much better the old one when your image was bigger than the video you are reacting to, because the point of seeing a reactor is watching him/her reacting and not the video they are reacting to (wich we have usually seen before). But that’s just my opinion 😅

i personally prefer the reactor positioned to the side (not boxed) and not bigger than the subject of the reaction. One reactor said -- it's all about the artist and what we can learn from him/her.
