Wasn't that great! Finally a professional live recording! This is one of my favorite medleys. Fan recordings on their phones can never clearly capture the true sound. So glad Home Free did this.
I was lucky enough to be in this audience. We got to hear them do it twice so they could be sure they had the best visuals. The most electric concert atmosphere I've ever experienced.
I was there with my sister, last December in Mankato, MN where this was shot. Mankato is Adam Rupp's hometown Rob isn't to far from Adam's hometown. They had already done this, when they asked if we would like to do it again, then told us it was a music video, we just of course said YES!!!!
The sound guy (Chris?) records every show and they use that to do the sound check the next day. I sat through the sound check twice in August - and it sounds just like this. Excellent!
Thanks for doing such a great reaction to this song. I have no doubt that they do a great job with this song live in concert. So jealous that I live in Canada & hope they do this song in December when we see them at Christmas! 💃
I saw them last year when they came to Canada, and yes they did do this song. So good! I would love to see their Christmas concert, but like you, I would have to travel to the U.S. to see them.
This was an amazing show in Mankato, thier hometown. My daughter and I are in the video, we were front row. She has excited to be in the video of her favorite song
I love to see these videos. I can't wait till I can see them live...Ahhh some day. Anyway, they have a video out now of them doing a live version of "Skull and Bones" in Oslo, Norway. You can really hear all of them so clearly, and they get the crowd involved. So cool!
One thing I missed from the original recording was the extra "effects" that Adam put in, the castanets and the sound of the sea against the ship. The tempo changes from song to song so he couldn't use the looper. There are limits to what you can do live. I really hope they do this when I see them in TWO WEEKS!!! We're getting bits of the concerts they've already done but not much idea of what's in and what's out. I was surprised that this time round on their European tour they don't have anyone opening for them. I was afraid it was going to be Maggie Baugh - I'm sure she has quite a nice voice but that stupid hat drives me nuts, and so does her determination to be the life and soul of the party when it's not her party! Three years ago it was Jeffrey East, but his star has risen quite a lot since then so it probably wouldn't have been a great career move. The tour is only a few weeks so maybe the guys decided that they could do the whole show alone without too much strain.
Very awesome! Perfect as always! I saw them once, I think I was so in awe, I don’t remember a lot about it, 😂! It was not even a year ago, like a couple of months after I first discovered them. Love your reactions Chris!👍
Speaking of all things creative, you must check out their newly released and long awaited official video of their original sea shanty, Skull and Bones. Much better than watching the lyric video that Ubisoft released 6-7 months ago. The production on this video is top tier. They make very believable pirates, especially Chance. They certainly have set the bar high for future videos.
I've tried to watch what he's doing and that's what it looks like to me. He recorded the main beats and goes to the looper to switch them between songs, while he's adding in live things like the toms, waves crashing, castanets, etc.
So many ask “But can they do it live”! Well …. There they are!
Chris seen them 3 times in person, and this is truly representative of their concerts.....THEY ARE JUST THAT EXCEPTIONAL

Agreed.
Tim hinted they are working on two albums. My guess is a Christmas one and a Live one.
Do you have any additional info or guesses?
I was fortunate to be able to see them sing this live two times.....

Do you know how many fans were there? It looks like 10k or more.
@@williamspringer1172 I don't know for sure, but the Event Center publicity says concert capacity is 8400.
Chris I have had the opportunity to see Home Free in concert twice and they are this good non stop the whole time. Great reaction man
I own a few Clipper glasses.
I love low harmonies.
Great reaction just hope they release more of these professionally produced videos of their songs in live performances.
Saw them live in a hockey arena. The acoustics were fantastic. Bawled like a baby when they sang 'Winter Song '. Not a sour note all night.
Trivia: This was filmed at the show in Mankato MN Home Free Home Base crowd since 2000.

There is nobody better than Home Free. Even live. It sounds awesome. All of these guys a phenomenal!
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that Rob used his opera voice when he did his lead. The tone, projection and vibrato were to die for!! 🌠💖

Love the professional video. Kudos to fan recordings but this such better quality.
Yes, it's a Tim note!
I really think it is haha
Oh Chris, you definitely should see them live! Great reaction - thanks. 🍟
Love HF live!! Stunning
Six shows in (including a Ryman show), and I'm still looking forward to the next one. They have had me on the edge of my seat since 2015.
Yes, it’s crisp and clear and amazing. Love it!😍

I hope they do more live videos like this! Great reaction ❤
I have just seen them live in Copenhagen. And they are just as awesome as you hear them here 🥰

So are my sister and I! What a great show this was!
Too cool!😎
This is amazing. Can't believe the size of the crowd ❤️❤️❤️❤️
I was lucky enough to be able to see them sing this. Really enjoyed watching your reaction to this song.
Amazing performance when it's live.
This is so very awesome! What can you say? It is Hom Free at their best, always! Love your reaction!
Great reaction! Home Free perfection! Thank you! Have a blessed day!
This is really great. These guys are so good live. And to think that on September 27th I can see this in real life.

I can hear the constants in the background

Great 👍 reaction ♥️🤠 HF
They're freaking awesome!!
What a Great idea, this was so just so good !! Never thought about them doing this, sure hope they do more.
I was there! It was amazing!
Loved your reaction! Excellent video & superb sound!
Love This ❤, Thank you for Reacting
Is Adam using the looper just for the constant drum beat? And then he goes back to up the tempo as they go through the medley?

@@leslieoneal4464Great. Thanks for replying. I think so too.
How many thousand fans???
