Thanks for sharing this video. I knew I always had this problem but not sure how to fix it. Also the tracking across the finger holes confirms it.😅 Please have more 2 handed clinic videos!
Super useful tips, I’ve known that I’ve been coming around the top of the ball for a while now but didn’t know why. Definitely gonna give it a try!
not a 2 hander but have to comment that Chris did a clinic with Darren in Toronto recently and was excellent in easy chatting a concise easy advise to all stages of bowler and made everyone feel personally attended too, I highly recommend if he is in your area take part just a good human being, and great pro shop advice as well as lane advice. Kudos to you sir!
woah this helped so much. i always had track lines close to my finger holes with no flair… i will try this when i bowl again! great video as usual 😊
Such great content ! Thank you ! I’ve been struggling with my oil track being over my finger holes. This helps a lot
This is one of the things I have been working on lately. I try to think of it more as keeping my head and chest up
Chris is an excellent teacher. Had the opportunity to have a clinic with Chris at Kegel and he is awesome to work with!
Thank you for this video. Mikey’s “bad form” looks like a cleaner version of my form. Time to get to work
Glad i watched this video. I just recently transitioned to two hand and i definitely know my shoulder rolls forward and then my shot goes to downhill from there. And after watching this, i realize that, yes my upper body does go down too much. Im gona practice this . Thank you for the great tutorial 🤙
I’m definitely going to try this today, played the other day and was trying different thingns to get my track to not go 2-3 into my fingers. Mahalos guys! 🤙🏽
I’m a new Junior Coach, over 1 year. The kids are so reluctant to use their legs and bending knees.
question. im 6’3 relatively skinny and have 15lb balls. its hard for me to speed up while maintaining balance or use more than 3 steps, any tips?
Great stuff! Definitely more applicable to 2 handers but an issue I have as a 1 hander. Gotta work on this!
I started bowling 2 handed about 6 months ago, and indeed I role over my finger holes. My PSO already mentioned when testing a ball that my shoulder comes forward. I did not know why this happend, but as you said it is my posture!
Thanks guys!
Love the videos, so much good info
Oooohhhh this makes so much sense
very valuable tip
Good video. I am constantly rolling over finger holes, at least it’s consistent. But I really want to get my track off of that. I haven’t found a good explanation or resolution to this yet.
Wow I was just saying the other day, I’m tracking over my middle finger and was wondering why I was, this makes sense now!
Tang! Mike’s transforming into Belmo via Chris. 😂
Thank you two for sharing this. Please do share more! I bought Mark Bakers 2 handed videos and have been working on this specifically. But it's really good to hear it repeated and in different ways. The "board" tied to your back concept really helps solidify the concept.
Any idea what shoes the student is wearing? They look clean!
Hey Chris, just curious what are your finger pitches??
Middle Finger is 11/16 Reverse and 1/2 Lateral. Ring Finger is 3/4 Reverse and 3/8 Lateral
Could u guys do video on timing. I've been bowling for almost 1.5 years now, and I think I've got pretty good timing when I throw my normal speed or slower. But when I try to speed up my legs, I sometimes use my shoulder to release the ball. How do you get better timing whenever you're trying to change the speed of your approach. Also, love the videos. Thx
Ok to preface this, I've been on a 243 average for the past 3 years. 2 weeks ago, I finished 4th at a regional after telling myself I'd quit if I didnt perform well.
I have not been able to get my angles super steep because of my spine tilt so I've continuously relied on ball speed to get into those super deep parts of the lane and just barely bounce right of the pocket.
This spine tilt is actually something I began to develop at Wichita State when attempting to loft and keep power on the ball.
Now, my angle into the lane is actually wonderful and not steep whatsoever, but forcing the ball right and using asym pearl equipment just wont work.
Im extremely proficient on patterns 37' and under unless of course they're actually flat instead of 2:1 but forcing everybody right. I feel no need to change tilt or at least rotation and speed in this part of the lane.
That being said, on longer patterns (which i performed really well on during the regional) a change in tilt would help, but would you guys continue to keep my A-game in the bag, or completely change my approach to staying upright at all points and dealing with a decrease in ball speed when time comes for those shorter events?
YES, BUT.... Robarge and Simo have a much greater spine tilt. Other Pros rise up at the line. As a new 2-hander, I'm confused. Are they exceptions to what is best?
Hi sir watching from Philippines and i hope that you can help me to improve my bowling specially throwing ball properly
Interesting, my body gets pretty far with the spine tilt but there is no upward popping out of it once I release. I also track away from the finger holes. Is that okay? It’s what feels comfortable for me and I have seen some other 2 handers doing well like that namely Zach Wilkins and Ryan Barnes.
Hand position at the foul Line? I'm 71 and still trying to correct issues in two hand bowling thx
I went from 1 hand no thumb to 2 handed and I track over my fingers. I'm 6'-4" so I bet I'm tilting my spine down to get my hand closer to the ground at release. I will have to video myself to see if that is the case.
More 2handed tip videos please! Great video by the way
Is there something specific that causes the over tilt of the spine usually? Or is it different for different people
I don't know about others, but I feel trying to emulate pros exactly can lead to me over tilting forward unnaturally. Take Simo vs Belmo. Super diff tilts
Could vary from player to player. Could be as simple as too heavy of a bowling ball or something like not using your legs and relying on your upper body to create the speed.
My issue has been throwing a ball out right and it gutters. It just won’t hook back.
I’m 2 handed and used a stronger asymmetrical.
I’m thinking something pearl maybe a trend 2, zen, etc.
What do you recommend?
The lane is usually burn
95% sure that's not a ball issue, would keep going at it and making sure you're hitting the correct target on the lane.
Yes your launch angles are way too steep. This could be from your approach or targeting. Hard to tell

Chris is that teacher we all love, but he’s a lil dry. Please say “bueller, bueller, Cameron “ Solid vid
What 3G shoes is Chris wearing ?
they are just regular 3gs with the 3g painted im guessing but a better question is what one is mikey wearing cause those look like a boa version
@@KYLEQBALL i think Mikey is wearing the Roto Grip Racers. The 3G Racers and Roto Grip Racers are nearly identical, but they have different lacing systems
@@aeoip32 hmm weird never heard of them. Are they like an overseas release or something?
@@KYLEQBALL I'm not sure. im able to find it online though. I think the black colored ones look awesome. They're like 3G racers but with the BOA system, and they're priced similarly too.
Damn, this is exactly what my problem is. I'm tracking over the finger holes. But I don't understand, how do I hook the ball if I don't rotate my hand(
you do rotate your hand you just dont come over the ball. imagine your chest staying in line with your target. Your chest should not be parallel with the floor during your approach. Your spine staying up right keep your hand behind the ball and helping your rev rate stay consistent.
@@Filipesun I’ll try, thanks!
boa verison of the 3g racers? @tvbowlingsupply
