So much so that I thought this was gonna be a joke video “nobody plays her cause she doesn’t have reruns” and it’s just 15 minutes of black screen after that
@Plutonium back in the day she was on par with hu tao with having the highest nukes and even broke some damage records to the point hoyoverse had to change the damage cap to prevent the game from crashing
Personally, despite the fact that phys type is hindering her I like the way it feels to play. She doesn't use reactions for damage, she doesn't have mastery over her element, she doesn't need dedicated support to do her stuff. Her kit is just sheer brute power. In the world of all elemental wielding people and monsters Eula is a girl who is just strong physically
Hence the reason, why I love her. Imagine in the end game of Genshin there's a boss you need to kill in 1 burst within 15 seconds, all hope is lost, until 1 girl which is forgotten for years, run through everyone, without looking back, ready to sacrifice herself for the greater good, despite how everyone disregard her existence. That is Eula for me, just a pure cinnamon Brute, waiting for her turn to shine once again.
is it bad that I want her because I'm sick of not having a claymore on my team and having to pass up all the mining nodes since I either have to whack at them for 10 years or take to time to switch my characters all the time.
@@Kriss_941 Actually, due to her animations, she's not the best rock wacker. She often misses. That said, she's still an amazing burst type dps. She's still my hardest hitting unit for Abyss runs alongside Raiden, so I run them together with Zhongli and a healer (she's kinda squishy and I'm not the greatest at dodging). Together with Raiden, I almost have a guaranteed 1 mill burst rotation as long as I don't mess up and everyone crits. Given the amount of HP mobs now have in the Abyss, she's still worth bringing. Plus, I know this may sound anal, but it is very satisfying to see really large crit numbers on the screen and she's almost guaranteed to deliver every time. I suppose she kinda grew on me over the years and so she still holds a soft spot in my heart. Oh also, she's the only character I own who can 1-shot Masanori in his second cycle... makes my day every time.
@@Ohimeshinso ain't that the truth. Mihoyo very rarely does big gameplay balance patches. Only thing I can remember is hydro resonance giving more HP instead of healing boost.
since geo is in similar position I feel like they should make some sort of special combination benefit of using physical and geo characters in same team.
@@matrixfull I was hoping in 50 years when Snezhnaya comes they will add more reactions But Liyue came out as the game released and geo still sucks lmao
@@tonydai782there's plenty of things they could do to make it work. Phys def shred, make a nilou-esque character that could buff superconduct, effects that proc when skills/bursts do phys damage, etc. They can set any parameters they want, they just dont.
There was a time where me raiden and two other dps were fighting azdaha , everyone was doing great reactions dmg, but there was also a white dmg doing like 30k per hit , so we check if we had benett or buffer , we had none ,It was just that Eula was single handedly out dpsing all of us without any support or burst , then the effing 700k nuke came out of nowhere to end azdahas life, so yeah Eula is forgotten but that doesnt mean shes weak now
I love my Eula, but funny enough I have stopped using her for an unrelated reason to everything you said: the abyss keeps having enemies that specifically resist physical by over 50%. It's like they don't even want you to use her if you already have her and a team for her.
@@svenwalter4293yeah, even with her physical shred, the bosses and most new enemies still have some physical resistance, so unless you’re running Eula, Shogun, and Zhongli, you’ll be trying to break her claymore against a steel wall. She still does big damage, but you definitely notice the wall you’re hitting.
I keep seeing comments like this. That is wrong. The only enemies with high amounts of phys resistance are the Ruin-type machines (not the desert machines like ASIMON). Other than that there are a variety of new enemies with different highers resitances. The consecrated beasts for example have 10% normally to everything, and then when buffed they have 70% resist against their element, and 40% against the rest; no physical beast, so none have more than 40% against physical. The new Hilichurl rogues have 10% everything like a regular Hiluchurl, except for their element, to which they have 50% resist; again, no physical hilichurl rogue, so they all have 10% physical resist. What other new enemies we got? How about the desert elites, who are all human, so they have -20% physical resist and 10% everything else, then when enhance by their beasts they have 60% resistance to everything, except to physical which they have only 30%. In the current Abyss the first half has a bunch of ruin machines, but the 2nd half has a bunch of human enemies.
Eula is like an end-game character. She's strong that she doesn't need any elemental damage which almost every character (unreleased or released) relies on and for that reason, mihoyo could lose a lot of potential profits from the upcoming character. They purposely hold her banner because Mihoyo is promoting revolutionary team comps unlike eula she just need a healer and electro.
It feels like they try to make her gameplay lore accurate cuz she always has been and will always be on her own. She received a lot of hate even before her banner was released and now she’s becoming irrelevant 😢
As a Eula main myself, it’s a shame that it has been almost 2 years (and in counting) to not see her rerun. With more regions unlocked and more bigger, bulkier and tanky monstrosities created along with it, that’s even more opponents being resistant to the the one form of damage dealing that is just becoming obsolete at this point in my opinion.
I don't quite find that true. She is good against those bulky monsters, my Eula's record dmg on starsilver c0 is 840k dmg, and there aren't many c0 4 star weapon main dps characters that can keep up with those. I would say it is other benefactors
Bulky and Tanky should be fine for Eula, the problem she and cyno suffer is waves of enemies. The nuke are just pointless when the average hp of every enemy is around 100k
@@evergreen7260true there aren't really any 4 star weapon characters that can do that but given how hoyo has built in multi phase fights and invulnerability phases into the bosses and abyss bosses it's better to have a character that functions well in a burst quickswop like raiden. Also these days hyperbloom is king for newer players because of the high damage floor vs the hyperinvestment in traditional dps. I know people saving for raiden just to put her in hyperbloomand they aren't noobs they are just tired of having to keep building new characters looking for perfect artifacts
Honestly, they easily could make her viable with a few adjustments via reaction changes or a new support. Shatter could get some physical damage based bonus. Also, they can easily create a status adopted from Star Rail: bleed, a dot status. It could stack like Darius or something, or do more damage when hit with physical attacks, which would work well with Eula's backloaded damage. Would also be more useful as we (_very_ likely) transition into a survival endurance tank meta with Fontaine.
They abandoned physical all together too. That's a reason why it became difficult to play her when EVERY enemy release to this day (AND ESPECIALLY RUIN GUARDS) have physical resistance. It's rare to have enemies with elemental resistance. That and the fact that if she doesn't rerun until December it would have been 2 years without reruns. Let's be real hoyo messed up royally on both accounts and personally that's sad to see
All enemies have elemental resistance, most of the time they will have more elemental resistance than physical resistance. Eula just struggles against bosses with multiple phases. At this point I wouldn't even recommend eula to a new player since hyperbloom is better through early and mid game
@@justacat5069 I've heard that is supposedly confirmed for 3.8 but that's kind of bad since the next batch is 4.0 fontaine and there's a 5 star Pyro bow user that works like ganyu also in it with a dedicated charged attack buffer

@@vanilla9886 I would need more context to give you a proper reply sir otherwise I would assume you are f2p and think Bennet xiangling is the best team in the world
Feels like Hoyoverse is trying to move on from physical damage by indirectly phasing out or making Eula an obscure unit given that physical probably wasn't meant to be a regular element and instead is somewhat of a control element given the lack of benefits of EM and reactions (which was a sentiment raised in a previous video on physical after all). Now it has somewhat of a lesser degree same vibes as how Bennett shouldn't have been made as overpowered given the standard he set for Pyro units. Hoyoverse basically shot themselves in the foot (again). In hindsight Hoyoverse probably shouldn't have made physical a thing in the first place if the game is meant to revolve around the 7 elements that exempts physical. I don't think it's coincidence that it's been a long time since her rerun plus there's not as many actual physical dps units or supports, Genshin probably made a mistake by releasing Eula as physical and now they're stuck with having to juggle a lone physical dps unit in a game where elements are supposed to be the key. And here's them trying to cover up their little oopsie by making a character hard to get thereby drawing attention away from her (which you could argue said action drew more attention to her). And yes as mentioned the focus now is less on how much damage one unit can do and is now on how much a team can do. At this point they might as well just move her to a new standard banner should they wish to make a new one once the roster becomes too big. Other than that I might as well just hop over to HSR to see physical being a thing in the game from the start.
@@short-lived9671 Doesn't really match the game despite that though since the powers that characters get now come from visions. From the start Khanreiah was meant to be an exception to the idea of a nation needing a god because the notion is that elemental powers come from visions which come from the archons. And that nation doesn't have one, the physical damage their machines deal is largely artificial or manmade. That contradicts how current elemental damage technically comes from objects given by the gods.
I tgink physical was a good idea, it's just that geo is the problem. Geo is LESS elemental than physical teams are. If geo had reactions, physical could be the "reactionless team"
Your initial assessment would have a certain merit if they hadn't released Mika like one patch ago who is very clearly meant to buff physical. Rather I feel like they are trying to figure out what to do with physical and then bring Eula/Rosaria/Mika back. And I'm not coping here, I don't even want Eula.
I rejoined genshin after a long time of hiatus right around Eula’s first (and only) rerun, and I got her as my first 5 star after the traveler and have used her this entire time. At this point I feel lucky to have her at all
How is she the most disastrous? Lol. The eula in the video is kinda bad... Mine will slap 30k on hits while the one on the video was doing like 12k...... I don't get why everyone is on the "eula is bad" train.
At this point in time, whenever she gets a rerun, you know that people will definitely save for her, I can guarantee it, even she is kinda power creeped yet she is still quite powerful, I honestly find her character kinda cute, the whole "Vengeance will be mine" always gives me the flattery, that aside it's sad to see Hoyo kinda go off the rail on her, it's quite sad.
Physical has so much potential to be good...i consider physical as a sub archetypes of cryo more than it's own separate element so buffing the cryo reactions like shatter and superconduct and making the phy dmg scale with em can change a lot + add a cryo and dendro reaction which buffs physical dmg in a way and then suddenly there come a lot of physical team comps
It does scale with EM but it's the lowest base damage reaction in the game, so even EM wouldn't help. Superconduct should really do more in general because as far as reactions go, the only thing it does is -40% phys res since the damage literally tickles.
Eula's also hurt by giving her the worst possible weapon for her gameplay style Claymores have slow auto attacks with higher numbers, but Eula wants to build up stacks by attacking so she'd benefit more from a faster weapon, and claymores attacks all have the "blunt" attribute which triggers shatter on frozen enemies, which removes her ability to work in freeze. Can you even IMAGINE how much better Eula would be if she could equip blizzard strayer and solve her crit issues? Honestly, at this point shattered should flat out be removed from the game in its current form. It's bar none the worst reaction in the game by an enormous margin. Even crystalize's effect is technically positive, if minuscule to the point of irrelevance. Shattered is actively detrimental, and a top reason why claymores and geo are the current worst performing weapon type and element at the moment. Edit: Lol I paused the video and wrote this comment almost immediately before you said it yourself
I started playing genshin right after Eula’s last banner started. Since then, I have graduated high school, moved 3 times, gotten a new job, ended 3 Minecraft series on my channel, and finished my first year of college. And still no Eula banner.
She’s most comparable to Itto both being hypercarries that ignore most reaction stuff. The difference is that Itto has amazing supports in Gorou and Albedo. Despite being 1-dimensional Itto teams are actually good because of how synergistic the team is, everyone benefiting from geo resonance and gorou def/geo dmg buffs. Eula teams schtick is how much phys shred she gets: 40 from superconduct, up to 25 from her skill, 20 from Zhong/Rosaria, and 15 from Shenhe. A standard Eula team like Eula/Rosaria/Raiden/Zhongli can shred upwards of 105 phys res and yet Eula is the only that takes advantage of it. Synergy is what makes a team good, not a specific damage type. So what she needs more than anything rn is not a direct rework, but a physical Albedo that can take advantage of phys buffs/shred and take the load off Eula being the sole carry of her teams.

Former eula main. I love her play styles so much. She showed me what it's like to have good damage. So many things become resistant to physical, or there are just too many waves of enemies. Become a hassle to use her.
As an ex-Eula main I've wanted a buff to her that didn't just make her burst hit for more. A physical sub-dps that throws swords at things when the team driver attacks would be super cool for example. Especially if they also took advantage of the weapons that trigger additional hits of phys damage when they attack (like aquila favonia etc), since those weapons are generally not amazing.
Right!! And if they wanted to make it to where mika could buff both, maybe this new off field dps could reset cooldowns in order to get the mika buff on both Eula and the new character. This would be awesome by Hoyo doesn’t really care about physical :(
we already have a physical subDPS and i dont think you would exchange a 26k physical damage every 2s + big healings and hydro application for Just physical bops... i mean... thats the reason why Albedo isnt popular too
@@linmayo790 Who does physical sub-dps? And I would absolutely take a character that spaced out some decent off field damage over making that thing she one-shots get one shotted a bit harder. We have Shinobu and Bennett as good healers for her already, but no physical Xiangling/Yelan/Yao Miko to smooth her team damage out.
well you can play her elemental style with chong or c6 benni the burst doesn’t do insane dmg but her on hit dmg becomes ridiculous because her normal hits are the most op in the game and the elemental skill can easy hit 200k and the initial burst hit does also 200k with melt bs i always play eula and i have always had a way to get max stars in abyss
That's what kept me using her and upgrading her. Fun to play, but also easy to build for (a healer and electro support and she's good to go). Got C0 Eula and her weapon, and she's still my strongest char somehow. Granted I only have chars from before Sumeru and no Dendro except the free one so far since I came back recently. But I still hit almost 200k ults without even having Bennett. And have great AAs that kill almost anything anyway. Honestly didn't have much trouble even in the abyss. Using a team consisting of her, Shogun, Diona and lvl 20 Mona mostly for moving around, and it kills everything. I'm just missing a 2nd team that's as strong for the abyss, but my 2nd most powerful char is Ningguang and she's not nearly as powerful... I still can complete everything except the last floor.
I think "most unfortunate character" in the game is still Dehya, mihoyo really did her dirty. For Eula, i just pair her with Kuki and Yae for easy physical resist strip. At the end of the day just play with what make you happy. Keep talking about physical damage disadvantage when we know mihoyo (probably) will do nothing about it, is not good. By the way, I don't hate Dehya at all. I have her at lvl max, fully build 10/10/10 for her skill (yes I'm crazy for maxing all her skill, don't ask why). Got her signature weapon as well. Trying to get her at c1 but get spooked by Jean at 50/50. 10/10 amazing experience
dehya is one of hoyo's biggest sin as she wont ever be flourished as mhy intended. eula on the other hand already has her own great stronghold in physical department. she still has room for her effloresce.
It also doesn't help that newer enemies and bosses somehow have physical resistance. It's almost like mihoyo is shadowbanning physical from the game.....
@@neoe5970 ...No they haven't? If you're talking about the Teyvat Prelude for Ayaka, that doesn't count, and for Scara, you'd have a better chance at comparing with Dottore mains or Signora mains if you wanted to talk about waiting time. Sorry but that's THE longest time between reruns in the game, and that's just not even close.
@Neo E there's a pretty big difference between, "this character isn't playable yet but they are more or less guaranteed to be in the future" and "this is the longest a character has ever gone without a rerun and we have zero idea if/when they'll get another banner". Granted, now we're fairly confident in a 3.8 rerun but for months now, we just didn't know if we'd ever see her again. And you could say that "of course she'd get a rerun eventually" but we're getting to a point where Hoyo needs to change the gacha system to adapt to the growing pool of characters, and we don't really know how less popular 5* like Eula fit into their plan.
As a Eula main, I can verify everything in this video. It really is sad how Hoyo treats Eula, mistreating and isolating her like in her lore. It's gotten so bad, even the VA joked about her not getting a rerun. I can definitely say, every update is pure copium for us and we try to make anything work. Using Raiden Shogun for her skill and energy generation, using Yelan for her dmg amplifier in burst, using Kuki and Nahida for Eula hyperbloom. Literally anything to just have a reason to continue using her. We already have to make up in shortcomings through skill/positioning, but it's ridiculous at this point. With Star Rail, I did genuinely stop playing Genshin for a while just because it wasn't enjoyable for me, but this video just makes me miss playing Eula. I would use her in every abyss cycle no matter what and 36*. I'd use her in overworld and every event. I got Dehya's weapon for her. I would pull for every amount of indirect support for her because I can't even pull for her constellations. Now I'm over here with a C2 Raiden with her sw, c6 Rosaria with Cyno's weapon, Nahida with her sw, etc. But Eula is still just there. Forever c0, not even her own weapon. (To be fair, I love Beacon) I also hard main Dehya and use her whenever possible, but it's really hard for me to choose over which one is more poorly treated by Hoyo.
"I also hard main Dehya and use her whenever possible, but it's really hard for me to choose over which one is more poorly treated by Hoyo." My argument is Dehya for one simple reason: Dehya is far more constellation-dependent than Eula. The only "must-have" constellation for Eula is C2 and that's only if you want to make full use of the 4pc bonus from the Pale Flame set. Dehya, on the other hand, feels incomplete without her constellations.
@@SageRuffin I tend to not be as hard on Dehya as others. I find that I can more easily slide Dehya into a team than Eula. Dehya has more versatility, while Eula is purely on field dps. If I'm running Eula, I'm forcing a team, but if I run Dehya, I'm just forcing her onto a team.
eula was my first ever limited 5* all the way back in 1.5, and back then she was pretty good and a lot of people were using her! but now nobody can even get her because she hasn’t gotten her rerun since 2.3, and by extension she’s being used significantly less to my knowledge :( i’m hoping eula’s doing a bit better now that mika’s here, with his attack speed buffs and that stuff not rlly sure how to word my thoughts on eula, mainly just hoping that she’ll get her rerun in 3.8 or 4.0 or 4.1 or they just never rerun her again who knows edit: took me a bit to find, but example of what i meant for the first part ua-cam.com/video/7YseiLl-8sM/v-deo.html

LIke hitting a target with Pyro with physical causes a scarring or electro+physical increases attack speed
I'm an Eula main and love her BECAUSE she is phys dmg. I find it fun to walk up to an enemy without the need to switch characters and just bonk them in the head. I love dealing 1m dmg on a boss that doesn't even have enough hp to tank that. If they EVER changed her kit to deal "cryo dmg" like suggested in this video, I honestly would just quit genshin altogether for neglecting and ruining my favorite character.
I think Eula’s biggest issue is not that she’s physical, it’s how she deals her damage - half of it is a nuke that ISN’T frontloaded. Which means it’s ridiculously easy for quite a lot of your dps just disappear - because enemies moved, died or on the verge of dying so this big pp damage is wasted. Also, release of dendro did provide a major “buff” for Eula - a team that synergises fairly well with her kit while not relying almost purely on her damage like her standard teams. Hyperbloom. Eula is a good driver for hyperbloom and, since hyperbloom has electro unit, there is superconduct going to somewhat buff Eula’s damage
If enemies moved out of the way of her burst you didn't understand how to play Eula. You're supposed to switch to another character which immediately detonates her burst. (Also a lot of Crit fishing for the quick abyss clears :P)
@@Silent_Depths in most cases its dps loss and you have like 2s delay before you hit...you can literally swap and cast any skill in the game before it hits

You don't have to make her cryo DPS... Just make it so supperconduct increases freeze and shatter. Allow bosses to be frozen and shattered in such a way that they take damage but not freeze. It allows for that reaction chain for physical DPS and still emphasised genshin as a reaction game
Eula has been my main dps since the first day of her first banner and I still only have her at c0. While I do have a specialized elemental team I use occasionally, the team I have for Eula with Shogun for superconduct, Albedo for sub dps and Zhongli for shields and geo resonance allows me to walk through all challenges with little effort. While I do feel that physical dps teams are lacking and heavily overshadowed but just about every other team, my Eula team still remains my favourite
I always, always defaulted back to Eula's team whenever I didn't want to think how to beat some challenge or just wanted to advance quickly. :D Good luck if you're wishing for her constellations if her rerun actually happens. I know I will install Genshin again just for that special event. In past I was super lucky to get her on her debut and then c2 from rerun all together with only 150 wishes. I don't know how many primos I can collect but my entire Sumeru is at 0% exploration and I haven't done a single quest since Enkanomiya so hopefully that's guaranteed c4.
I don't know why Eula is called the most tragic 5 star character when Albedo literally exists and is overthrown by a new 5 star character in his own job.
As someone who had Eula from December 2021 and used her until I was AR55, I knew she was going to end up in this position While Eula was still a fairly popular character (around 2.x), I had a lot of people telling me that Genshin isn’t always an elemental reaction based game and how Eula and Xiao were OP. Fast forward to dendro, her usage dropped but she was still doing decent. The minute Nahida dropped, everyone focused on dendro reactions, hypercarries got no love. Hoyo wanted to bring attention back to the hypercarries, so they made a dedicated abyss floor for the geo bros in 3.3 + they released an anemo buffer for Xiao. At least itto and xiao can approach Hu Tao levels with their buffers What happened with Eula? Not a damn thing. She didn’t get rated up in 3.5 (to this day i still dont know why), and she gets a handicapped dedicated support. Mika is so bad that even C0 Faruzan is a better option over him Eula only has two more options: 1) a physical off-fielder that actually provides real buffs 2) they rework shatter 4.x will literally make or break her. It’d be sad to see her age like Diluc (its slowly happening already)
even worse is that she ages worse than diluc, diluc at least have option to play effectivly with double hydro, or in hybrid burgeon-vape team, on gcsim his single target dps teams, are better than best eula team could ever be (outside of meme team where you never swap to eula and it's her best team). From day when i saw eula's kit, i said that mhy killed her, by giving her physical, i pulled for her cuz i like her, i min-max her to the brim (75\170 with wgs 4p pale flame, and with 90% crit rate c6 rosaria, so effectivly 100% crit rate on eula) i even got c2 raiden, and she still feels worse as a carry (or rather as team core) than even carry lisa or freez carry kaya with chongyun. I even tried to play her as a cryo unit in mono cryo with shenhe chongyun, and.... she clears almost same as in her best phys team. Thats just tragic.
Eh, Diluc hasn't aged that badly. He's not the strongest, but he's very easy to play and his damage is very consistent. Fantastic for early-game, but will be overshadowed once you start getting limited 5-stars. Which is about the best you can expect from a Standard 5-star
The rest aside I just wanted to reply on this: "...Genshin isn’t always an elemental reaction based game and how Eula and Xiao were OP." - Well, funny you mention that since I cleared the abyss 36* every single rotation with my hyper carries Eula (c0 to c2 since her last banner) and Xiao c0 (since his debut.) Having teams built around them was always a brain dead strategy I didn't need to think much about. I haven't played the game in a while, about two months and some of the recent F12's in the abyss have looked like pain so I don't know if I could do it anymore. Regardless, whenever Eula gets her rerun I'll install Genshin again and should get her to c4 or more with some moderate luck. There was never need to wish for anyone else but Xiao, Zhongli, Raiden and Eula.
I love playing Eula. She’s honestly so fun and easy to play and already strong alone on the field- building her isn’t very hard too. Even average artifacts can already make her deal 10k+ every N/A.
I’ve dusted off my Eula for the last 2 patches. Something about using brute force to break down Tanky enemies makes me fee good. I’m waiting on Miko this week to finally add her to my Raiden team… but I’ll always use Eula; she’s one of my few heavily invested characters because of just how hard she can hit
@@OrigamiShinigami Sadly, because of hitlag mechanic, she only gets 1 bonus stack for her burst. Nor more or less. Oh and also his buffs are only for active character. So don't even dare to switch Eula to quickly detonate burst agains some slippery enemies, or else say goodbye to Mika's phys buffs.
Atk Speed DOES help, but only if you stack it with other buffs i.e SoBP so she gets 1 to 2 stacks more at C0. From the look of things, her burst doesn't need to get stronger than it is but her normals do get a substantial increase from him, so swapping her out early when you need to isn't that much of a big deal.
The most important thing that prevents Eula from being played is the fact that her damage is around physicial and she doesn't gain or contribute elemental reaction much. That's limit the ceiling and the alternative options.

I guess I'm a Eula main, she was the first 5 star I got after Diluc and it took a long time to get her built properly but through my time building Eula I more or less finally learned just how to make different teams work in the game and once I got her built she's remained my go to character/team to just mindlessly clear content quickly with little effort (being physical means almost nothing but shields or physical immune bounties really stop her). She's easy to use and when properly built up she hits like a bus without anyone's help, I love Eula...and she looks fantastic too...But I have to admit now that I have almost every character in the game mostly built at level 70/80, she is not really holding up to other team comps. But her team is my most invested team and to this day still one of the better teams I have and I don't see sidelining her other than the challenge I sometimes get using a less optimal team comp, can't deny though her one 600k hit every so often just isn't really enough given how much crap can shield or teleport/jump now.
I get Eula's flaws but she was my first and only c6 limited 5* so she will forever have a special place for me. I like that she can consistently hit 1 million+ damage.
14:02 I like how throughout the whole thing you barely spoke of Mika as if he didn't change anything for physical gameplay. Wait.. he actually didn't 💀
He only greatly buffs her normals and gives her 1 to 2 stacks in the right conditions, it isn't as game-changing for her because she already has so much damage but considering that his buffs only work for a damage type that isn't used that often, of course he's not gonna change much.
former Eula main here(currently focusing on Nahida). I loved her kit the moment I played with her on her story. I dedicated ungodly amounts of time and money building her, and I actually don't regret it, but it IS painful to see her being so neglected by Hyv. She could be the best there is, but Hyv doesn't want to
I was thinking maybe they can create a character that has a special shatter effect to make Physical abit relevant again like how Nilou creates bountiful cores instead of regular ones. We will probably have quite some new hydro Characters so its great if they do that during the 4.+ versions
I used to main Eula back in the early days since she was released, but the physical type of damage hasn't been much of an ideal choice these days. I have been playing with other characters like Ganyu and Keqing. Besides, my Eula has been locked into C0 because of her lack of reruns.
The aaaaaaabsolute pain of knowing just how far Eula has fallen comparative to everyone else is *pain*, i am still going to keep building her; farming, and dedicating myself to making her the best i can... absolutely going to try going for c6 if she ever comes out of the basement. Eula is still so, soooo fun, and does so much work on my sccount, i will still always love her x3
I always use eula for triple kenki floors and even used her to beat the wenut in abyss. Yeah she doesn’t have access to elemental reactions, but her dps is still super high as long as you’re not against robot enemies.
Who knows, maybe they will buff Shatter sometime in 4.0. Like Hyperbloom, Shatter is a 3 elemental combo, with cryo, hydro and electro for the superconduct. So maybe the devs will redo Shatter to make it viable. Also I'm not a Eula main, how can I when I don't even have her. She was supposed to come out in 3.5 but I only got a taste of her in the event.
I might be coping, but with Fontaine and the potential for a lot of water-based enemies, I think shatter vulnerability or damage amplification as combat mechanics would be really cool. Would also benefit my boy Chongyun, although he's still pretty good rn as a rev. melt nuke.
Some kind of shatter buff would be cool. I think it would be interesting if shatter did more damage the more times you trigger it on a single enemy. Kind of give it the idea of breaking down an enemy bit by bit. Or if shatter like superconduct lowered enemy physical resistance or defence making them more "vulnerable". If it lowered physical resistance, shatter would deal more of its own damage. If it lowered defence, it becomes a helpful universal debuff a lot of characters would appreciate.
eula is the best damage character in the game by far and the reason why the she is Barely Used it's because other people want to experiment that's why and she's too broken so they want to try other characters and that's what i think . and she's really popular and a lot of people use her for daily clearing but yeah I see where you're coming from
And when they did give her a re-run. It was at the worst possible time for any re-run. Right before a new nation was released... Mihoyo really hates Eula.
Ever since I started the game, I’ve always loved playing Eula as my main but her issues do become more apparent as time goes on but she’s still very serviceable for me and that’s ok if the community memes on me
In regards to Mika, I got him for my Eula because at that point I was taking anything they would give me to support Eula. And on another note, Mika is the Gorou level support you mention, however, just like his hyper carry peers (ie. Gorou, Kujou Sara, Faruzan) the big boost he should provide is locked behind C6. So it sucks that we not only had to wait so long for a crumb of physical support, they had to make it extra difficult by locking the crit dmg buff behind C6. However, it could also be argued that Mika's buffs without constellations are weaker in comparison to the likes of Faruzan, Kujou, and Gorou. But thats a WHOLE other topic to get into
If she ever gets another banner I'll roll for her out of pity but that's the sad part. It should never be this way. The reason I think she exists was because mhyo was originally going to have a lot of more bosses with elemental RES or at least phases with it. However I'm thinking they realized the strength in the gameplay was in fact elemental synergy and Eula was an unfortunate leftover of that original vision.
@@warduxe agreed. I'm self aware of the oddity of it but yea I feel bad for inanimate objects and I feel bad for characters that get a bad deal. I acknowledge its silly and makes no sense but it is what it is.

Eula was released ahead of her time. Lore wise she spends a lot of time in an area north of monstadt, thats where she met and rescued yanfei. And thats ALL we know of Eula's story in the present. Her character story didnt go into detail in what it is her current mission is, but it did reveal her backstory as like a "prelude" of things to come because she wants vengeance. And we havent seen her since... I feel like mihoyo released her way back when because they needed a new charcter out and inazuma hadnt been released yet.... I'm willing to bet one day Eula will get her spotlight though
Damn, Eula hasn't had a rerun since I started playing. I remember the Eula/Albedo banner being the first one I ever saw. I don't think anyone saw this coming back in Nov '21. All in all I haven't missed her though. I do feel bad for all that have wanted her for 1½ however, I don't think there's any excuse for Hoyo not rerunning her with the release of Mika, and make him suit her a bit better.
While its would be nice for physical to get some updates, its still worth noting her strengths, and I say she is very viable still. Just depends on what you are fighting same as any unit. (1) She has her own built in physical shred, and super conduct. Thats like 70% physical shred its huge! (2) She works with some of the best supports in the game no one ever mentions for some reason. Beido, and Xingquo! Since her burst stacks off her normal attacks you get both Beido, and XQ's bursts to work on her while she normal attacks. It absolutely steam roles most things even before her sword explodes, and solves some of her cc issues. (3) Her multipliers are so big that whatever doesnt die from the na, string, plus the massive hold e explosion with usually get one shot on the burst pop. A team of Diona, Beido, XQ makes her Unstunnable, unkillable, and buffs her auto attacks to bounce electro/hydro to everything around. 90% of all enemies in the game get close to attack you, so ive never had a problem hitting her burst. "fun tip" change out Diona for Rosaria. Rosaria teleport attack actually ports you within range of enemies before Eula burst explodes, so if you have to, quick swap to rosaria, e, and Eula burst flies over and hits everything. I honestly wish they would release more characters like Eula who are complete packages, instead of require 5 other characters to make them work.
I was playing on a friends account who had eula, and while she isn't "the best" at dps, she is still quite fun to play actually lol like god damn. Her animations are so nice and once you start learning her combos, it's so satisfying.
Well I have c0 built eula and she can till date easily destroys other dpss of today. I don't understand why ppl don't play her she is easy and satisfying
I got her on her first released and have loved her amazing play style ever since! For those wishing to roll she is definitely one of the most fun units despite not having the greatest meta position
This is so interesting as someone who only recently started playing the game. I had no context for literally any of the comments players made about her, especially because of how long it's been since she's been on a banner.
Hoyo could solve this releasing a character with this special ability: - Anemo character (due to EM and element absorption idea) - Mark enemies - While marked, enemies will receive damage from the element absorbed. - Any atack, phys or elemental, will be converted into the absorbed element. Character abilities increase with EM. Done, Eula could be ANYTHING

If there were to buff superconduct, what if instead of refreshing the timer, they allowed the phys shred to be stacked up to a limit (200% as an example). If they wanted to compensate, they can reduce the phys shred of each reaction from 40% to 30%, and reduce the duration from 12 to 9-10 seconds.

@@svenwalter4293 She requires a lot more work than other hyper carries so get her for waifu reasons mainly, I say it as an ex c3 eula main
Whenever she has a rerun I am gonna get her so I can make her my main DPS or my sub DPS.
I think making shatter reevant is physical's best bet as well. maybe it'll get buffed during fontaine
If her burst stayed while switching to other characters she would be so much better
That won't make her any good 'cause bosses cannot be frozen and abyss (which is kinda the only content that matters and has a meta) is boss impact
Let's be real hoyo messed up royally on both accounts and personally that's sad to see

you mean her mediocrisy right and her design and animation are mid as hell.
There's a nation ruled by humans in Teyvat 500 years ago. I think it's meant for physical (element) people. I don't believe she's an accident.

Physical damage could be so much more viable if superconduct had even a little EM scaling
You're silly, they don't want physical to be viable have ypu not seen Vars's "The Fprgptten Element" video?
Physical has so much potential to be good...i consider physical as a sub archetypes of cryo more than it's own separate element so buffing the cryo reactions like shatter and superconduct and making the phy dmg scale with em can change a lot + add a cryo and dendro reaction which buffs physical dmg in a way and then suddenly there come a lot of physical team comps
It does scale with EM but it's the lowest base damage reaction in the game, so even EM wouldn't help.
Superconduct should really do more in general because as far as reactions go, the only thing it does is -40% phys res since the damage literally tickles.
Eula's also hurt by giving her the worst possible weapon for her gameplay style
Claymores have slow auto attacks with higher numbers, but Eula wants to build up stacks by attacking so she'd benefit more from a faster weapon, and claymores attacks all have the "blunt" attribute which triggers shatter on frozen enemies, which removes her ability to work in freeze.

@@zantardisI’m pretty sure they’re talking about Kokomi with Clam set.
Eula is one of those characters that I really want to have purely because for me her kit and playstyle is very unique
Eula,Raiden, Jean and Zhongli I’m good to go 🤟🏾
I think "most unfortunate character" in the game is still Dehya, mihoyo really did her dirty.
Dehya is the biggest disappointment in Genshin history.
dehya is one of hoyo's biggest sin as she wont ever be flourished as mhy intended. eula on the other hand already has her own great stronghold in physical department. she still has room for her effloresce.
Nah Dehya in a mono pyro comp can easily outdamage Eula lol
@@Player-re9mo definitely one of the biggest disappointment in video gaming history
@@Matthew-qt3jk Not about the damage, dehya really suffer from bad kit, bad mechanics, jump that can cancel Q
It also doesn't help that newer enemies and bosses somehow have physical resistance. It's almost like mihoyo is shadowbanning physical from the game.....
I’ve wanted Eula for so so long and never gotten a chance and I’m like where’s her rerun? It’s kinda tiring saving for Eula for me
same
3.8 is when Eula rerun is coming
Scara mains and Ayaka mains have went through the same and you can too
@@neoe5970 ...No they haven't?
And you could say that "of course she'd get a rerun eventually" but we're getting to a point where Hoyo needs to change the gacha system to adapt to the growing pool of characters, and we don't really know how less popular 5* like Eula fit into their plan.
eula main here since her first banner, hard to find her replacement, her big damage, and how simple it is to achieve it...
(To be fair, I love Beacon)
I also hard main Dehya and use her whenever possible, but it's really hard for me to choose over which one is more poorly treated by Hoyo.
"I also hard main Dehya and use her whenever possible, but it's really hard for me to choose over which one is more poorly treated by Hoyo."
My argument is Dehya for one simple reason: Dehya is far more constellation-dependent than Eula.
If I'm running Eula, I'm forcing a team, but if I run Dehya, I'm just forcing her onto a team.
eula was my first ever limited 5* all the way back in 1.5, and back then she was pretty good and a lot of people were using her! but now nobody can even get her because she hasn’t gotten her rerun since 2.3, and by extension she’s being used significantly less to my knowledge :(
i’m hoping eula’s doing a bit better now that mika’s here, with his attack speed buffs and that stuff
not rlly sure how to word my thoughts on eula, mainly just hoping that she’ll get her rerun in 3.8
or 4.0
or 4.1
or they just never rerun her again who knows

@@succededhail9735 Yeah, but at least Eula is good at her role, meanwhile Dehya just soaks up damage while giving nothing in return and has poor uptime on her interruption resistance. It's better to just use any shield character instead.
@@OMGtheykilledkennyxS well that really only depends on the mechanics of the new characters for the fight and what team you using
You say shield character, but Ganyu melt is near perfect with Deyha pyro application
Dehya herself with C1 deals really good amount of damage and if you in Ganyu burst its useful
and what if there is a hydro character that uses a similar mechanic to Dehya HP loss and boosts damage of reactions, bursts etc.
Eula requires a fundamental change to the elements and physical to work together.
LIke hitting a target with Pyro with physical causes a scarring
or electro+physical increases attack speed
She has a mini nuke in her hold skill, that I use as my first choice before having to punish whatever won’t die in front of me.
@@khaliquet1skill is like what 60k when ult is 250k....ye
If enemies moved out of the way of her burst you didn't understand how to play Eula. You're supposed to switch to another character which immediately detonates her burst. (Also a lot of Crit fishing for the quick abyss clears :P)
@@Silent_Depths in most cases its dps loss and you have like 2s delay before you hit...you can literally swap and cast any skill in the game before it hits
@@Silent_Depths isn’t there still a small delay on when burst hits after swapping? So depending on the enemy and how fast it can move, it can still be a problem?
I don't know how many primos I can collect but my entire Sumeru is at 0% exploration and I haven't done a single quest since Enkanomiya so hopefully that's guaranteed c4.
seeing all these eula mains still playing her makes me wanna pick her up again tbh 😭 i'm also a day one haver
I don't know why Eula is called the most tragic 5 star character when Albedo literally exists and is overthrown by a new 5 star character in his own job.
Players who started playing in the last one year: "Who tf is Eula?"
As someone who had Eula from December 2021 and used her until I was AR55, I knew she was going to end up in this position
While Eula was still a fairly popular character (around 2.x), I had a lot of people telling me that Genshin isn’t always an elemental reaction based game and how Eula and Xiao were OP.
At least itto and xiao can approach Hu Tao levels with their buffers
What happened with Eula? Not a damn thing. She didn’t get rated up in 3.5 (to this day i still dont know why), and she gets a handicapped dedicated support. Mika is so bad that even C0 Faruzan is a better option over him
Eula only has two more options:
1) a physical off-fielder that actually provides real buffs
2) they rework shatter
4.x will literally make or break her.
Diluc has good and better supports though
Eula is doing far worse even if she herself does more dmg than him
Eh, Diluc hasn't aged that badly.
@@YayaFeiLongdiluc have ⅔ good kit and mechanics shit scaling
I love playing Eula. She’s honestly so fun and easy to play and already strong alone on the field- building her isn’t very hard too. Even average artifacts can already make her deal 10k+ every N/A.
I use Eula. She's my main DPS.
It's really Dehya who's the most tragic unit 'cause her burst cancels itself if you hit inanimate objects.
he’s not talking about that type of tragic
I’ve dusted off my Eula for the last 2 patches. Something about using brute force to break down Tanky enemies makes me fee good. I’m waiting on Miko this week to finally add her to my Raiden team… but I’ll always use Eula; she’s one of my few heavily invested characters because of just how hard she can hit
Don't forget that Mika doesn't help her at all. Atk speed is worthless for claymores. And why his buffs depends on the amount of enemies?
Is it really?
I would have figured it would be among it's most-helpful buffs
@@OrigamiShinigami Sadly, because of hitlag mechanic, she only gets 1 bonus stack for her burst. Nor more or less. Oh and also his buffs are only for active character. So don't even dare to switch Eula to quickly detonate burst agains some slippery enemies, or else say goodbye to Mika's phys buffs.
Atk Speed DOES help, but only if you stack it with other buffs i.e SoBP so she gets 1 to 2 stacks more at C0. From the look of things, her burst doesn't need to get stronger than it is but her normals do get a substantial increase from him, so swapping her out early when you need to isn't that much of a big deal.
i'm a eula mainer for already 2 years, feel bad for people who can't experience her marvellous majesty
The most important thing that prevents Eula from being played is the fact that her damage is around physicial and she doesn't gain or contribute elemental reaction much. That's limit the ceiling and the alternative options.
Then explain itto and xiao
@@Dinofrogg Anemo is only good because of the vv set, and Xiao can't benefit from it. His element is more or less useless to him, which puts him in the same boat with Itto.
@@Dinofrogg That's cool, but swirl damage is negligible, and it doesn't provide any utility for Xiao either. It says something when some of best Xiao teams only include anemo and geo units and don't cause any reactions by themselves.

@@Dinofrogg many Eula's teams include Bennett anyway. Her team usually are cryo + electro + flex, dealing with shields should be the least of her concern.
seeing Eula drinking alone while you described how nobody sees her as useful in the meta made me feel sad. hoyoverse can honestly just get creative in ways to bring physical damage back into the meta with other elemental types
What team do u run for floor 12?
I get Eula's flaws but she was my first and only c6 limited 5* so she will forever have a special place for me. I like that she can consistently hit 1 million+ damage.
14:02 I like how throughout the whole thing you barely spoke of Mika as if he didn't change anything for physical gameplay.
Wait.. he actually didn't 💀
Exactly 💀👍🏻

Eula is still so, soooo fun, and does so much work on my sccount, i will still always love her x3
Sales will be disgusting this time . Poor Eula.
One reason is because she still haven't been given a reroll.
Short answer: The grocery store doesn't have any milk
Why no one plays Eula: she hasn’t had a rerun yet
Would also benefit my boy Chongyun, although he's still pretty good rn as a rev. melt nuke.
Physical and Geo haven't had a single character for soo long, not suprised if they buff/rework. However even if they didn't i'm not suprised

But thats a WHOLE other topic to get into
Hes Just worse than sara....hey both worse than ttds
If she ever gets another banner I'll roll for her out of pity but that's the sad part. It should never be this way.
The reason I think she exists was because mhyo was originally going to have a lot of more bosses with elemental RES or at least phases with it. However I'm thinking they realized the strength in the gameplay was in fact elemental synergy and Eula was an unfortunate leftover of that original vision.

*laughing in vengeance that destroys the abyss since I got her* yeah I do play her. A lot.
You guys should try out Eula hyperbloom team. Its by far her best team. Just don't forget to not switch into her until the enemy dies
Jokes aside it is true. Eula can be used as a hyperbloom driver, but is not optimal
Vars: "Why no one plays Eula?"
My brain: More like "Who no one can GET Eula?"
I got Eula on her first rerun. She’s been my main since but I can’t feel bad for how much people crap on her
Well I have c0 built eula and she can till date easily destroys other dpss of today.
I don't understand why ppl don't play her she is easy and satisfying
(Insert "Eula is an NPC, and I wish she became playable" joke here:)
Why no one plays Eula : cuz no one has her !
I got her on her first released and have loved her amazing play style ever since! For those wishing to roll she is definitely one of the most fun units despite not having the greatest meta position
This is so interesting as someone who only recently started playing the game. I had no context for literally any of the comments players made about her, especially because of how long it's been since she's been on a banner.
hot take, her personality is pretty one sided and borderline unlikable
most people like her bacause of her design and figure
She's autistic coded and a lesbian, leave her alone.
Hoyo could solve this releasing a character with this special ability:
- Anemo character (due to EM and element absorption idea)
- Mark enemies
- While marked, enemies will receive damage from the element absorbed.
- Any atack, phys or elemental, will be converted into the absorbed element.
Character abilities increase with EM.
Done, Eula could be ANYTHING
People aren’t “hyped”about eula, they are only hyped about the amount of time since she last reran.. it’s a cycle within the community.. I guarantee those same people asking for a rerun wouldn’t pull for her when she arrives
Except people like me mean it when we say we will pull for her.
@@moesabally1502 I’m glad there’s still people like you that keep their word rather than follow the hype train 💯
@@datpurp9564Honestly I'm getting kind sick of those people's who always meme about eula & silly funny shit. I am also pulling for her as well.& once I get her. I will show her to the whole world & I would say look at her . She has been suffering in mihiyo basement for too long. And the people's that make meme about her & trolling for her rerun will be punishing by getting lock up in hoyoverse basement for all eternity. Mark my words we will have our revenges.
Man I remember waiting for Ganyu from patch 1.5 to 2.4 but this takes the cake.
It's really sad how well her current situation represents her character and the story of how other in-game characters see her
I still use Eula, in every abyss cycle or for exploration or whatever the case may be i love using her, yes I have her c6 and r5 so my Eula might be a little better than others but ill always keep using her I might be the .16 percent but I'm so glad I got her when she first came out. absolutely no regrets.
the situation for eula is similar to those dps valks in honkai impact, because if the abyss enemy rotation and buffs dont favor you, you are bound to be thrown into obscurity
I play Eula :/
i just got her on chronicle, i like how she uses the claymore, she dances with it.
@@hasse_ss she's elegant
@@hasse_ss i lost the 50/50 and ended up getting klee
