1) work smart - identify your weak areas and do lots of past papers, analyse the past papers by looking at mark scheme and the examiners report 2) do not get complacent if you have got good grades in your mocks 3) do not compare yourself to others 4) in the next couple of weeks your performance can increase. You got to have a growth mindset. Nothing is set in stone at this time.
Haha the getting As and A* grades but not revising as a double edged sword is totally me. I know I could get an A* in my maths exam but I'm a chronic procrastinator and barely revise I need to sort this out Asap! Most topics I get away with it but I'm too slow on calculus which is my big problem
Thank you for this video lewis. The main thing is to do lots of past papers and identifying what you are not so good at for example explaining some of the methods within physics and practicing what you are not good at. I agree with you that you must not be too hard on yourself. And the main thing to remember is that Lewis wants you to do well. Thank you so much for this video once again Lewis, much appreciated 😊
as much as i hate exams i’ll miss learning physics. it’s my favourite topic and i for sure know i’ll still be coming back to your channel when i’m off to university! your youtube videos have done wonders and have helped me motivate myself this year to achieve the best grade i can! :)
Thank you lewis for this advice, im in year 13 and im stressing for my physics exam, I was predicted a C and I have been fluctuating above and below in that throughout this year, im trying to apply to medicine so this video has calmed me down and kind of grounded me. thank you again for all your help and support.
thank you so much, this was super helpful!! i got a U in my end of year 12 exams and im already improving and got a B in my mock but i am not comparing myself to that grade and preparing to get an A*
To all the A2-LEVEL Candidates of CAIE all over the world, I hope y'all ace it in your Physics Exam alongside with the other Exams.. Plus, I really appreciate this video.. It gave me good amount of motivation I wanted.. My A Level Physics exam starts in just 13 Days..
Yeah, my exams are internal. Since it's only AS and they start next week. Which in not too pleased about as the actual AS exams aren't until late may and early June. Thank you for your content though, it's been imperative to my learning.
Hello sir, i don't have a question, just a quick thought I'd share. So like im giving 3 papers in May now, and the remaining 7 in November. This is because I need more time to learn since I had some personal issues, so I thought of giving exams in oct/Nov session. I'm a private candidate and so I no longer go to school. However, my friends do and all of them are giving exams in may/June. Idk why but I feel like I'm behind them, they'll finish earlier than me But I'll be late, they will also start A-Levels three months earlier than me. I should not feel like this because it brings my motivation down every day, what can I do to only focus on my life and not compare myself to my friends?
please i need help on answering the "wordy" "explain and describe" questions. these type of question carries more marks and i need help in answering these!! any tips on how to improve at answering these type of questions ??
You get a surprising amount of marks for stating definitions / equations. Also always thoroughly read the question as sometimes they try to throw you off by asking the difficult part in the first sentence then asking the easy part after that. I had a 6 mark question about the double slit experiment in physics but it started by asking about reducing uncertainties to confuse you!
@@Fyr35555 Thank you !! I'll keep that in mind, but i also i think need to practice those long answered question. I'll also try adding some keywords as well.

Any advice for longer written answers like practicals?
Maybe just write out some bullet point ideal answers for each practical you may be assessed on.

Thanks 😊
How shall I learn the content before going past papers
Hiya guys just a question regarding OCR A-Level physics; everyone thinks that Paper 1 practical skills is referring to Measuring Astronomical units??
