- This year we took a different spin on Great Race doing it more documentary style to show what the racers experience and a little more of what its like during the race and some of the things that happened in the race.
This is one of the longest offshore powerboat races in the world with boats ranging in classes from 60mph up to classes with boats doing 130mph.

Brings back memories of going down the islands except it took about three hours then lol it takes these guys about an hour to store bay monster is a MONSTER and MR SOLO will always be a crowd pleaser every one enjoys a Solo thanks Mr Charles and Mr Peake

Better than anything we have in the United States for Offshore Racing production value. We only get shot from the beach. No real B Roll, Heli shots or Multicam.

This is the best documentary of the Great Race I've seen . What I would like to see is the speed limit raised , Customs to stop being political and idiotic about foreign entrants (You know what I mean) .... Invite the likes of Bacardi and Miss Geiko ........ then we got a gala event .. What ever happened to Snack Attack..... every time I watch that race against Bacardi in the world offshore championships I get goose bumps.. ...... Joe !!! you need to bring her back and put Trinidad back on the map

What alot of people don't know about powerboats....
Gas, alot of gas. They don't sip or suck or nada. They convert it directly into speed and noise. The engine is for asthetic purposes only.

Nice try to the producers of this flick. If this race was more interesting this doc would be dramatic. Hopefully this small island race would get proper sponsorship and draw real competitors.

My only beef with the Great Race is why are there speed penalties? Its Racing, you go to your top end in racing and let the other guy do one better if he wants to pass. Get rid of the speed limit, if Solo top end is 150mph, let them do 150mph and lets see real racing.
Marvin Campbell most races have speed classes. Considering its not stock racing it's the only way to make it fair and more competitive
