I was in the Seabees 78-83 and a Heavy Equipment Operator. I was fortunate enough to drive/ operate 2 different very heavy duty DM 800 Mack's. One had a V8 ,the other a straight 6. Both had winches behind the cab that would lower and raise the flatbed trailer up after loading up Heavy Equipment. You literally unscrewed the kingpin out and lower the trailer to where the front of it would lay down flat. I've never seen any Mack's like these since I got out. What a great experience I had also with driving many different trucks and Heavy Equipment. Retired now after running heavy equipment on mostly big road jobs.
This brings back memories. While deployed to Operation Desert Storm. I got assigned to take my squad and remove blown engine and install a new engine . We did it in 1 day . Those HET's. are massive . I saw many of them working hauling M1 Tanks .
Thank you my heavy duty equipment repair ( overhaul) "Friend. Boy what a beast. You guys did great on the boom up on old crane, Excellent thinking. Those International Loaders are one of my favorites from operating them in the late 1970s. So,so glad you saved that Loader, bought her, restoring her. The 100 series machines that they made were just heavy duty in my Humble opinion.
I am lucky enough to have one of these military spec 8V92TA engine's fitted to my Kenworth W900 SAR Prime mover Down under Kenworth released the 50 year Australian assembly plant anniversary model SAR which is powered by Cummins X15.Beautiful truck to drive but I still had a bigger smile driving the 86 Model gold nugget with the Detroit than the new one.
this had Dave Sparks written all over it did you call him to tell him you got one? Oh was there any loose bolts laying in it and did uncle scottt snatch them up?
This godly redneck, so do you need that all your equipment buddy you’re saying you don’t have enough axles the whole summer stuff now you do good luck be safe
Now when you say truck this is a truck ! Not a little SUV ! Awesome 👍👍

Where’s the trailer? Most likely will always need a permit, this will definitely require a particular buyer. Nice truck!
With the Detroit making you lose your hearing and the seats making your nerve endings scream the government was all about comfort.
