    There is a small and faboulous graveyad in the Suleimaniyah Mosque and two historic people are burried there.1'st one is Suleiman the Magnificent and the second one is his wife Hurrem Sultan. Do not forget to "thumbs up" if you like and sunscribe.
    The black stone on the upper entrance of the tomb of Suleiman the Magnificent (which i zoom to) is believed the stone came from Heaven.
    Also the shiny stones on the inner side of the dome of Suleiman the Magnificent are precious stones (like dimonad, rubby, emerald etc.)

      @@imanh9193 Yes, we were everywhere, at the Topkapi Palace, at the Hagia Sophia, at the Blue Mosque, at the tomb of Sultan Ahmed and some other sultans, at the Hippodrome, at the Cistern Art Gallery, at the Archaeological Museum, at the Museum of Islamic and Turkish Art, at the Mosaic Museum, at the Suleyman pasha mosque, at the Rüstem pasha mosque, at the Grand Bazaar, and at the Egyptian Bazaar at the Galata Tower and we were on a Bosphorus boat trip. And we ate very delicious food and Turkish sweets. However, we didn’t see a lot of things we wanted to see yet, e.g. the Dolmabahce Palace, the Yedikule or the Taksim Square, or the Balat and we forgot to visit the tomb of Sinan pasha, but we will do it next time. Hi. I never knew of this story as I am way far from this culture, civilisation and probably did not affect one bit my ancestral history but am realy fascinated. So please tell me, was The Sultan Soleiman the last one? If not why is his tomb more revered? It's been only about 500years is Turkey now a democratic nation with a president? Thanks.

    • @montihaha8231
      @montihaha8231 3 роки тому +6

      No, Suleiman wasn't the last one but he was the best and most powerful sultan which is why he was named Suleiman the Magnificent. And yes Turkey is now a democratic nation with a president Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. I recommend you watch a tv drama series called Suleiman the Magnificent, based on him falling in love with a slave named Alexandra who later became very powerful Hurrem sultan, fighting her enemies to save her childrens lives and put one of her sons the Ottoman throne. It's very interesting, based on a true story. :)

      It was the tridition of the oğuz turks even before the ottoman empire that when a turk would die they would place the headwear of that person on the tombstone..So the ottoman sultans carried this tridition since they are also oğuz turk..But I donot know that the headwear today on the sultan tomb is real or just the replica of the real headgear of the sultan

    Did they buried them in the graves and then made tombs and coffins on them? Or they transfered their bodies later. I know it's against the law to open them, but I would be so curious to know their height and how they looked.

    • @Elabicu
      @Elabicu  4 роки тому +27

      Hi King E. They all burried underground and they made the tomb on the grave. So the coffin we see on the video are actually empty. Real body is burried underneath the coffins. And an interesting information about Sultan Suleiman The Magnificent is we know his exact height. So how do we know ? His robe (kaftan) is displayed in Topkapi Palace and according to his robe, his height is around 180 CM (5'10"). His skin is not dark coloured.

      Gracias por tu interés en la cultura de Turquía y la historia otomana. En general, los ataúdes en los mausoleos y tumbas otomanas se utilizan para mostrar y honrar a los fallecidos. Sin embargo, los cuerpos y restos óseos suelen ser sepultados en la tierra. Las cajas de los ataúdes se utilizan como una representación simbólica del lugar de descanso final del difunto. Espero que esta información te sea útil. ¡Saludos!
