I fell in love with rope flow immediately when I first found out about it, seeing a lot of guys on youtube executing all these different moves. Now instead of conventional cardio, i do freestyle rope flow, based on the movements that i know. I never regret picking up the rope because everytime I do, it lifts up my spirit.

After doing rope flow for a few weeks I am amazed how much the rope is powered by the well timed spinal rotation.
Yes, this “muscle memory” is locked in and transferable to other movement practice!

Great discussion. I am learning so much from both of you. I just received my ropes Tim and love them. David I love the 117 reference. Love it. Plus you have the same name as the hero - coincidence- I don’t think so. Thank you.

Superb interview Tim. Many thanks. I was interested in that footage of David flow roping in the desert. Do you have a link for that? Thanks!

In terms of martial arts, it is uncannily similar to Aikido and Bagua: spinning, twisting turning…

He trained Bagua, Xinyi, and Taichi and he said he had adopted for his principle for three martial art’s main concepts: Bagua, spinning circle, Xinyi, crossing through circle, and Taichi, being center of circle.

QUICK!!! SOMEBODY TELL ALL THE BOXERS THAT HAVE BEEN DOING THESE SAME MOVES SINCE THE EARLY 1900s THAT THIS GUY “INVENTED” DOING IT WITH A SLIGHTLY HEAVIER ROPE!
