My favorite is when you check your inventory after respawn and realize the game didn't give back any of the resources you used on your last attempt.
Oh god no. At that point it feels like the game is laughing at you and mocking you with every line of dialogue you've been forced to listen to before. The Worst.

You think thats bad Arc the Lad Twilight Spirits has like 20+ minutes cutscenes and a 90 minute final boss fight. Each attempt took almost 2 hours, and the final attempt was 2 hours. I had to beat it the next day because it took so long.

Why is there never a little kid that's evil in the rpgs? Like a little girl scout or like a cub scout that just got mad about never getting their final badge and decided that all adults were evil. Plotting to takeover the world, they built a bunch of robot soldiers using magic and they stole some fancy little doohickey to turn everyone into kids again. They should make an rpg where every villain is secretly a little kid playing dress-up with magical items.

Literally happened to be in Xenoblade 3 yesterday. All of my (three) healers got oneshot by a lucky AoE *just* as the two NPCs get sent in during the final phase.

The phases go Fool, Magician, Priestess, Empress, Emperor, Hierophant, Lovers, Chariot, Justice, Hermit, Fortune, Strength, Hanged Man, and Death. These are also the first 14 Tarot cards.
