      Yeah atm only defensive skills are useful like vane and siegfreid. Res isn’t even that great either because potion master is a thing

      I also took phantasmagoria off my bar, but then I put it back on again. I find that damage cap usually gets reached with the buff alone and no other attack sigil investment and use the remaining spaces on utility.

      Well it depends on what you mean by Dizzy immunity. At best it’s -70% duration no?
      Not sure what the guy meant by finding ways to mitigate Dizzy other than that

    I kinda agree with the reply shown on that reddit post. It feels like bad design when it is essentially mandatory that almost half of your sigil slots just always going to be taken up by damage cap sigils. They should have made a system that you can upgrade separately.

      Hopefully when they raise the level cap someday that the new content can come with a higher level damage cap sigil so we only need 1-2 at most to hit cap.

      Lowering the total level of Damage Cap from 65 -> 50 would be the best option still requiring 3 maxed sigils + 5 from another source (terminus weapon etc) would be the best way to promote build diversity and free up a slot.

    All this video really seemed to do was dance around the very clear fact that requiring multiple damage cap sigils takes up space that could be used for something else.

      Not at all. Because you only need dmg cap to deal max dmg. Anything else can be filled with qol stuff.
      And dmg cap+ can always add another skill too

    If it were me I would say Damage Cap is the FIRST stat that matters rather than the ONLY one, the caveat being that Damage Cap does nothing unless and until your damage starts being handicapped by it. That said I would say Damage Cap sigils are the first thing to farm for in the post-game since the point they become relevant comes MUCH sooner than most players realize.

      Same me and my friends were playing i was using versaraga kept hittin 321k. No matter my setup i put 2 damage cap sigils and my damage jumped to 669k. Its very important. I didnt know the practice room ahad a damage meter i can actually go test the sigils because i have a feeling a lot of mines are useless. Like charged attack

      same, and dont sleep on using buffs as there are plenty of players who arent damage capped yet and they'll benefit plenty from the buffs you offer.
      also if you have great cd reduction, you can use your own buffs to get to your cap and add in some utility.

    Agree on the lack of clarity of this stat. Maybe I am missing something but at least we should be able to see somwhere our damage cap flat value.

      Its the mobile games fault, It's been out for 10 years now and they expect everyone to either know, or expect the new western audience to find it out themselves. In the mobile case, people were literally doing insane numbers like 500 millions per hit, so they had to add a soft cap to stop people from breaking the game to early against weaker content, they later made endgame content less of a dps check and more of a survival check, so survival and dps will need to be balanced at endgame and dmg cap will see less use soon, some raids literally starts with a flat 30,000 True Damage party wipe, YOU NEED TO BE OVER 30,000 HP for every character or you die the moment the raid starts. This way the game is nicely balanced so people can't cheese the game or its mechanics.

    i am not quite there yet but supplementary dmg also bypasses dmg cap from what ive heard, since it generates additional attacks instead of boosting the attack itself

    My biggest issue with damage cap is that it makes damage buffs pointless at late game. Damage buffs should apply to damage after damage cap is checked.

    I like that they implemented dmg cap mechanism. A lot of live service game suffers from power creep. The fact that there is a dmg cap mechanic means that to a certain degree the players are required to play their choice of characters to a higher degree of skill as harder content is released. I understand to a certain level that many might find this aspect frustrating as you wish to see a correlation of dmg to invested time instead of a plateau. But for me I like the fact that the game challenges you to consistently get better rather than the typical player experience of played time=dmg numbers.

    Its really important to try out your damage with the training dummy on the ship because you might have caped already . So you must know if half of your damage sigils are currently useless or not (At some point my Siegfried was hitting too hard and he made all of his attack buffs totally useless since he can cap without them) . If you fill your slots with damage cap , you might not even hit the cap damage because you lack of damage since you fill your slots with damage cap .
    In the end , maxing out the right sigil will save you some slots . Just max out 2 damage cap (Lv15) at first and try to get those 20% damage cap from the mastery system ( the thing you unlock when you hit LV 80) .
    If your build is decent enough , you should do a few millions damage (like 1,2 or 3M) under 15/20 sec depending of your character.
    If you mostly play online , its alot easier : Just share your sigils when want you want to play another character. Just make sure to save your build on every character so you don't have to change everything manually .
    AND if you really want to minmax like crazy , you can try to farm those double stats sigil . This way you can have your damage plus some really good utility or even more damage. Getting a full double stats build is the absolute peak.

    As a long time Granblue player, I can definitely understand the frustration, even in the mobile game Damage Cap is wonky as all hell. Honestly a stand out video explaining it! The best tips I can give people:
    Main stats will ALWAYS be less important, the higher you go in difficulties and build varieties - While having a bunch of Attack may sound nice on paper; when your weapon is already giving you 4k+ getting an extra couple hundred off a sigil will do nothing in the long run.
    As stated in the video Crit is a fantastic way to reach higher numbers - just do note that on characters who don't have multi-hit or fast attack speed (Narmaya, Lancelot, Charlotta, etc.) it can end up being a trap stat!
    Lastly: Don't stress about damage cap. While the dopamine of hitting big numbers can get us all (Trust me, I know) The game isn't going anywhere! Enjoy your time with it and experiment. It will come naturally, the more you gather sigils!

    Yes, it bothers me that I do not know I am hitting the damage cap. How in the world am I suppose to know all of these? Nowadays, playing a game without guides is impossible. Every devs expect their game to have guides.

    Tbh I think guts/autorevive/potion hoarder/ maybe even aegis are all more important than damage cap. Yes, if you play perfectly you won’t need them, but better to have low dps than run down the entire timer yourself especially for people who haven’t learned a raid.
    Damage cap makes you a top scorer, but the three “don’t die” make you stop being a liability, and with barely any dps checks in the game, all of which can be cheesed, I find pugs much much smoother with a bit less dps if it means less rezzes.
    Ofc, as people learn raids better and stop taking damage, it’s completely reasonable to phase out survivability.

    I don't think Dmg Cap is particularly bad, I just think we need too much of it to max out the stat. It takes like 3 or more sigils to max out even with endgame weapons.

    Damage cap is so mandatory to have before anything else that they should've made the game only have 8 sigils instead of 12 and just give the max damage cap for everyone.

    Whoever said that buffs and debuffs are useless is quite wrong. First of all, you will not hit the 250/350% damage cap for atk/skills without the necessary attack stats and crit damage. Remember that your weapon and character have a ceiling attack power and that sigil slots are limited, so where are you getting those extra source of damage? Yeah, from buffs/debuffs to enemies and crit damage.
    If anything else, as mentioned in one of the comments here, Damage Cap should be your priority stat since it's the limiting factor.

    Some things Ive found out.
    Using Steel nerves sigil + Stout heart sigil doesnt work. I think its mainly for stout heart buffs. Stout heart sigil doesnt give you the golden armor buff under health bar which I think triggers stout heart related buffs.
    Dizzy immunity + Glass cannon does not work.
    Dmg Cut does not stack. E.g. Vanes personal sigil (heros will or something) 20% dmg cut on combo finisher + crabvestment returns -10% dmg cut doesnt give you -30% dmg cut. The higher will just overwrite the other buff.
    If you want to survive you have One of two strats. Dmg cut on yourself + atk down on enemies. Steel nerves does stack with Dmg cut because its more of a buff on defence rather than a debuff on attack. I think dmg cut isnt a defence modifier but an atk dmg recieved modifier. Or simply run a high lv Aegis. Most attacks wont 1 shot you with 45k+ health.
    Very confusing game when it isnt explained.
    As an added note for Vaseraga. I tried running a low health build and max dmg with undying. It doesnt work. I maxed all my sigils and still couldnt make it work. So Cascade, Quick cooldown, Ebonys -8% cooldown on chg attack etc. Youll get at best 60% of the cooldown if you optimise your combos but coupled with movement and boss mechanics you wont have near that. Especially on proud.

    I’m all for this system. In my mind, the only thing that damage cap trivializes is the unending hunger people have for the meta.
    I guess I should say that I am not a min-maxer, I wouldn’t go as far as arguing that people shouldn’t do it but it’s hard not to want to when you have random people criticizing your builds.
    Monster Hunter Rise is a game that I play a lot that it happens in, I put plenty of defense skills in my build because I make mistakes sometimes and get hit (shocker) and people will really make it their business to go through people stats in random rooms to preach to people about how they should be putting more damage in their builds without anyone asking. Hunts in the endgame rarely go over 13 minutes, it’s absurd the it bothers people when it goes over 10.
    GBR pushing people into trying skills outside of raw damage is a good idea to me and a very welcome change.

    is it even possible to hit damage cap before the later dificulties, the cap seems like a random number and not just 99999 and even seems to be a diffrent number for diffrent hits of the combo/skills like is the damage cap static or does it change as you lv up/move on to diffrent content.

      its possible if you dont run damage cap sigils but before proud mode difficulty you should only feasibly run 1 or 2 damage cap sigils. It just matters about investment if you investment more into your damage outside of sigils you will need more damage cap sigils instead of damage buff sigils. The cap is not a random number for each attack but different attacks have different numbers so you wont just see the same exact number everytime you hit the boss. If you see different numbers between 2 different instances of the same attack then you arent hitting the cap consistently which might just be a difference of party/skill buffs.

      @@lenia272 If you arr having trouble seeing if you are capping out go to training mode. Just keep doing the same attack before and after buffing damage and see if its the same number over and over again. if one attack is always damage capping then your others are as well. I agree though they should have an visual indicator for hitting damage cap.

      @@lenia272 to be fair having a fixed dmg cap for all attacks would break the game, since some attacks are meant to hit alot harder than others, there wouldnt be a place for stuff like Io´s full charged stargaze anymore. but honestly i dont see why theres a need for a dmg cap in the first place

    To sum up my thoughts on this sigil. If you see the same number on all your hits even after you improve your damage you are at the damage cap and need to slot in another damage cap sigil. Damage sigils boil down to how many damage cap sigils can I fit in to my build and still be able to hit the cap consistently. When you max out your character you essentially run no damage buff sigils and need level 65 damage cap cause you just naturally do so much damage at that point. At that point you can get other sigils not directly related to damage numbers to make the character feel stronger. I think farming and maxing out 4 damage cap sigils is the top priority for all characters and you can just switch them out for whoever you are controlling. Once you hit damage cap lvl 65 there are only a few select sigils that can actually improve your damage like war elemental and supplementary damage.

    I don't 100% think that Damage Cap is a terrible thing but it definitely shouldn't be a 65 level thing. 30 levels at most. Baseline damage cap should scale off your weapon's level while the Damage Cap sigil should open up room for DPS sigils and buffs/debuff. Ideally though, most of the DPS sigils besides attack/crit increases should work outside of the Damage Cap stat so they actually have a purpose.
    Poor Charlotta has the best attack buff that's relatively pointless right now since it's better to just build around it for consistency than be rewarding for perfect play

    Mandatory damage stats have always been a thing. Crit chance is a good example. But I think damage cap is just boring, and removes building potential.
    I would get rid of this altogether. And if they think damage will go through the roof, well allow less sigils. Simple playtesting could have fixed this.

    It's genuinely impressive how at home I feel in Relink after playing the mobile game for so many years. Damage cap is directly from the mobile, it's always a good stat to invest in, it really doesn't have diminishing returns. However, at least in the mobile, I'm not sure if this is the case in Relink, bosses have hard caps, that cannot be exceeded. Usually, you need a lot of damage cap stats to reach it... and then there are bosses where the hard cap is completely removed.

    I mean, it's the most important one but you still have to keep hitting the new cap so. Also some defensive ones is worth it imo so you dont get one shot. There is a sigil that gives you permanent damage cut. And Aegis scales your hp through the roof if invested in. Alot of missions have dont get critical mode so you want to avoid 1 shots.

    I'm not 100% sure but it seems like different characters have different damage caps on each of their different skills and combos. So it might not be so simple as slotting a bunch of damage cap for everyone.

When you're starting out the endgame you're not gonna have a bunch of fully upgraded Damage Cap sigils on hand, so it might be better to go with something like skill cooldown instead of using up all of your sigil slots on Damage cap.

      @@redreaver5598 you only need 4 sigils of dmg cap for the maximum cap is not something about putting 9 dmg cap sigil, cuz all sigils have a maximum lvl and you can't achieve more, so idk wtf are you talking about it
      Literally all dps need 6 mains sigils(cuz all DPS build need the crit weapon)
      2 sigils of crit which is 50 the maximum you can get 30(both crit sigils+20from the weapon)
      4 sigils if dmg cap(which is 60 the maximum)
      And you have like 4 o some slot FREE to put whatever you want, also there's a secret sigil called additional dmg which is the second best after dmg cap which make your dmg do MORE DMG and you can surpass the dmg cap with that, and you need 2 and then you put the special sigils of the char.
      You can replace de sigil of additional dmg with something else, but at the end, this game is about dmg, not survival or something like that, cuz I'm doing bahamut at lvl 150 and my char literally do 0 dmg 🤣☠️🤣

    If Cygames are gonna play around with endgame raids like in the gacha, then Damage cap is not gonna be all end all. In the Gacha its nice to have damage cap, but there are raids where the boss has higher defense where you cant hit that damage cap (until power crept with new weapons to put in your grid, or characters) so having different weapons and ect is more beneficial than having damage cap up.

      Keep transmuting at level 3 only (if you don't have level 3, progress to higher difficulty to unlock it).
      Don't forget to appraise your curios.
      Quick quest = dalia badges = buy mats that are hard to obtain vs farming a difficult\long boss for them. Some of these mats are required for upgrading sigils and weapons, so you might as well make a start on that now. I would not use quick quest until you are at least at maniac level difficulty but keep claiming the free tickets it gives you every so often, to maximise the rewards you are getting when you finally get to maniac difficulty (you get the same amount of badges, but it might put you in a quest that drops something you will need later whereas if you are only on hard or very hard you are going to be missing out on a lot)
      Note: You can do quick quest in closed matchmaking solo, and it will still give you the ticket every 3 clears. But you have to be in open matchmaking to use the tickets.
      Unlock proud difficulty asap (this unlocks transmarvel in the transmuting window, which guarantees either tier v\v+ sigils, character unique sigils or weapon stones)
      Note: transmarvel meter is there you just can't see it yet, it is filling up as you are transmuting so when you finally unlock it you will be sat on a lot of transmarvel attempts
      Keep in mind war elemental and supplementary damage are not in the loot table for transmarvel, you can only get those from curios boxes among some other seldom used sigils.
      Trade in useless sigils for vouchers (anything under tier v is useless for endgame, except of course for sigils that don't have any tiers)
      Trade in useless weapon stones (anything with stats you don't need, anything with less than 3 stats on it or anything lower than lvl 7 on its main stat) for vouchers. The main stat is always top of the list for each stone. The stats on weapon stones main stats go up to lvl 10 (I think, I have yet to see anything higher drop and I have seen hundreds), and the difference from 7 - 10 is much smaller than if you go 6 or lower. 6 is were it really starts to fall-off, 7 is the sweet average spot you want till you can get something better.
      If you have any exp buff sigils, run maniac slime survival quest with them on your max level characters (another good way to get vouchers since overcapping character level rewards you with vouchers + while doing this you are also farming mastery points which you are going to need A LOT of and some other useful stuff). I suggest running this in open matchmaking groups since more often than not, you got one player on one of the ranged characters just deleting everything and you don't have to do very much to get s++ at all. It also drops a curios chest every time, so if you get 100 runs of this you have tons of mastery points, tons of vouchers, and a load of curios drops to try get the super rare sigils + maybe some damage cap sigils you need atm
      Note: Don't worry about missing out on exp for other characters, they gain levels from you doing repeatable quests even if they aren't in your party + you can get leveling book consumables to level them up from certain quests + trading for them so you won't have much issue with that. I haven't even played lancelot yet, and he is already nearly level 100 just from using like 10 or so books on him and doing quests lol.
      Finally, don't forget vouchers cap at 999 so check often if you are close to cap to avoid overcapping a level 100 character and losing out on free vouchers

    capping atm 4 dammage caps sigils to 15. got a strengthen stone with 5 dammage cap on it. so slowly starting to free up space on that. at some point i start to increase crit rate to get another sigil slot free. i think the true endgame is the hybrid sygils to upgrade and get the correct rolls on them. it costst time yes. but atm im see hughe improvements after hitting lvl 65 on dammage cap the first time. starting to go for max sigils and then start to worl slowly. i think after hitting certain walls you start to weave in new sigils that push more % caps on the skills etc. like Kombo sigils or sigils that adds % numbers. i wonder if they add that %+ to the final dammage or are set in for the basic. i dont read reddit to save me from spoilers.^^

    When it really comes down to it damage cap is just like anything other damage stat in any rpg. Virtually all rpgs require you to take advantage of some kind of damage stacking and spreading out your damage stats to avoid diminishing returns. Just about all rpgs do this. Give diminishing returns on stacking stats both defensively and offensively. So from a pure mechanical standpoint its just like any other game. However the huge difference here is the psychological impact the concept of damage capping has on the player combined with it being unintuitive and also just not even clear when you might need to drop some damage stats for damage cap sigils. Its just so poorly implemented that at this point its really just killing build creativity which will hurt the game and drive away players over time. And it really adds nothing interesting or fun to the playing. Its just an artificial handicap that the player has to overcome by sacrificing utility and creativity which are things that make the game more fun to play.

    i find it extremely frustrating that none of the skills or sigils have even the closest thing to any description
    like "what are my skill cooldowns? how will quick cooldown affect them?" lmao who knows, what any of the skill cooldowns are, how did not anyone go "i think we should add a cooldown timer to the skills when you hold the button that brings up the skills, or just at the very least have numbers in the skill menu"
    other sigils like regen "recover 5% of max health" ...for what? like per second? every minute? every 5 or 10 seconds? every tick? the fact that i had to test it and count myself is annoying i think it's every 3 seconds. sigils that buff DEF, what even is DEF? how is it different from dmg reduction? dmg cut, what even is damage cut? is it dmg reduction? some sigils are useless health is useless because aegis gives almost 2 times more, the only time health is better is when you get thrown into a low level quickplay.
    i have no idea if cascade works i know it says it depends on the attack but like... how much? would captain's regular attack and vasveraga's maxed out charge have the same effect, but ferry have less? no idea.
    make damage cap numbers red, im sick of having to bash Sir Dummy's head in. GIVE ME DPS ON Sir Dummy you have total damage now just give me dps.
    someone mentioned some where that if 4 slots of sigils are always allocated to damage cap and everyone will be running them why have them in the 1st place its an illusion of choice.
    make crit numbers easier to differentiate.
    why does the game ask me if im sure i wanna repeat this quest after like 5 takes? yes i do, i wish i could turn that off in the options
    dont get me wrong the game is fun and great but it just has some details missing that would really boost it's rating for me.

    I think my biggest problem with damage cap is the fact that the level V sigil is really hard to obtain consistently. It only drops from 1 mission on proud difficulty, and is not even guaranteed. This is the sigil that literally every character needs, why is it so impossible to get?

    I like the dmg cap but I don't like it is not well enough explained in the game or even shown. If we would not have people trying things out I am sure the majority of the playerbase would not even know there is a cap.

    Damage cap is indeed important, but it is only essential because the bosses right now have the same defense. If later bosses (Lucillius kek) have a high defense then damage cap will be harder to reach and you would actually need attacks

    I feel like all i farmed for is now useless.
    I never heard of a game where Damage Cap simply doesnt just let you hit higher than 9999 or 99999. Its super confusing in this game because any number can be your damage cap.
    Also why isnt ATK power and damage the same thing?
    So I spent hours trying to make a combo heavy build (like combo boosters and stuff with skill cooldowns) and non of that matters because Damage cap HAS to be there for me to even be doing damage when all it should do is just remove the limiter not increase the damage itself.
    The other thing I learned that the game doesn't tell you is you can't get duplicate sigils with the same traits. So again I was farming for no reason

      Best way to find out is going to the GrandCypher and practicing on the dummy. If you see the same number every hit, you know youve hit damage cap!

      But different attacks have different cap

    Yeah, see, this is why I see all the people in proud mode quests die in one fucking hit. Drives me nuts. Stuff like improved dodge and Aegis is really good and you can still do a lot of damage. You aren't going to be soaring over the cap anyways until you get your last weapon. There is really no reason to make yourself into a paper tiger.

    There's other, more indirect methods of boosting damage that I simply don't see talked about enough.
    The first is by increasing Stun Power and the Linked Together sigil to deal more damage to breakable parts as well as filling the Link Gauge more quickly. This is absolutely huge and I know I've been blathering about it for days but I am hoping to upload a video about this soon and how Lancelot & Eugen can exploit the Hell out of this.
    The other is or course to use Sigils that enhance the rate of ability use such as charge speed, cooldown and SBA rate up.
    Nimble Onslaught is particularly insane, I love using it on Narmaya in particular as it allows me to get her skills back faster during Freeflutter Stance while also netting faster SBA and an extra second of invulnerability following a perfect dodge.
    Oh and successfully performing Perfect Guards deals a decent chunk of Stun damage to all enemies around you.

    They wan u to experiment, to actually play the game with skill and to synergise for endgame raids. Its ingenious. Going full 4man dps without support buffs is impossible to clear any of the last few bosses unless your actually a god at dodge n guard timings. This damage cap mechanic is a scrub killer.

    Damage cap is a bloat stat. I dont think it should exist and you have no idea if you are hitting it or not. If it existed, it should be on a separate progression path outside of sigils. Game has to many convoluted kind of gacha type mechanics that really push people away. IMO

      Its the mobile games fault, It's been out for 10 years now and they expect everyone to either know, or expect the new western audience to find it out themselves. In the mobile case, people were literally doing insane numbers like 500 millions per hit, so they had to add a soft cap to stop people from breaking the game to early against weaker content, they later made endgame content less of a dps check and more of a survival check, so survival and dps will need to be balanced at endgame and dmg cap will see less use soon, some raids literally starts with a flat 30,000 True Damage party wipe, YOU NEED TO BE OVER 30,000 HP for every character or you die the moment the raid starts. This way the game is nicely balanced so people can't cheese the game or its mechanics.

      I have 2 damage based Sigils equipped, with 4 damage cap V equipped, and I am STILL hitting damage cap. I don't have the last weapon yet, but at least with the Crit Weapon on Zeta, I have basically no damage sigils and I'm still capped atm

      I second what HeavyMetalLink05 said. By the time I had gotten to Bahamut Versa (the level 120 one) I had maxed out Narmaya's crit weapon as well as her offensive mastery tree but was getting stomped even with an online party.
      I hadn't touched Damage Cap prior to that, and after farming Angra Mainyu for some Damage Cap sigils I literally doubled my damage output (about +130% cap plus whatever boosts come from the mastery). Killed Versa first try after that.

    i find this mechanic kinda ass honestly, i'm playing with a friend, me as vaseraga and him as charlotta, i can do 1kk dmg with a charged attack and that's the character's cap, there's no more progression after you hit the damage cap lvl 65, he's playing as charlotta and does at most 28275 when the infinite combo hits, and that's it, any damage buffs or defense debuffs don't do anything to increase this damage, and that's without me or him equipping a single attack power sigils

      They don't want the game to be a dps snooze fest, where a lvl 25 dude can just do 500m damage like a lvl 250 player, the soft cap stops people from dps cheesing the game and all its content. Gotta use your skills, build good team comps, and do boss mechanics, more importantly try different characters and elements.

      @@thefool8641 the point i was trying to make is that at lvl 100 there's no point in attack sigils or skills that buff attack, and that feels pretty bad bc most dps characters have attack dmg buffs that will simply be useless in the late game, i thinkis valid that there has to be a limit to how much dps a character can make so the bosses still feel difficult even after reaching the damage limit

He gets boosted damage when his hp is low, or when you clash or when you charge attack. its like all useless.

    Seems like a super lame system where you need to raise the damage cap. I never understood why there would ever need to be a damage cap in a video game unless the mechanics were just not well thought out. How about instead of a literal not capped damage cap that can be raised via some other mechanic… you just do not make it possible to stack buffs capable of reaching dumb idiotic numbers that require a cap in the first place?
    Also, why do game developers think ginormous numbers are cool? You would think these developers would have learned from the backlash with Disgaea 6 but I guess not.
    If a foe has either 500 HP or 750,000 HP.. and you hit for either 36 DMG or 53,095 which is better?
    It is the lower numbers. Instead of capping dmg, better to cap buff multipliers and additives. Max CR 90 Max CD boost 400% max DMG boost 300%
    Do this and you won’t have arbitrary dmg caps. Instead just insure that the weapons base dmg is never some idiotic number that results in something overly stupid like one hit K.O. On a Boss.

      it's a mechanic in the main game and considering its success it's not a super lame system lol. i will say that in this game it is super lame because of how easy it is to reach. at least in the main game's damage calculations damage cap was a lot more well thought-out.
      in the main game, damage cap had 3 stages, it starts with a soft cap which actually required you to have damage multipleirs to push through before hitting the hard cap that finally required you to bring in damage cap up. and to add a bit of balance there was a final hard cap that couldn't be pushed through outside of having a different damage instance, or specific damage multipliers.
      that final hard cap is what they added in relink, the problem is they put it on the stage where soft cap should've been and gave it the mechanics of hard cap.

      Also, prepare for a very lame sentence :
      the game caps Level Cap sigil boosts to lvl 65. and then lets you break that with another skill so long as your HP is under 45k...
      Weird math shit like that might work when the game is gacha or charges for every little thing and this is one way to get people to spend cash. but in GFR ? No gacha, no P2W so... seems like a game mechanic just for the sake of a game mechanic.
      Shocked they do not have Jump height caps that can be broken or movement speed caps that need sigils to raise. Oh I know, how about sigils to limit the amount of quests you can take per hour without a Quest Limit V sigil =)
