- The Electribe 2 is a fun ride. The quality of the effects is outstanding and gives you sounds you've never heard before. I'm deeply missing the sampling of the previous version though.
Really I hated this gear at first and gave to a friend . Thankfully years later I got another and it really is cool haha. It's no emx1 however

On the used market its the best value all in one groovebox imo
It certainly covers everything most people could need.

my first groovebox was e2s (sampler edition)
but less synth preset than this + bad output/export sound quality made me sad.
Yeah the Electribe series has come a long way :)
Iv used the old electribes but I'm looking at these as they are supposed to be packed with features I'm either sending away from one of these or a novation circuit rhythm...

I have two electribe 2 samplers... there are so many features that give you more control than most other groove boxes if you know how to get there. Most other boxes turn these features into DAW type features.... dont ask me to explain that. Lol. Plus now you can update it with the hacktribe firmware making both the grey and red samplers and synths...

I use the Hacktribe Firmware (it has Synths/Osc/Samples)
Basicly it makes the electribe 2 Red and Blue.
I love the sampler version I bought it used for 270$ perfect working condition it's my poor man's MPC for beat making

3:15 Nah. You can't even load samples on it. Those voice shots were just manufacturer preloaded samples.

There is a hack firmware on the web to change this into the electribe 2 sampler. I made the change in mine and it is awesome!! I don't want to return it to the synth version, but you can do it iy you want to switch between the two versions. I loaded mine with ableton drum sounds, and with other samples I made myself. Great machine!

Yep, and colored ones are even worse. The "red" one is the color of uncooked meat :/
