I think you got a little bit confused, when you slice a pie, you do it incrementally, then hit the 90 on the doorframe to where you are looking up the middle, but when you pie a door like the first move you did, you want to be back from the door farther than you think cuz of the muzzle exposure.

slicing the pie is incremental, pieing is all the way only pausing to shoot a bad guy, slicing the pie is to stay single stack, and to enter/ flow in one direction
