Thanks, just installed a used set on my 2021 duramax 2500.
Basic hand tools. Took me about 30 minutes.
I will subscribe to your channel. 🎉
What is the discount code? I’m very interested thanks
Use code RAS on our website, ScovelMotorsports.com
I got mine from you a few days ago. Now I've got to get in from offshore to install them. Thanks
Awesome!! Let me know if you have any questions or anything buddy. Thanks for the order!
Love the truck. Good job.
Thank you!
Cool video.
They should help with keeping the tires planted when you step on it. Help keep from hopping. Might spin more now.
Give us updates. Month in. 6 months in.
Absolutely! I’ll make more videos referencing the RAS long term. I will say they have help up great though so far
Nice video bro. What’s your truck set up? Can you do a truck walk around ?
I need to do that soon!!
Do you have a discount code to purchase a pair of these?
Code: RAS on our website buddy
@@americanduramaxThank you buddy! Ok my chevy 1500 3.0L duramax is a 2022. The Ones on your site says to 2021. Will those still work for a 2022?
the rear of my truck bounces all over after hitting track at high speed even with brand new kyb monomax shocks do you think this would help? 99 chevy 1500 5.3 thanks a lot
If the shocks are bouncy like you are describing , it may make it worse. i have experienced some shocks like the KYB's i ran recently on my work truck that i keep stock are just awful and unsafe. i would go with a slower rebound shock like a FOX and then the RAS would help a lot
@@americanduramax thanks for the advice ill try out different shocks... its almost like the kyb' are to hard and the leaf springs are "springing" after a hit...
Have a 13 2500 duramax towing a 21ft toyhauler bumper pull. Will these help eliminate the bounce? Trying to make as smooth as possible for the wife!!!
Absolutely will help with even more than that. Good shocks in the rear are a must either way. They make 2 options for these springs & I’d absolutely look into the HD version that we offer on our website
Will these fit over the Rough Country 6" lift anti wrap lift blocks? Thanks
Nice setup. I have a 2500hd w/6’’ lift and was wondering if you got the “Standard Duty or Heavy Duty” kit?
HD buddy! I’m an authorized dealer now, let me know if i can get you a pair as well. I offer a pretty good discount on them
What cst kit....please and what wheels....tnx
We're a dealer and can help if you reach out. IG @americanduramax or Email ScovelMotorsports@gmail.com but to answer your question, CST 4" w CST 2.0 Resi Shocks. Can't remember the name of the wheels but they are methods lol
Just installed and is still sitting at factory height.
That’s awesome. What feeler gauge did you use?
I started at 41 1/2 inches before install and is still sitting at 41 1/2 after does that sound right thought I would be a little high after install. Taking back to the shop and having them reinstall it.
@@mrbill1457 That definitely depends on a few factors but my truck has deaver add-a-packs on the truck making the rear droop slightly different than bone stock.
Aren’t you supposed to set these up with the weight on the back axel so it won’t sit high after install?
@@ThePikappmike no
HOW IS THE RIDE ?
It’s awesome loaded & empty. All my customers have been loving it too honestly
These vs. airbags?
Most cases i’d take these over airbags!
Hate when my sirbags iSLAM back up after compression from a speed bump or road seam catchin both tires.. bout put your head in the roof
@@cybermavrik exactly. It’s like, what’s the point of having springs in the first place? Air bags allow for nearly no suspension travel depending on load & PSI
I have a Silverado 2500 Duramax Alison trans
I need to increase payload by 1000 lb.
I am planning to add 1 leaf spring, which will make the ride stiff. Any recommendations for making smoother ride ?
Do I need new suspensions? Or shocks ?
Thanks
Well shocks improve the ride & handling but springs is what will help the capacity. These roadmaster springs would be exactly what you need for increasing your payload. This will also allow you to have a nice ride as well
You need a new truck if you want more payload. You cant safely overload your trucks axle and frame rating by 1000lbs. Shocks dont do anything for payload.
@@rhyse4818 Thank you for a sensible comment. Question shouldn’t have even been asked and DEFINITELY not given an answer other than your comment.
Its a 2500 he'll be fine.
@@americanduramax NOT... payload is built in. Higher-rated springs will not increase axle or tire load ratings. Now removing the unused seats, door panels, boom boxes, carpets, and headliners will increase the payload. 😂
How was it with just the 25% setting
How is the ride and stance unloaded?
way better than anything else. i liked it alot
Been eyeing these. Think sd or hd for tundra encroaching on max tongue weight?!
Hey Seth; I would say the HD kit. There is two feeler gauge settings on it and I think you would like both of them depending on how much weight is on the trailer.
I just installed these on my 1500. The 2 nuts on the end that you say are locked when you took them out of the box, my threaded rod actually extended further out as I turned the spring to extend it. Is that ok or will it not perform properly?
I’d have to get a visual buddy. They do need to be adjusted at first on the truck.
How do they hold up when carrying close to or at the 3000lb rating?
I’m right at that rating with this huge trailer and it does excellent buddy! Really impressive
If you do these, deavers or airbags, i’m a dealer!
I see you sell these. How do I get a quote?
Yes sir!! Email me at scovelmotorsports@gmail.com or visit our website ScovelMotorsports.com ! Appreciate you supporting us!
Nice been thinking about this for my duramax. Love the color of your ride man. Can I ask what lift your set at and tires.
I'm running my cst kit at 3" and running fox shocks. On 295 70 18... looking to set the truck up on 35 12.5 18 but wondering about clearance up front, and how much I gotta trim. Love how your truck looks
Not much for 35’s buddy!! My instagram i have several photos of my CST kit running 37’s no problems
Which jack and jack stands did you use. Very interested
Sunex is the brand, amazon has them. 10 Ton Ratings. They are awesome!
Did u lower them down to 25% increase? If u did did it effect ride height?
I like the ride now; it's great. I think 25% just wouldnt tow as well and it would sit lower loaded/unloaded
Hey man I’m interested in these. You have a discount code with them?
I have the BEST price of anyone selling these period. Message me @ Scovelmotorsports@gmail.com with your shipping info & i’ll send over the invoice buddy
I’m getting ready to install the RAS on my 2022 Chevy 2500HD L5P to help with rear squat on my Grand Design Momentum 29G bumper pull toy hauler. The tongue weight is about 1600 lbs without water. The rear squat with weight distribution is about 2 3/4 inches. Should I go with the 2mm spacing? If so, how much can I expect the height to increase with the truck unloaded?
By the way, great job on your videos!
Thanks Jake! Hard to say on that; I would try the smaller of the 2 spacers first and see how you like it. it's so easy to adjust it up to the higher setting on the 2nd trip out. just a few moments tightening the 14MM adjuster nut and away you go.
Do you still ride the BDS Coil-over Conversion?
I wish but i sold that kit unfortunately
Is it worth the money for the kit? I also will do a lot of towing and mudding.
Absolutely, i love it. It rides so much better. I’m a dealer for any of the stuff you may need buddy
What happened to the Deavers? How do these effect ride quality? Do you think you would lose suspension travel using these with deavers?
Same ? What happened to Deaver springs
Same same lol. I'm still wondering how these would do with Deavers. I want the wheel travel of Deavers with the added adjustable load capacity from these.
@@JavierPadron i have deaver mini packs & these installed. My 3” custom deaver pack was too high for this lift kit!
@@JavierPadron i have the deaver mini pack buddy! The full 3” pack i had with my Coilover conversion is gone. Too big for this lift
Did you go with the HD springs or the “normal”
HD springs buddy. If you’d like a deal on then, let me know!!
@@americanduramax what’s your pricing. Getting into camping season so I should probably purchase them.
3611-hd. I believe is the PN
