There are some essential things your new puppy needs and I want to make sure you get the right puppy supplies to start working on potty training and crate training for your new dog. When you bring a new puppy home you’ll want to make sure your house is puppy-proofed. You’ll need to know how to handle puppy biting and puppy barking while in the crate. Our crate is big too. We are picking up our golden doodle next week. Any other suggestions
We have a cocker spaniel and a shih tzu and on the 22nd we pick up our double doodle (golden doodle and labradoodle). The tips are so helpful! We have a plastic crate... should I still cover it?

Thank you so much! My puppy is coming home soon and I want to help him grow into the best well-adjusted dog he can be. There is so much to teach him and I have been so worried about planning training time, whether I would end up giving him too much at once so he doesn't absorb it, or not nearly enough. Your videos have really helped me plan everything out more and relax a bit.

This is a great video, thank you so much for sharing! Our new puppy (which comes home with us on 4/25) is a Pyrenees/border collie mix. She will be about 8 weeks old. Since meeting her last weekend, I've been in full on puppy prep mode. Watching videos like yours helps to ease the anxiety of what's to come. I even inputed the puppy schedule in my Timely app to help me stay on top of her needs. Thank you again!

When we collected my puppy and (tried) to drive out of the breeders drive the mother dog was barking at us and guarding the way, she probably knew that we had one of her pups 🥺💛

6 weeks is much too young to be taken from its mother. Was he weaned??? Puppies need to be with their mother minimum 8 to 9 weeks.

I’m finally picking my new puppy up in 2 more days! I’ve not had a puppy for over 10 years and this was very helpful! The only thing negative is my country doesn’t allow crates no matter if you keep them open or not but all other tips are great :D

Hi Michele! Thanks so much for all the great content. I have a question about potty training and I am hoping you can help. I have a paved backyard, which is fenced in and accessible through my bedroom (so convenient for middle of the night potty breaks) and I am hoping to establish this as the potty spot for my new puppy. However, I am concerned that the pup won't like/or understand that this is where they are supposed to use the bathroom because they are used to going on grass. If so, do you think it would be better to establish the front yard (grassy area) as the potty spot? Thanks in advance!
