My puppy is born this week and I'll get to pick her up in 8-10 weeks. She'll be my first dog. Been researching dog stuff for the past 3 years and even though I know a lot theoretical about their behavior, it is always nice to recap and prepare myself for the practical part of puppyhood. Your videos are well made so I'll be checking in quite often these next months!
We’ve watched so many of your training videos and we love how informative they are. I would love to see some vlogs of you and your dogs interacting on a normal, lazy-Saturday kind of day.
Dogs aren’t humans, and don’t require the amount of care that babies need. Dogs are animals, don’t treat them as humans (if I ever get one I’ll keep it outside) but of course still show love to them.
Glad I have found these video and your channel. There's a dog that has been coming in and out of our apartment place that's pregnant and found out that she was abandoned, left by her owner when she it moved out of the place, so we started feeding the dog and welcoming her in, she just gave birth one week ago with six beautiful puppies, and the thing is our family never had an experience with raising a dog, we also don't know what to do with all the puppies, and where to start, but we decided that for the mean time take care all of them but we're all clueless on what to do.

Hey Rachel, Can you please create a video on teaching your puppy to let you know when they need to go outside for potty? My puppy sometimes wines and/or barks, and sometimes he does not, and ends up going inside. It is never consistent. Mistakes happen on days he drinks more water than usual. We are usually on top of it for taking him outside most times, but this is before he even has a chance to make a mistake. We considered teaching the bell method, but I am hoping you could make some recommendations. Thanks!
Hi Rachel Can you make a video on "how to convince your parents for a dog if your parents are strict" because my mom is so strict she doesn't want one i made a presentation it convinced her a little but she said she is 50% convinced and she needs to be 100% convinced, i need help, Thank you rachel i love your videos even if i dont have a dog.....Yet

I had the same problem I wanted one so bad and my mom was ok with getting one but my dad said no for around 5 years. This year he finally let me get one it was the hardest thing to convince him. It was my birthday gift and Christmas gift and I have to do all the work and stuff and he said that if I don’t do the work that we will return him and never get another one so I’ve always done all the work I’ve only had him for 6 weeks. but before I can tell you how to convince why doesn’t she want on once I know I can try to help you because most likely it was the same type of situation as me
I convinced my parents to get a golden doodle puppy (getting the baby November 14-20 hopefully, unless we would rather wait next litter but I’m confident we will like this pup) by making a presentation with 100 reasons why, when I would take care of the puppy and how, and I made a schedule. My parents at first 100o/o did not want a puppy because we already had 2 dog and a cat but I convinced them!

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for your wonderful videos!!! I brought my 7 week old beagle puppy, Tucker, home 3 days ago. He's my first indoor puppy and I've been using a lot of your recommendations around potty and crate training, as well as interactive feeding and play. I'm amazed at how well he's doing, after just a few days! He loves his crate, he goes potty every time I take him out (every 90 min), and only a few accidents in the house so far. We're not doing commands yet, but he's doing pretty good with recall/come. Now, we're trying to work on him not jumping/chewing on my shoes when he gets to me. 😂😂😂 While it may take a little time, I feel confident that we'll get there. Again, thanks for all your wonderful tips on raising a puppy well. Can't wait to watch the next one! I'm getting my Jack Russell Terrier puppy tomorrow. I'm so excited but also nervous because of the huge responsibilities. Your videos help me out so much. Thanks a lot! Do you have any tips you can give in specific to Jack Russell puppies? Love your video, keep uploading so us first time owners can learn!😊
Rashmi Venkatesh ...Best of Luck !....Btw JRTs are too adorable and the best breed u can think of...!...Give it the right amount of exercise though !
I bet you are getting excited!!

So exciting for all the new puppy parents!!
I know right !...I’m getting one too in a month’s time !!!🤩🥳
Congratulations on your new pup! But be careful and do not over or under exercise your puppy. Jack Russel is a serious athlete and hunter.
My room is small so that would be his crate lol

Dang it. Just three weeks late. I got my puppy a while ago and I’m loving him but I wish this came out sooner!
I've been watching your videos for a long time now and these are helping. I don't have a puppy and I doubt I'll get one soon but I love your videos! My brother and dad are allergic and puppies are too much care so we can't get one. I'll definitely get one when I'm older and re-watch your videos. Thx sm, I'm 11 and there's like a million more years till I move out and get a puppy. 🙌🏼💕
How is your puppy going? Would love to hear any tips and tricks you’ve learned
I have owned my pup since he was 4 months old and I hand fed him when I first had him and he is thriving
We’ve watched so many of your training videos and we love how informative they are. I would love to see some vlogs of you and your dogs interacting on a normal, lazy-Saturday kind of day.
Hello
im picking up my puppy tomorrow and im really nervous that im going to do something wrong so this helped me so much
I wish people were as affectionate or loving with their own kids as they are with dogs
Fr
I just got a puppy 2 hours ago called Merlin!!!!
He’s so cute!
ahh i already convinced my parents but i need to wait longer because of CorOnA

Oh that’s sad
We needed to get our puppy a few weeks later than expected bc of extended lockdown. But it’s so great we finally got him

my sliver lab is being born early january so i’m ultra preparing by watching like every video on your youtube
I’ve watched your videos for three hours because I’m getting a puppy next Saturday
Oh that’s awesome thank you! And congratulations
I'm getting my puppy this Saturday and I've been binge watching your videos all month! They've really helped me prepare!
ME TOO HAHAHAHAHA
Do you think a soft playpen (sort of a smaller hexagon shape) would be a fine alternative to a soft crate? That’s what we have right now, and that’s what Theo (my puppy) is used to
I just got my first puppy ever in my whole entire life and this help me very much
These videos are the best training for dogs owners Ive ever seen !! Thank you for your time and making it look easy to do.
OMG you're so wonderful and make some pretty intensely informative yet super easy to digest videos! I'm no stranger to dogs but you really know how to drop some science so I hung on every word and learned a bunch of really useful stuff. Thank you thank you thank you! Discovering that there is a dog advocate out there in the world like you who is spreading the word and spreading the knowledge just made my day! YAY and God bless you!
She has many. Pls try to adopt a dog that’s unlikely to get adopted. Update me

She's already made one!

By now, I think I’ve watched almost ALL of your videos!! They are so worth it. I started off watching different UA-camrs to prep for my puppy, but ended up sticking with only you because you are AWESOME, so full of joy, and you’ve had a video for EVERY question I’ve had so far! It’s like past-you can read my mind. Hahah Thank you for your knowledge!!
😅
Getting my cockatoo in a couple of weeks. A Merle boy and this is my FIRST DOG EVER and I am sooo scared and excited at the same time. I don’t know what I’m doing, but I’m doin it… send me well wishes guys… I feel like I’m waiting for a new human baby LOL
There are a billion videos… everyone has different advice… a billion things to think of and or buy … puppy proofing, etc.. it’s all very overwhelming
I’m getting a dog in 3 days this was very helpful

I got a puppy 5days back her name is Zoe she is now 7weeks old and your video helped me to potty train her now she is almost fullypotty trained
ahh this was so helpful! i already convinced my parents about the puppy we just need to wait for a bit cause we need to find the perfect breeder!
I definitely recommend checking out local shelters they have puppies a lot the benefits are rescuing a puppy and adoption fees are a lot less than breeder prices
fish bloop Im not forcing her to do anything I’m letting her know of other options to consider to hopefully give helpful advice chill out dude
@@TheChessmastersa ok I’m sorry
I have a dog called tilly she's a chocolate labrador and she is a really good dog so this was just more for if I get a new dog in a year we think when we get a new bigger house so this was helpful
thx for ur vids they r soooo helpful bc im getting my puppy in january!!!! #saveallthedamndogs!!!
Hi Rachel can you please do a video on stoping your dog from marking in the house because I’ve tried everything and I want another dog but that’s stoping us from getting one right now, love your videos
Im not Rachel but a tip is to make sure that you clean the area they peed in very very well. If they smell their pee there they will continue to go in the house. I also recommend just watching her potty training videos.
@@huedenise Thank you so much this really helps me and I will try this and see how it goes.
i am picking my puppy on thursday! your videos have helped me a lot to feel more prepared

I’m getting a miniature Australian Shepherd in a few months so I’ve just been binging your videos
I’m picking up my lab mix from the vet tomorrow! I rescued her from the shelter in LA. So by law she has to be spayed. Super excited for when I pick her up tomorrow! I just got back from buying play pens and crate!
Mine comes home in two weeks!! Thanks you for this!
Keeping them on leash and the leash attached to you (clip onto a belt loop, ect) is also a good way to make sure you have an eye on them if gating is to impractical/expensive for your situation.
Can you do a video about how you socialize Wally? Thanks!
my standard poodle is not even a week old yet, but I’m gonna make sure i’m prepared for 7 weeks from now when he comes home:)
Rachel you should try get teach us and train a inexperienced puppy and how to potty train I think that would work better too :)❤️❤️
i get my puppy today omg i’m so excited
Hey I’m 13 and I’m the main reason my fam is getting a dog. I have kept bugging and bugging my parents for a while now and I was wondering if I classify as a child and that I can’t interact with the dog when he comes. The dog will also sleep in my room and not my parents. Is that okay too?
I’m about to get a 6months old boy and your video just helped me so much! Thank you
THANK YOU for being such a great inspiration to dog owners and for helping us out sm!
Hi I'm getting a service dog. I'm getting a puppy. I have Phyciatric needs. I have a dog that I potty trained. But he came to me at an older age. 1 years. I will be getting a puppy. I haven't ever had a puppy puppy before. Your videos are really helpful. Thank you.
Ty Rachel! I’m getting a pup in 1-2 weeks so I’m binge watching your vids👍🏼
Cable tying c and c grids to a gate works well to stop them getting through. I like your tips and will be trying them.
Please keep making more of these! You are a Godsend to all pet parents and future pet parents!💕💕💕🐶🐶

I’ve had my puppy for about 3 or 4 weeks now and this video definitely helped for the first few days
I've had my puppy for 2 weeks. I wasn't consistent with him. It's too cold to pee outside. He won't use the pee pads.
Same! We’re having a snow storm in Texas and I feel like it’s too cold to take her outside because she’s almost 9 weeks. She’s using her pee pads but she’d rather pee on the carpet. It’s hard!
Im having the same problem. At first my puppy would use the pads, but now prefers the carpet. Any help?
im getting a puppy in about 2 years but im already taking notes lol- thank you sm!
I just got my 7 week old puppy on wednesday
PS - As a possible video idea, I'd for love and suggestions you may have for selecting a good vet and ensuring a positive first trip to the vet experience!
Our new pup came home just now, today. You're advice I know is so helpful already, thank you so much!~ My younger siblings and my folks aren't as animal/pet savvy as I am so, along with me They definitely need to learn this info from now on and the next few weeks/months. ^^ 💚
