thanks for doing the video, I am just getting into this so its a big help. 8 regiments doesnt seem like enough for even a small battle why did they name this box Gettysburg? are there scenarios that come with the game that break the battle up into very small conflicts so its playable with whats in the box?
Yes, there are 5 scenarios provided in the booklet for the Civil War rules that expand the basic black powder rules. The first scenario, the Battle of Greenbrier River uses only the regiments provided. Gettysburg has 2 one for day one and one for day two. I think the name is just a name for marketing the product from Warlord games since most people know that battle from the Civil War. It is a starter set and like most starter sets it can provide the basics for battles and other battles if you want to be historically accurate need some more troops :)
