    What a great review, per usual! I think Babbel is a great starting app for students who are pursing a new language, especially Italian!

    I have Babbel for Italian. It's just okay because at least half of the audio does NOT pronounce words using an Italian accent. Some of the words are pronounced in a Spanish accent. It is important for Babbel to teach their students the correct way to pronounce Italian words.

    Been casual user for about a year. Really enjoyed the Babbel program. Just purchased the lifetime plan. Once I'm near fluent in Italian, I'll likely try a new language. Only wished they had more languages. Definitely recommend Babbel.

    Any chance of doing a "Ouino" Italian app course review? It's half the price and FLUENCY, as opposed to canned typical conversation, in their objective.

      Italian, Portuguese and Spanish are very similar languages, but my favourite is Portuguese because is more fluid in pronunciation, but Spanish is a official Language in 21 countries around the world and I think more important.

    I have a question. We just moved to Italy. I homeschool my boys. My 3 sons and myself can go to the language classes Lucca offers. My youngest isn't old enough to go. He is 13 and needs to be 16 to go. What language program would you recommend so he can communicate with the kids and adults in our village.

      Wow, that's incredible. What a cool experience for your boys. I would recommend checking out Babbel, Pimsleur, and Rocket Italian. Those programs are probably best suited for your situation.

    With the live lessons, are students given relevant material to use to prepare for the lesson?

    • @TestPrepInsight
      @TestPrepInsight  5 місяців тому

      It's usually more about takeaway assignments than material upfront to prepare. There's some basic info provided pre-lesson so you know what to expect, but there's no homework or anything like that before the class.

      Thank you so much for your prompt reply!
      That makes sense…one more detail though please - is the “prep material” focused on the language you’d need in order to participate, target language? And then the lesson is the opportunity to use and practice the language?
      This is one approach I’m finding hard to find!

    A good comprehensive review of Babbel Italian, if a little rushed. Wow, you speak so fast without hardly breathing! I'm sure it's your learned presenting style, but I noticed myself feeling anxious listening to your review as you just didn't breathe, resulting in the final words of your sentences dropping to being barely discernable. (Just an friendly observation)

      If you are on a laptop just keep pressing the letter J as that is rewind. The letter L is for forward-wind too. I needed to do that for this video. I think the point it, that he gets his points across in 10 mins flat. We can also hit the cogwheel on the video and slow the video down a bit. Hope this helps.
