One of your best video to date, IMO, exceptional. Minor oversights, you mixed up some of your OOB numbers, though easily de-conflicted with your graphics.
These videos are very useful, thank you! Of minor note but something I appreciate about PLAGF is that brigades maintained their unit histories post-2017, much like their western equivalents. 112th Division which performed very well during the 2nd Phase Offensive in 1950 is now the 112th Heavy CA Brigade in the 82th Group Army.
type 003 is almost active, type 004 will be nuclear powered and 110,000 tons(bigger than both American supercarriers and biggest in the world....ever) and the keel was laid months ago and is being built, type 005 to 008 will all ve the same class and ve 120,000 tons and 1200 feet long and 300 feet wide and nuclear powered, then china is building many more type 055, 054, 052, 056, 071, 075, 076, 22, and new attack and ballistic missile submarines, enlarging and refining their special forces, airborne corps, amphibious corps, marine corps, rocket corps, support branch etc...plus their air-force, space force and army are all getting bigger, stronger and more/better equiped
Good video. Just a quick suggestion, the mic volume seems to be pretty low so for future videos turn the sound up a bit. I look forward to your next post.
Have you considered looking at Chinese operations in any particular area? How they approach/approached things in Djibouti, Yemen, the Mekong and the surrounding seas (among many others) might share some light on China's approach to warfare.
About the nuke, it would be nice if you mention the total yield, as just the number of warhead is misleading. USA: 820 megaton total China: 294 megaton total
An LHD looks a little like an aircraft carrier, so a full-length flight deck so it can operate a lot of helicopters, perhaps 20 to 30 (and perhaps even fixed-wing aircraft). So the ability to operate aircraft is very important and central to its role. It can take a lot of troops ashore by air, but also has the ability to land troops by landing craft. A Landing Ship Dock (LSD) is focused on using its air-cushioned vehicles (hovercraft) to take troops and equipment ashore. It can operate helicopters, but only a few (eg. 2 to 4)
Good question. I didn't include them as I was not confident of my sources stating how many of each class the PLAN had, and where they were deployed. The PLAN's SSKs are a formidable capability.
If this is to do with the Type of CA Brigades in a Group Army, "LGT" means Light Brigade. So in order as you see on the slide: "HVY" = Heavy, "MDM" = Medium, "LGT" = Light, and "AMPH = Amphibious.

I remember serial counters placed J-20 number at 114 in the beginning of the year. If current count is 200, this means J-20 production is around 90 this year. Is this true? Is the 200 number backed up serial number or satellite image counts or just an estimate?
@@filippkhan3935 I believe that's a mis reading of the J-20 serial number (at least how it is widely assumed to work). In the 3 in this case indicate batch number. I.e 370 would mean 70th aircraft of the 3rd batch. Looks like this is how the 200 number got around, by adding 70 to the current estimate of previous batches. However, the 114 from the earlier estimate is more conservative. It even allows for gaps in the serial number. But then again, it really easy to paint random serial numbers just to mess with people.
@@seanwong8479 Serial number shenanigans is something the PLAAF has never previously done. This isn’t to say that they never will but if you’re analysing their strength it’s more rational to assume they haven’t been playing games because there’s no history of them having done so before. There’s also the question of the number of brigades known to be equipped with them, 200 is a reasonable number based on this, it just means that they are further along the reequipping of these brigades than previously thought (e.g. they may have assumed brigade X was 40% reequipped but in reality it’s 60%)
Appreciated effort to grasp future scenarios with a crucial flaw: the Unites States Ministry of Defense is unreliable when it comes to analysis and recommended policy which is blatantly obvious from US procurement decisions of the last 60 years. In the coming war with China - into which Australia and New Zealand will be dragged along, inevitably since AUKUS - Western media will proclaim imminent victory... every week, with Pentagon press briefings desperately conceiling facts from fiction as it can be oberved in Ukraine where the movement of frontlines are dictated by Russian ground forces, not Galician 'offensives' as admitted 'between the lines' of each briefing... When it comes to the People Liberation Army, the situation is worse than with Russia as _nobody_ knows exact numbers of Chinese arms production, research status and actual capability - ever since the PLA suddenly won the Chinese Civil War and rolled back US advances on the Korean Peninsula without air support or a navy. They didn't hold up in skirmishes along the Vietnamese border, but may not have meant to, either since _everything_ is _stratagem_ , including a military 'underdog' status... Are the Chinese warheads heavier?
When I do the briefing on China's nuclear deterrent, it will cover launch systems, warheads, and (as far as possible) yields.
US and Russia have lots of small tactical warhead, China mostly have strategic warhead which have much larger yield
