The main reason is majority the buyer in the world are adapted to either the Russian system or the U.S system. If you want to buy the Chinese jet, it is not only the jet, you will have to replace your whole system such as training/maintenance/communication/data link etc. etc.
Almost all of the Chinese jets are just copies of Russian designs, with the exception of J-10 which is based loosely on a canceled Israeli project and the newer indigenous J-20 and J-31. If you can fly and maintain a Su-27, you can fly and maintain a J-11.
@@tarotaro6933 If by "intergral" you mean integration, hardly any of Russian fighter customers have integrated radar systems. Data link is a non-issue. And no, there isn't "much more". Chinese jets (at least those for sale with the exception of J-10) are just copycats of Russian jets. And considering how poorly Russian equipment has been functioning in Ukraine, they'll be better off buying Chinese jets, at the very least they'll be saving money, and the avionics would be much better since China still has access to most of the electronics market, unlike Russia.
Another reason why J-10 did not sell: for the first 10 year the J-10 entered service, the PLAAF still had a huge fleet of obsolete J-7 and J-8 to replace domestically, and production facility had a hard time even meeting domestic demand.
I'm more of a prop enthusiast, but all aviation is interesting to me. Have the Chinese made next generation IR missiles/tracking tech? Want to have an interesting and challenging career, get into jet engine development.
That’s true maybe the cost of the jets is to high for most countries to pay especially those who have trading with china mainly because the engines make it expensive or could be a mix of the price of the jet and laws passed by the Chinese government that stop companies from selling planes like the J-20 or any other advanced fighter or very advanced weapon wether that’s a missile, anti ship missile. I wouldn’t want to sell a variant of my most advanced missiles because they could just be bought in small amounts for “testing” meanwhile some are reverse engineered and someone makes a missile just as good but with different guidance systems and different engines but both preform the exact same
It's not only politics, quality and capability. It's the experience of local techinicians with the technology, costumer support, weapon systems availabilty and price, and spares. Mirage 2000s bought in the 80s are still flying at home, while Mig 29 bought in the 90s and 00s are already in storage.
@@vinodkaka5225 The Peruvian airfoce. Just to clarify, the Migs served how intended, and some of them were bought second hand not from Russia in the 90s.
Depends on how the aircraft are maintained, used, and stored(when not being used). The "old" practice in Russia is certainly the wrong one. USSR used to replace Military aircraft every 10-15 years until the 1980's because the designs were no longer considered modern. So methods and practices were not aimed at preserving aircraft long term and the base infrastructure was not designed to keep aircraft flying for decades as it was assumed "new and improved" aircraft would keep coming. Well then the 4th generation arrived followed by the 1990's and Russia was caught completely unprepared, with new aircraft not arriving and budgets being cut by the Government to small percentages of the previous years. 100's of aircraft were simply left in the open exposed to the weather with limited use and maintenance. This of course did not do anything good to the aircraft. Unfortunately this complacent mindset was extremely damaging. Those aircraft needed to be stored away from weather for as long as possible within storage facilities that were missing from the bases, with frequent preventative maintenance and checks to prevent long term problems like metal fatigue and corrosion that would start affecting the airframes from the bad complacent practices. Something that I am sure others were advised to follow. This really affected aircraft readiness, I am sure not just in Russia.

China ended up alienating a large market, South East Asia with its many upstart countries in need of national defence equipment, and because of this has fewer places to sell their planes. When your neighbour is claiming an entire sea and trespassing your territory, you certainly won't buy any jets from that same neighbour. Edit: Comments got heated lol. Regardless of who you support, it's simply a fact that China does not have a good relationship with a lot of its neighbours right now. And for better or for worse, an entire market of upstart countries is now closed to their aerospace defence industry.

Aerospace is their most important strategic industry. If they fail to sell a single plane to outside world, the Chinese will subsidize it to the hilt to keep it going. Self sufficiency is more important to them than monetary return at this stage of their development.
Yeh they don't care about the profit.they just want their companies(both state/civil, public or private) to have self sufficiency and be in competition with world market and world companies, just to keep them on the ball and also for self sufficiency and brand development In the end China even if China doesn't sell anything, it's not like it will affect their budget or acquisitions or R&D etc. the gov can just inject tens of billions or Trillions, like how China lent USA a trillion and like how China also has like 4 trillion in foreign reserves.

Resumed: Countries will prefer to buy military equipment from either the west or from Russia and not from China, because China lacks international political ties good enough to have a customer base as great as the western or Russian one. And it makes sense. I used to read comments where people discussed what aircrafts should their country acquire, and it was so stupid seeing people think that a country with mostly only US equipment should buy Russian or Chinese planes now, saying about "iT PeRfORmS BeTTeR aND iS MoRE mAneUvEraBLe aND CheApeR", completely ignoring the political side of buying weaponry. I will put an example as a hypothetical situation with my own country: Chile. If we compare the capabilities of the Su-30 and the F-15EX, we can say that the Russian plane has excelent firepower and maneuverability, while the F-15EX has an incredibly tough construction/design and has amazing mission survivality (along with the impressive combat air-to-air records of the original Eagle). In the case of a competition to select a fighter jet to complement our current fleets, it seems like the Sukhoi might be a better option because of a lower price and high firepower. But then remember that Chile has been buying western weaponry since the beggining of the Air Force. First with british planes, passing through some french ones, some tech from Israel, Brazilian light attack planes, and right now we have US-made F-5E/Fs and F-16s. Politically, we have way better relations with western countries and specially with the US. And that's more than enough to throw the Su-30 alternative out of the window and stay with the F-15EX.
Besides, china can't be trusted. While USA will always act in defense of itself, we have seen that they aren't interested in expanding whereas china and Russia are trying to actively sabotage the world as is
I think it is the whole package of services that go along with the purchase of the aircraft - support, parts, logistics, training, etc. In the case of the U.S. airforce you have a lot more pilots with actual combat experience who can help train new pilots. China can sell the hardware cheap but the package that comes along with it is not as attractive.
That is all find and dandy but when you sign contract with US, you are signing with the devil from sanctions to slavery to US comes as part of package. @@Grogag684Jets don't stay "new" very long if you fly them. The engines wear out. So parts are really important. Availability of parts aren't a problem for any of the current U.S. jets being sold. Cost is an issue though on the F35. That jet became too expensive so it is likely it will be replaced. Actually the Rafale F4 from France is the best option instead of U.S. fighters due to cost and good support from France for training etc.
People discount how important having decades of real war fighting logistics experience is. Things don't always work in practice how you think they're going to on paper. China has almost no experience operating a large air force or deep water navy in a war, the US invented the doctrines for both.
Because military industry in China is state owned, which means the top priority of enterprises in this industry is to meet the needs of Chinese armed forces, if export is needed as demanded by Beijing, they will.
Another point, AF is getting increasingly expensive for many countries. On the other hand, CN sell much more UAV/drones, which is much more affordable, consumable and replaceable.
there's a saying, the 21st century fighter will be a single airframe that is capable of doing everything, from close air support, air dominance, heavy strike, bombing and stealth. It'll be so expensive that there'll only be 1 airframe, the Navy gets to use it in the morning, the Airforce in the afternoon, and the Army in the evening.
@@angrydragon4574 Look at the countries buying them, not much in terms of things...but China is looking for an ingress into any intelligence they maybe share with the US.
if they want to sell fighter jets, they would only sell their used and old fighter jets, the new modern jets are still replacing their aged fleet of jets, any exports would definitely slow down the replacement timeline. They can't sell the J20s either, as it would just give other major powers an idea of the aircrafts capabilities and countermeasures
Not exactly. China never replace any old model at once, but replace them according to lifespan. It means they only replace the first class fleet and transfer the rest of old fighters to second or third class fleet. Then, they would only replace the rest of them when lifespan of most old fighter in fleet ends. Therefore, there is a time gap between the earlier purchase and later purchase. The fighter manufacturer would seek foregin order to keep the factory and supply chain running to maintain the profit during the gap and slower late purchase.

Back in those days when Chinese fighters were "popular", they were all copie of Soviet jets, those buyers were actually buying cheap Soviet replacements instead of Chinese plane. My theory why China can't seem to sell its "modern" jet fighters: Economics. As China has grown economically, its client nations didn't. As the cost to build those fighters increased, due to increased development costs and capabilities, the financial capability of those likely to buy them didn't increase. This is putting them in direct competition with western jet fighters with proven track records.
@@endutubecensorship True. However, sometimes the development cycle itself is important to the end product than just the blueprints to the end product.
China’s only hope to expand its market would be to take Russia’s traditional customers which would then sour Sino-Russo relations so they’re stuck in a bit of a hard situation
The biggest buyer of Russian Jets ( after China ofcourse) is India, which will never buy Chinese Jets. And Russia will never just give up a customer as big as them. And Nations like Turkey, will likely be developing their own low end jets, while buying the high end equipments from Russia.
Not necessarily. As Binkov pointed out several times, purchasing fighter jets is as much political as it is about capabilities or cost. If China embarrassed a country with Western military ties, it could start a shift to Sino military purchases in other parts of the world. Imagine a successful "reintegration" of Formosa due to lack of Western will. That could cause other nations to rethink their decisions. At a lower level, even a Sino client state successfully annexing land from a rival state could change the calculus. Politics is about will.
All great points, but I can't help but wonder the whole Flanker copies dispute is also part of it. Potential buyers (outside the PRC's traditional customers) could be concerned with how much of the equipment was properly made/acquired, vs how much was stolen or perhaps copied poorly. The fact that alot of the PRC's defense industry has origins elsewhere, means that they don't develop as much stuff themselves compared to Russia, US or European Nations.
Well, even many western military expert agree that China make better flankers than Russia now days. Russia is really lagging behind in electronics, J-16 had AESA radar, which Su-35 dont even have. China spent way more money than Russia to refine the flanker design, the new air frame with composite material last longer and lighter. The only advantage Russia has is TVC engines.
China doesnt sell Flankers r the last fig leaf of the poor light industry of Russia. i belive if China want to sell the Flankers Russia will be glad to buy some to upgradation their own Flankers
Exactly right, you are 100% correct. This is the main reason China will always be at least half a generation (probably more in reality) behind the United States military. Until they learn to start innovating and designing their own products properly - rather than just spying, copying and reverse engineering - this will always be the case. A lot of Chinas products are very good, but they’re significantly behind the technology of the USA. Even Russia develops their own military hardware on a higher level than China, but even they’re not up to the standard of the USA. Just look at it this way. The F22 Raptor has already been around for nearly 20yrs and would be capable of blowing anything out of the sky. The J20 only entered service a few years ago, they barely have any of them, and so far the engines are absolute garbage along with many other quality issues. So China introduces its first “fifth generation” fighter to its military & it is laughably inferior to the F22 that has been around for nearly two decades. Not only that but the F35 is being introduced en-masse (yes it is not without its problems too, but despite what all the UA-cam wannabe Lockheed Martin consultants say, it is a very capable jet when used correctly) and the USA is well on the way developing its 6th generation of plane. The point is, you cannot EVER get ahead in a technological arms race if all you ever do is copy, cheat, spy and steal intel and tech from your enemies.
@@Austrian-Painter-88 Many Soviet-era warplanes and missiles were called "Ski" by the U.S. after U.S. models, such as Tomcat Ski, Harpoon Ski, and so on. This means that they were copied and stolen from American technology. Do you know that if the Soviet Union's strong military industry relied only on theft and imitation of U.S. products, how could it compete with the United States for a long time? Now that Russian military industry has not come out with anything new for a long time, and the sudden development of China's military industry has started to worry the U.S., repeating the smear tactics that disparaged the Soviet Union back then is the best means to damage China's international image and strike the credibility of China's military equipment exports. Caution and mislead potential Chinese military customers who may cross markets with the U.S., such as instead of buying Chinese imitations it is better to buy American goods with more guaranteed quality. When the gap between China's weapons and equipment and the United States-led world advanced level is too large, there is no willingness to speculate on the topic of theft, because no one will believe it. And now China's equipment technology is getting closer and closer to the world's advanced level, and the speed of improvement is so fast that it is inevitable that others will punish the mouth of the fast. But it's hard to fool the educated people. In the U.S. speculation that Chinese agents showed up at the crash site of the helicopter that killed Osama bin Laden, the U.K.'s Jane's Defense Weekly editor-in-chief Phil Stead pointed out that China was able to crack top U.S. stealth technology with just a photo and a little coating sample. He said there was nothing unusual about the fuselage of the downed U.S. helicopter, and that the key component with a fairly high-tech level was the engine, which China could not study if it just looked at the fuselage. He also said that during the Cold War, both the United States and the Soviet Union have claimed that their military secrets were "stolen", but many times they were singing empty city tricks, more to show off their latest level of military research, or simply to scare each other. So the U.S. accusation of promoting China's technology theft is, in the end, a war of public opinion between countries. And as long as the U.S. technology has been ahead of China, then the U.S. rumors will still have a market and believers. So the only thing China has to do now is to catch up and go beyond, beyond the United States, the rumors will have no basis to stand on.

Correction to Binkov, J-10CE being displayed at military expo only in 2020 and up for sale only in 2021 when WS-10B engines are widely available. J-10C was under prototype stage in 2019. Earlier, China was in a hurry to build enough engines for their own air force new fighters & replacing worn off AL-31 rebuilding the J-11A with totally new frame & avionics upgraded into J-11D & J-11DS. JF-17 block 3 will receive WS-13 engines when it completed trials, China wanted to make them reliable therefore all the new engines are required to be tested to the limit exceeding years of non-stop running before entering mass production.
A lot of their domestic engine supply is also going into J-20s, the AL-31 underperforms in the J-20 the plane was designed around Chinese built engines that don't exist yet.
The J-20 will be impressive once the engine issue is sorted though, it's already considered better than the SU-57, and comparable to the F-35 (nothing can touch the F-22 in the air superiority role).

Korea is already a global top 10 arms supplier for warships, jet trainers, AFVs and its famed K-9 self propelled howitzer recently adopted by Australia, Poland, India, Norway… Japan because of its bloody expansionist 20th Century past has strict constitutional prohibitions and controls on arms exports. As expected from their tech and automotive industries, both countries produce excellent materiel for use in their own respective large domestic markets and are preparing home-grown fifth generation fighter aircraft to complement the incoming F35s, plus a new generation of fixed wing adapted helicopter carriers and also purpose built true flat top aircraft carriers. 🤷🏾♂️🇬🇧
Japan's (US drafted) constitution prohibits sales of Japanese made military hardware. S. Korea is beginning to make its mark as a weapons supplier and is likely to grow quickly.
As you can see, every component of each weapon needs to be supported by an industrial system. South Korea exports a lot of weapons, but the core components are provided by European and American military enterprises. Due to historical and political reasons, the cost of Weapons made in Japan is very high and the cost performance is very low.
While it could be said that the Chinese aerospace industry is kind of "rejected" by the world, the Chinese naval and land export market tells a whole different story. Speaking navally, smaller Chinese surface combatants such as the type 056As corvette and bigger 071E LHDs have hugely popular especially against third world countries with their strong capabilities and friendly budget. The same thing can be said for the southasian market for submarines, which is purely dominated by a high low Chinese combination of 039B AIP submarines and older 035s, with china selling more than 15 units in just the last 5-10 years. Chinese land equipment market goes even further, ranging all the way from heavy armors such as the VT-4 and VT-5s to the vastly bought amphibious viecles such as the type 08s and ZPD 05s. In this case, buyers are not limited to just Asia and Middle East but spread all the way to Europe and the Americas, which consists not only of poor third world countries but also filthy rich 1 world ones.

Onboard electronics of newer, say type-056 corvettes and type-054AE frigates are top of the line (at least taking into consideration their price), that's how the Chinese military shipbuilding industry has gained such loyal buyers (Thailand, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Algeria etc) who choose to equip their main surface combatants purely/mainly of Chinese ships, also buyers whom have lasted for more that half a century. Good price, easy maintenance and long durability are the key selling points of Chinese ships. Just to give you an example, the Shanghai class gunboats (type 062), small hundred tonned crafts with an age older than you grandparents, are still in service with more then 10 countries today. Fall apart? probably after the entire US fleet does loll
China doesn't export that many weapons and it Imports more weapons than it sells. That means either the quality or the production rate is not good enough for the Chinese military.
@God's Creature Yes yes, "inducted frigates", you must be an absolute naval expert to say that. The ship you are talking about is the BNS Bangabandhu, a frigate built by Korean shipbuilding firm Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering, which was used from 1999-2002 and was decommissioned after two years of service due to severe technical problems. The Chinese frigates you may be talk about are the two second hand Chinese type 053H3 frigates wihich had problems of fire control system as well as in the helicopter fuelling and defueling systems due to their age. The very reason why the Bangladesh navy bought those ships were because they were very satisfied with the ship´s "ancestor" the 053H2. And yes, the Bangladesh navy was so dissatisfied afterwards that they ordered another two second hand 053H3s, four more 056AEs corvette and 10 more Durjoy class ships.
@@SelfProclaimedEmperor Easy reason, most western weapon producers (BAE, Loheed, Ratheon) are all private contractors/companies putting production and sales as their no.1 priority while Chinese weapons manufacturers are all state own companies working at the states political interest. This has nothing to do with quality or quantity. Most Chinese sales if you realize, serve more of political goal (and a ground for weapon testing) rather than a financial one. What does the sales of some million dollars to a third world country mean to the second biggest economy in the world? However, the relations build behind those cheap deals are what matters. There is not much of a reason for china to push too much it's export market while production and exports may basically determine the live and death of western weapon manufacturers.

Thus why I said is only buy it with a 30 day return policy to make sure what they’re selling me isn’t a complete piece of garbage.
@@deleqtronica8733 Yes, I did not read that carefully. That 'and' was a pretty important qualifier. I would've completely retracted my statement had I seen the highest standards factories that produce super products not lose in Afghanistan. What good is F-22 or F-35 or high standard factories that produce such hardwire worth when a man sitting on a donkey resists US occupation and these high end products fail to deliver victory - in any field not just air power? I heard defense experts give pivotal role of air force, jets or air crafts in delivering victory in a war. Suppose, high end manufactured war planes claim fully superiority over a credible enemy in a hypothetical war but then to lose to an enemy AFTER it has turned to Afghanistan, i.e, no air force to speak of, renders that air superiority, high end factories design and make narrative unimpressive. I think it is naive to underestimate a man's resolve and China has a resolve even if their factories and hardware may not be up to par. Technology can not fill moral strength needed to win any war. Occupying forces never have the moral strength - human history will confirm this. I have graduated putting faith in material engineering to moral 'engineering' being more important. Because, when I asked myself this, will I only fight for my life and nation if I have super weapons when someone more powerful and technologically advanced enemies comes face to face with me and my nation or will I fight because I believe in my Cause? It helped me gain perspective. So reducing any country's defense hardware to come with 30 day money back guarantee is also not a wise decision. Because in the end we are walking among ghosts as everything we experience will perish. What are we fighting for ultimately? Ideas that decay and die or ideas that live forever? In this are signs for those who reflect. Thank you my friend - it is a pleasure chatting with you.

I think the nations that are wealthy enough to buy fighter jets will simply buy from either western or russian manufacturers. China's aerospace engineering isn't internationally proven, but it might change over time. the thing is, with the way air combat evolves, the nations that rise up probably will skip fighter jets alltogether for fleets of drones. the paradigm shift in air dominance was proven in the nagorno karabakh conflict where a moderately powerful military of Azerbaijan managed to have full aerial dominance over Armenia with mostly cheap drones. so why even waste so much money on airfields, training and fuel for fighter jets if you can just do it for so much cheaper with drones?
This ignores the fact that Armenia had little to no electronic warfare capabilities. Currently drones are extremely vulnerable to modern EW equipment, this was shown when Iran captured an American RQ-170 BY hijacking it and forcing it to land.
It wasnt proven at all. Armenia lacked both the fighter jets as well as modern Anti-air network. Its defence was mostly outdated by 30 years and irregular, all that against modern drones.

I disagree that China has no use for the JF-17. They think they don't. But a modern 4th or even 4th+ gen aircraft that is cheap to produce and maintain could have sped up replacement of the nearly useless J-8 squadrons. It could have served as a potent home land defender both air and ground. It's low cost could have increased the number of aircraft capable of using modern weapons available over the Homeland by a substantial amount. China is copying the U.S. military and doctrine, and as a result they are thinking offensively. But if war breaks out in the Pacific they will be under attack directly, and possibly from many directions. Having inexpensive modern multirole fighters available in large numbers would definitely be an asset in such a situation. While "quality" matters alot. Once at a decently even level of technology Stalin's old saying still has merit.
There aren't that many j-8 left though, and def not gonna be send out in active war or conflict (at least in initial stages, if there do get full air dominance they might get send out i suppose)
Makes sense. Weapons of Death should have a balance of performance, quality, accessibility, and price. In today's time... we shouldn't need to fully deck a single plane that might be shot down within a few minutes during time of war. Imagine having 5 planes vs 10+ with 70~80% of it's capabilities. Imo all weapons are considered as disposable and shouldn't be over invested into.
The more expensive plane to procure isn’t actually more expensive, not when the cheaper competition has a higher likelihood of loosing both the plane *and* the pilot who costs more to train than the plane does.
Tell that to the expensive F-15 with its kill-to-loss ratio of 104-0, or any stealth fighter. The bigger issue is planes becoming obsolete and never being used since war is exceedingly rare these days. When war does happen, you HAVE TO WIN, and fighters (and attack subs) are the apex predators that determine the outcome. That's why the outsize investment is worth it. They are literally war-winning weapons.
Egypt is a good middle-ground country for East v West comparisons. Before 1980, Egypt bought Soviet military hardware almost exclusively, with occasional European purchases, too. After 1980, Egypt bought american military hardware almost exclusively, for at least 20 years. In the last 20+ years, however, Egypt has bought some american hardware, but has seemed to prefer buying Russian jets over american ones. In point of fact, the american government has directly instructed the Egyptian government that is CANNOT purchase Russian jets any more, since the sanctions on Russia are now in place and if Egypt DOES make these purchases, Egypt will and be sanctioned. Regardless, the fact that in 2022, Egypt wants to buy Russian jets instead of buying more american ones is a very telling fact and one that I think should be borne in mind when comparing military hardware. Now that China is looking for buyers, it's possible that Egypt might be forced to purchase Chinese jets since it can't get the Russian ones and doesn't want the american ones.

Lately the operators of Chinese drones are returning them or canceling their contracts, much to Turkey’s delight. The Chinese drones didn’t integrate well with the rest of the battle management systems. Turkey has found a sweet spot in the market being able to pretty much deal with all comers and they have a complete competent array of products that integrate well. The US has also altered some of their restrictions, possibly because of Turkish success, and is once again broadening their customer base.Russia is only now starting to integrate drones and offering exports. A drone is much more than a winged asset, it has to function across numerous lines to be fully valued.

China does not want to conduct research behind closed doors, but the United States prohibits China from accessing any advanced technology. The United States leads the West in imposing the strictest technological blockade on China. And Russia is not happy for China to learn away its few advanced technologies. The only reason Eastern military products are bought in the first place is because of a countries inability to buy Western product's for political reasons or budgetary constraints.
I always assumed there were two schools of thought The countries which wanted to pay top dollar to get the “best” equipment Would buy American. Everyone else bought Russian. Chinese buyers were like the leftovers.
The fighter jet market in a nutshell. Those privileged enough to be in the exclusive club buy the latest and the greatest from the Americans. Those outside the club who still want top quality buy French, German, or Swedish. Russian jets occupy the bargain bin, and dumpster divers buy Chinese.
The list of Russian buyers reads like a meeting of the Desperado Club. If you can't afford American, you're going to get French or some other European. You only get Russian if your country is ruled by people in big hats.
The main reason is majority the buyer in the world are adapted to either the Russian system or the U.S system. If you want to buy the Chinese jet, it is not only the jet, you will have to replace your whole system such as training/maintenance/communication/data link etc. etc.
Then what about French jets? They sell pretty good
@Conk because the majority of the countries in the world don't speak Chinese
Almost all of the Chinese jets are just copies of Russian designs, with the exception of J-10 which is based loosely on a canceled Israeli project and the newer indigenous J-20 and J-31. If you can fly and maintain a Su-27, you can fly and maintain a J-11.
@@MeanMachine1992 there are more than just flying and maintence issue. They are data link, radar intergral and a lot more.
Recently Pakistan has bought 24 of them

Just like the Soviet Union and their "amazing" jets.
Another point, AF is getting increasingly expensive for many countries. On the other hand, CN sell much more UAV/drones, which is much more affordable, consumable and replaceable.
Puke in, puke out...China is caught in a miserable rout.
there's a saying, the 21st century fighter will be a single airframe that is capable of doing everything, from close air support, air dominance, heavy strike, bombing and stealth.
It'll be so expensive that there'll only be 1 airframe, the Navy gets to use it in the morning, the Airforce in the afternoon, and the Army in the evening.
Those same drones then send military data back to China.

if they want to sell fighter jets, they would only sell their used and old fighter jets, the new modern jets are still replacing their aged fleet of jets, any exports would definitely slow down the replacement timeline.

The problem with reverse engineering is the lack of nuanced knowledge one gets from doing the development.
Thank you for your support
@@Austrian-Painter-88 they did send their brains to western colleges for a reason though

Their own weapons are foreign supplies assembled together.
7:30 The variant J-10C is actually using a domestic engine WS-10B, not AL-31F any more
While it could be said that the Chinese aerospace industry is kind of "rejected" by the world, the Chinese naval and land export market tells a whole different story.
In this case, buyers are not limited to just Asia and Middle East but spread all the way to Europe and the Americas, which consists not only of poor third world countries but also filthy rich 1 world ones.
its not rejected. chinese K8 and older J-7s sell like hot cakes. and the videos explains the other factors why the chinese 4th gens aren't sold widely.

@God's Creature Articles? No idea what you're talking about mate.

You'd be hard pressed to find electronic device or components of it NOT made in China. The HP laptop I am using is from China, the mouse, the keyboard, iPhone, PC speakers, my PC monitor, and whole array of items I am looking at as I type, yep, Made In China.
@@kewlbeans9905 if you read carefully, I said designed in China in combination with them building it. Western companies hold their Chinese factories to higher standards so although I don’t like buying made in China if I can, I’m also aware enough that it’s not possible to buy nothing made from China.

Facts
i think is made in India🤣🤣
That isnt gonna happen with karger nations with more spread out airfields that are actually defended.
This ignores the fact that Armenia had little to no electronic warfare capabilities. Currently drones are extremely vulnerable to modern EW equipment, this was shown when Iran captured an American RQ-170 BY hijacking it and forcing it to land.
True thats probably why Chinese drones are pretty popular while traditional systems are ignored for the most part.
All that conflict proved was that you need EW capabilities and decent SPAAG to not get curb stomped by cheap drones.
It wasnt proven at all. Armenia lacked both the fighter jets as well as modern Anti-air network. Its defence was mostly outdated by 30 years and irregular, all that against modern drones.

The A-10 is very overrated though

Absolutely true. The best testing ground is: the warzone. Those weapons in any form won't even 2 mins

And?
