Due to Sophitia having a shard of Soul Edge in her from the battle with Cervantes in Soul Edge/Blade, her daughter (Pyrrha) inherited some of that evil energy. This is what makes her a perfect host for Soul Edge in Soulcalibur 5 and why Tira kidnaps Pyrrha in Soulcalibur 3. After being threatened by Tira, Sophitia sets out to destroy Soul Edge once and for all.
The ending shown is the input ending.
Why does she fight her sister inside a burning building let alone at all?
