You are awesome 👌!! This recipe worked out phenomenal for a bachelor. This is the first casserole I've attempted and it came out great. I followed it step by step other than adding a little bit more cheese 🧀at the end. Thank you awesome lady from UA-cam!

This looks so yummy! It was nice to watch a recipe being made vs. having to hunch over my computer and read all the instructions! Great job! I'm hoping to start a coffee chat on my blog! You've given me inspo!!

That sounds good,I don't usually have casseroles as a food but, every now and then when my mom makes casserole, she would make some spicy Green bean casserole that's not super spicy but you can taste it. It's great.

Four years my aunt would make this for Christmas and I thought my entire life that she had the best recipe in the planet and I was gonna Wenday get her recipe and I never could remember to ask her and then finally I'm 29 by the way so you know I waited all this time just to get the recipe and finally a couple years ago I said alright I've been wanting to know how you make this and she said oh it's on the back of a orida potatoes bag end it's nothing special I just follow the recipe I swear and I was like what!? I was flabbergasted that this whole time I thought I was waiting for some special recipe and it was just off the bag of potatoes but also the one thing that the recipe calls for that is not in this video is to add one and 1/2 cups cornflakes I assume that means cornflakes cereal so I always use regular plain non-flavored cornflakes and since I'm gluten-free I get gluten-free ones that don't have any honey or sugar or frosting and you add 4 tablespoons of melted butter and you mix it in a little ball and then once the cornflakes are combined with the butter really well so that every single flake is covered in liquid butter then you pour that on the top it doesn't really say when in the cooking process do you add those but I tried it once at the very beginning when I was mixing everything up and the cornflakes got really mushy so I waited till the last five minutes before I was done cooking because the recipe says one hour she says 45 minutes in the video but the recipe originally calls for one hour so I waited till the last five minutes and then I mixed the stuff together and poured it on top and that seemed to be amazing but you don't have to do anything like one person said their grandmother or mom or whoever had put fried onions so it just depends how you like it or don't like it you can put nothing like in a video but I thought I would share that their recipe on the back of overrider potatoes says country potatoes even though no one else calls it country potatoes and if you Google country potatoes you're not gonna find it because country potatoes are like regular potatoes seasoned with Italian spices and what not under potatoes do not have this recipe I don't know why it says that but that's what the bag says it's actually cheesy potato casserole and yes the bag does say one and 1/2 cups cornflakes and 4 tablespoons butter on top for crunch and it also says one hour but I don't remember if the woman in this video used 2 pounds as my recipe says or if she just used 1 pound meaning one bag it might take less time if you're only using 1 pound of potatoes

My boyfriends mom makes these and she adds classic lays on the top. SOOOOO good. I’m looking for a good cheesy potatoes recipe to make my own and add his moms trick of the lays. Just so he can have since he barely goes home.

I make one that tastes just like Cracker Barrel's hash brown casserole. It's much like yours but it doesn't have sour cream. I use a can of cream of onion soup and 1/3 can of cream of chicken soup and Colby instead of cheddar. Without the sour cream, it's drier and crunchier.

Trying this tonight. The only diced potatoes I could find in the market were potatoes O'Brien. Can't hurt anything, right!?! Will be back with an edit to share how it comes out ...
This was a horrible dish. It needs salt and pepper for flavoring the potatoes. Otherwise all you taste is sourcream and the onion flavor popped out here and there. I should have precooked these potatoes with onion in a frying pan, then added sourcream, soup and cheese.
I would have added 1/2 tspn of season salt, 1/2 tspn of garlic powder and about half a teaspoon of black pepper
This is just MY taste and clearly liked by others ... I suggest you taste after you add each item and see whats missing

You can use what you want or combine cheeses. Cheddar is what’s commonly used. Corn flake and butter are used for topping. Cover with foil for one half hour; uncovered for last 10 minutes.

Yeah I think. you can add milk to it if it is not creamy enough already. It may be a little runny more sour cream may make it more creamy without getting runny or soupy. Hope you enjoy the recipe.

I hate chefs or cooks when they leave some percentage of ingredients in their bowls (which mean they use less quantity than what they tell us plus waste the food). I hate people who waste food.
Look at and think of people who starve to eat one meal in two days.
Moronish cooks and chefs (only who waste food that can serve a stomach a meal at least). Us the hotels and restaurants that waste food are devil's kids.
