The white dahlia and white delphinium are just gorgeous additions to your garden. It just keeps getting better and more beautiful. The woodpeckers at the end were so cool. Great video.

So nice of you, thank you 🙏. Wildlife in the garden is as important to me as the plants even though I might have a moan every now and again I enjoy their presence every day 😊.

Sue, your white garden is so diaphanous with all of the different textures and layers and heights - just beautiful! The white dahlias are striking - they remind me a little of white basket flower, which is the white form of a native perennial here. I always enjoy seeing what you are doing in your garden. And those woodpeckers - what fun!

Thank you Lynn. I’m back working in the bog garden this week, quite repetitive just digging the ground but hopefully by the end of the week I’ll be adding new plants 😊

Dahlias and Cosmos were great choices to plant where it’s a struggle to keep perennials alive. The white garden is just enchanting. Sorry your weather has been so difficult this year. The gardens don’t look like they are suffering.

Yes it’s been an odd weather year, but it’s not just here many places around the world are having strange weather events too, I guess it’s what we all have to get used to now with climate change making an impact. I do love dahlias, I think it’s because of the number of different flower varieties and colours available there’s one for every spot in the garden. Thanks as always 🙏😊

I grow my own Dahlias, keeping over the previous seasons tubers. My greenhouse is not heated so I start them in our guest bedroom, 😆. All the furniture comes out, a waterproof tarp goes down on the floor and racks with grow lights are installed. Once it’s warm enough, I transfer them to the greenhouse where they finish growing and then into the gardens they go. It’s an awful procedure, but this way I have flowers in late June early July. Much earlier than if I plant the tubers direct in late May. Love your gardens and videos and hopefully your weather picks up soon. See you in the next video, Linda🇨🇦

Your garden is surreally beautiful and interesting! I also enjoy the music that you chose for the Woodpecker “vying for position” ending. Very comical!

I wish I had noisy birds in my garden, they're lovely!

A lot of us seem to have plants wrongly labelled this year Sue. Frustrating when you have a specific colour scheme. I shared some so called mixed lily bulbs with my sister-in-law and they've all turned out to be yellow! Your garden is looking as stunning as ever and it was so good to see the Woodpeckers. I've had some Crows visiting my bird feeders and they're real thugs scaring off all the smaller birds.

It’s a strange one, I often have an odd dahlia which is the wrong colour but to have more than half the order wrong is annoying. As for the seeds it’s frustrating, to spend so much time and energy growing them, for them to be all the wrong colour is disappointing. A family of magpies are the nuisance birds for me this year, I’m forever chasing them and the grey squirrels which are so cunning. They even go through the cat flap in to the shed then flip the swing bin where I store the seeds and nuts and feast the night away, unbelievable.

Your flowers are beautiful! I really wish we could share our weather. We have barely had any rain and we have been in the 90’s with high humidity. I love delphiniums and fox gloves. I just cut mine back today. I have a lot of marigolds, because they withstand the drought. I think I might try cosmos next year.

I agree, weather share is a good idea 👍. I would love a spell of dry weather our forecast is for wet weather again for the next two weeks but hot humid weather, I would melt. Cosmos does grow well in my climate, even in the south of the UK where it is often hot, dry and sunny it flourishes so it might be a good one for you to try. Thanks for watching 😊
