High Speed Pursuit (130+ MPH) on Chevy Tahoe - Chaos on the Memphis Bridge slamming into vehicles

- Trooper's Report:
On Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at approximately 8:59 P.M. the West Memphis Police Department received a call in reference to
an accident near 714 Ingram Boulevard (Citgo). Prior to WMPD arrival, dispatch advised the white Chevrolet Tahoe involved in
the accident was leaving the scene and the other vehicle involved (a silver Chevrolet Camaro) was following it. Dispatch
advised the vehicles entered Interstate 40 traveling eastbound toward Memphis, TN. At approximately 9:07 P.M., West
Memphis Police Officer D. Little 260 advised he located the silver Camaro and the white Tahoe near the 281-mile marker on
Interstate 40. Officer Little attempted to conduct a traffic stop with the vehicles and the white Tahoe (displaying AR LPN:
1DNHT) disregarded his emergency lights and siren and began to flee.
At approximately 9:08 P.M. I (Trp. Dylan Evans) assisted with the pursuit and took over as the primary vehicle near the 284-
mile marker of Interstate 40. I observed the vehicle weaving in and out of traffic at a speed of more than 120 miles per hour
showing no regard for the safety of the motoring public. I was unable to conduct a TVI on the vehicle due to the heavy traffic.
At 9:09:06 P.M. I terminated my pursuit by deactivating my emergency lights and siren at the Tennessee State Line on
Interstate 40. The Tahoe continued to travel eastbound at a high rate of speed into Tennessee. I observed the Tahoe strike a
silver Mazda 6 (displaying TN LPN: BKY9038) and then strike the side of a Volvo Semi (displaying OK LPN: 3JM855). The
Tahoe was disabled in the center traffic lane approximately 1 mile east of the Tennessee State Line. The driver (Keith Burns)
was removed from the vehicle and placed into custody. The airbags deployed on the Mazda and the Tahoe, so EMS was
called to render aid to both drivers.
TDOT cleared the interstate and all the vehicles as well as the drivers were moved to the Welcome Center on Bass Pro Drive
to wait for Memphis Police Department and EMS. While speaking with Burns, I could smell the strong odor of intoxicants
coming from his breath and person. Burns was released on citation due to being transported to the Regional One Hospital. All
vehicles and subjects were released to the Memphis Police Department for the accident investigation.
When I ran Burns’ information his license returned suspended out of Arkansas. The insurance on the vehicle returned
unconfirmed. Burns was charged with the following: reckless driving, fleeing, driving while license suspended, and no

@deanchristian9008 what was racist about any of that description?

Black Lives matter and ONLY Black Lives Matter. All others must pay them reparations. NOT!!
But but they were chasing him & he was scared & they made him speed & hit those vehicles.

People who do that should lose their driving privileges in all 50 states and everywhere else forever!
Yes, but would it stop them from doing it? No it will not. Putting them in prison for a decade or more will. And force them to pay for public service announcements about what happens if you run from police.

Dude was home free and he still messed it up smh
Just because he crosses state lines doesn't make him home free. Tennessee cops can easily pick up the chase.
@@Hawkeye-zp8bv That has been mentioned and for an Arkansas traffic violation they arent going to assist. In the case of a serious felony pursuit Memphis PD likely would get involved but still avoiding a high speed pursuit in the downtown area.
@@Hawkeye-zp8bv It doesn't happen. Memphis has a very restrictive pursuit policy that even some of their city council members complain about because it lets too many criminals stay on the street.

I was surprised that they were letting traffic through behind the Tahoe before they cleared it.
Had to clear the bridge for emergency vehicles to reach the incident. Since it's too narrow for larger vehicles to turn around they had to let them through.
@@amzarnacht6710So they let them drive directly in their line of fire? The emergency vehicles could have waited until the suspect was apprehended. Never let civilians be in your line of fire. Never!

Criminals ALWAYS threaten to sue! They never do because they are too busy spending time in jail.
I love these videos -- a constant reminder of how DIVERSITY IS OUR STRENGTH! WOOOOOHOOOOO!
Nearly 150mph in traffic.. balls so big, you could sink a cargoship with that weight!
Trooper was going so fast, it made all the other cars look like they were stopped!!
That was some epic driving on the part of the Arkansas State Trooper.
Oh, look. It's these people again.
i must say..those cops of the same "colour" did a sterling job, "extracting" him from his (self) wrecked car.
That charger rips.
I don't think I have seen 149mph before. Some very impressive driving.
Probably thought he was home free and looked back
Him - "I gonna sue you." Me "Pull your pants up fool."
That trooper is a Big Ole Boy!
The cop that cuffed him up has a cool hairdo! That looks so cool!
I bet because he made it to Memphis, he was left no charges in the end. What a weak system between those two States! Where I live just north of there the chase goes on!
Really sad Tennessee will not work with Arkansas. I wonder if its the same with the other states around them?
interesting question......must be all those lefty musicians over in memphis....
Trooper has a lot of confidence in those tires and suspension. The way he was switching lanes rapidly at 149mph, I wouldn't want to do that in my Mazda3 hatch at 120 even with torque vectoring AWD. Better handling car and weighs less than 3200lbs on Pirelli P Zero AS Plus tires, far superior than the Goodyear RSA cops are using in their 5000lbs (4300lbs plus equipment and partition cell) behemoth.
You can see his front tire breaking traction due to weight transfer :55 , right to left at 138 mph. Balls of steel.
In my whole life, I’ve never heard someone say, 19 wheeler
Bravo, Mike
Not only did they give that Bad Boy a Blue Beatdown, they pantsed him on camera.
another rocket surgeon knocked down by the mean poolease. idgit was free, he made it! but he blew his wad and wrecked his way to the slammer. mama be proud of her little man.
Trooper Evans was rolling!! I don't know what to say about the perp... 😂😂😂
Great videos and awesome channel! Could we see some New Jersey cams?
Thank you!
Even when the ASP terminates a pursuit, it ends!
From the trooper's report:
"While speaking with Burns, I could smell the strong odor of intoxicants coming from his breath and person."
"Burns was charged with the following: reckless driving, fleeing, driving while license suspended, and no insurance"
Did they breathalyze him, or would that be the responsibility of TN law enforcement since the accident happened across the state line? If he were found to be over the limit, could/would he be charged for DUI in both states?
You gotta let me go since I made it across the state line.
New Marc Cohn song; Wrecking in Memphis.
What "VCSU" stand for (on the back of their shirts) ? I can't read it.
lol they literally just gave up the chase and buddy could of chilled but instead he went full send for no reason. 😂
130mph+ ? Actually 1mph off 150 mph! That would have been a better title.
.....OH...look who it is.
Well well well
what have we got here........or better still...."now, what's all this about then....??"
3:08 You do not see many Mercury Topaz' on the road anymore.
Well, lookit that... I win the bet AGAIN?! Funny how I almost always seem to know who's driving.
Just wondering: what is VCSU??
This guy is blowing and going down the highway like he’s some superhero… endangering the lives of innocent people and he has the bawls to act like a victim? 😑🤬 God bless these, and all of our first responders. 🩷
Either their roads suck or they don't have a stabilized camera.
“I’m going to suit ya’ll”
For what? Catching you?
Now he's has charges in two different states 😂
The ironic thing about Tennessee not allowing police to chase criminals into their state is it borders the most states, which are 8- a small section of Missouri, Arkansas, Mississippi (I have a small amount of land near Iuka), Alabama (where I’m from), Georgia (basically my second home only 45 mins away from this part of AL), North Carolina, Virginia, and Kentucky. Maybe they want criminals to hide there and have a vacation. Idk. It’s money I guess.
Is it the whole state or just Memphis?
1:00 That's a lot of coffee!
Surprise! The driver was a non-swimmer.
