Hey, how is the oil consumption? Did you find a fix? Did this solution fix it? I read on a forum they have 1 piece oil scraper rings from factory on N14. Question. I have an N-14 09 MCS. I want to add a second catch can for the low idle side. How do I install the IN side of the can. The out Side comes from the left of the valve cover. The inside comes from the right side underneath the air box. How do you connect the inside.
Okay to add to my questions before, what I want to do is block of hole going in to intake manifold and then put a catch can to atmosphere with filter on idle side of PVC and then put another catch can on turbo side and do what you have done there. Would that make more sense, because I can see me doing the other way the pvc would have all sorts of pressures problems I'm guessing it won't know to open or close because it would have pressure from both sides. @@ProjectMini Thank you so much for that. I guess is there really any negative effect in doing that. It's still sucking out of PVC. Very nice work and helpful advises. Just as an idea, I would like to share, what I did. Maybe you would like the Idea. I bought a budget 3-way-OCC (2 x In and 1 x Out). The hole in the intake tract, where the Idle-Out would normally go, I closed with the respective OEM cap. This way I only need one can and one hose less. The blowby coming out the idle-valve is not that much, so you wont have to empty the can much more often than now. Furthermore you have to empty only one can and not two. Regards from Germany.

How often do you have to empty the cans? I installed pretty much the same setup (thanks for the video by the way 🙂) last week and I’ve checked them twice. 4 days after install the back one was almost full and the front one had was at about 20%. 3 days later the back one was about 75% full and the front one was at about 10%. I only drove about 40kms (25 miles) per day. I definitely wasn’t expecting them to fill up so quickly. Almost all of the liquid was dirty looking water in the back one and the front one was mostly water with a bit of oil. Just wondering if this seems consistent with yours. Thanks. 👍
It’s been filling up fast since it got cold out. In the summer I emptied them every oil change but now i check them twice a week. It just started getting cold here so i don’t have a better answer for you
We’ve been in -5°c (about 23°F) and colder temps for a while now. Maybe that’s it. The catch cans will remain colder and will probably cause more condensation from the crankcase gasses. Makes sense to me. Too bad it requires more maintenance when it’s cold out. I would prefer to empty them in the summer. Thanks for the quick response. 👍
@talon8u I read in a few forum posts that once it gets cold you get more condensation happening, so you need to empty the cans more often. Once a week though seems pretty nuts.

Heater hoses kink....did you change them? Tnx
Michael Vanna these hoses are not bent enough to kink
Michael Vanna you were right, I switched to 3/4 fuel line that is much thicker 👍
@@ProjectMini if you notice the passenger side (vacuum side) AT IDLE, the hose still kinks, the secret to this is the good quality of the hose that is tough not to kink (again at idle)
Yeah, the 3/4 fuel line i got seems to be strong enough not to kink or collapse. It says its for pcv/eec and fuel
@@ProjectMini I am using 3/4" fuel line as well. Have you found any fittings that go into the catch cans that fit 3/4"? The fittings that come with the catch cans require the hose to be squeezed down onto the barb with the 3/4" hose.
Hi what size bracket r u use it? Small or large ? Thanks
There brackets are linked in the description
Good stuff
Upper one is really necessary? How about single?
Emre Aktas i explained why you need both at the start of the video
Brooooooo why is no one showing what they’re doing with there bonnet switch? All I wanna know is what to do with it as the van gets installed on the same bracket 😫😫😫
My car didn’t have anything in the spot I installed the cans
Sorry I just realised n14 and n18 are different
Cheers 🍻

Those prices are obscene, and ridiculous.
