Brother DAN! So humbled and honoured to get the mention from you! In the company of FortheBold no less! You are an outstanding example of the positivity and support that all creators need on this platform and it does not go unnoticed. I will certainly pay it forward given the chance. Ha ha the second I saw that bender I needed it....
Dude, You are more than welcome, I do it because you deserve it and nothing makes me happier than helping someone succeed :) Keep doing what you do and make your growing audience excited to keep coming back, you are at 350subs atm :)
I'm really liking this build right now. Great series so far.
Joseph Gleason thank you my friend I’m glad you are enjoying the videos
Hey Dan, nice meeting you today. Hopefully that new torch helps you out some. Whenever you are in town and need something, come see me and I'll try hook you up.😎
likewise Scott, I will probably take you up on that offer in the future :)
Hey Dan, thanks for taking the time and energy to make these videos. I just stumbled across your electrics tray videos and I'm going to have a crack at doing my own. Also thanks for the tip on the metal bending tool, I need this in my life! Great to see another Aussie making high quality YT content. Keep it up! Cheers

Great video again! Congrats! Now you can use the community function to post just text with a picture or something for instance when your next video will be up. Use it, it's really usefull! Regarding the bike: why not downsizing your harnas to a barebone instead of even thinking of a bigger electric tray...? And what goes in the tray? I can think of only: starter solenoid, main fuse and maybe a big old fashion blinker relais... 🤔
I haven't got the community tab just yet and not to sure why. In regards to the Tray and what I plan to put in it, the shorai battery, solenoid and maybe a flasher relay, and fuse If I can find a smaller solenoid It would help a lot. Thank you for your kind words brother
Great vids thanks for making them just bought a cb 400t cafe racer for a first project and I’m only 15 it’s tough don’t know where to start but just came along your channel which gave great inspiration and ideas
Hey man! Sick series! Building my own Kawasaki 1999 er5 cafe racer,. Was wondering about the triple tree\yoke\handle bar clamps. Are those aftermarket? They look pretty new and might need to refurbish the ones on my bike, was wondering on any tips?
Thank you Mark, I'm glad you like them, Ok my tip for you is here cognitomoto.com?aff=3 All the stuff I used on my Cb750 for the front end swap I got from them, Amazing quality and even better service. If they don't have exactly what you need they can also make custom for you. If you are talking about the scrambler in this video than I just sandblasted and painted them myself to keep budget down so I could complete the $1200 Scrambler Challenge. I will be upgrading the front end along with the brakes as soon as the challenge is complete so my advice is if you can afford it to upgrade defently do :)
I have a question... But first some insight on a little project of mine.
I want to build a cafe racer myself, and on a budget too, but by the looks of your work, isn't it better to buy one instead?
I mean, it looks like A LOT of work and time inverted into it, wouldn't it be better to just buy one finished?
(Sorry for bad english)
Yes its a lot of work but I love it and I love to help other guys building their own bikes and that's why I share my process by making weekly videos :) your english is perfect my friend
Love your videos on the cx500 iv just got a 79 one in not to bad condition and your videos are very informative learning a lot from then thank you.
Cómo se llama la herramienta del principio del minuto 0:57, no le entiendo. Porfavor
I'm doing a streetfighter build of a 09 Kawasaki versys. .. watching you with all your tools makes me jealous
The Car Radio Guy hi mate, that’s going to be an awesome build, in regards to my tools I’ve spent my entire life collecting tools from garage sales to needing to buy tools for jobs I’ve had and finding cheap tools online etc
I don’t drink much or smoke so my money going into my passion of building stuff and sharing the process with you on UA-cam. I hope the videos are helpful with your awesome build
HI Dan, enjoy your work learning lots and joining the dots and confidence to start the cb550 that's been staring at me in the garage.
One question, where do you purchase sheet metal and flat bar ..? hardware stores just seem to stock zinc, cheka plate, galvanized? etc
Go to a steel supplier and ask them for any off cuts
Can I lay down any battery on horizontal positivo?
Guess I missed something looks like you extended the rear end? Sorry for the silly question just an old guy trying to get ideas on building one and let me tell you I'm for from being a mechanic are fabricating stuff but something I wanna accomplish before I die 😁
Patrick Mcgee have you watched my other videos? I go into a little deep to explain what I’m doing so hopefully that helps you
Hey dude! how do you fit your electric components to your tray? Screw from below or weld studs?
Loving the vids, keep them coming!
Excellent work man. I really enjoy your videos, thanks for spending time shooting, editing and taking the time for share your work. I know how much more time that means. I'm making my second Cafe Racer, because the first one came up pretty nice! I'm now learning how to weld with TIG and bought the same bending and rolling before seeing them in your videos! funny. If you want to see the results of the first bike, check it on my channel, Its obviously not as good as your videos, but gets the idea. Again, Brilliant work. Cheers from Chile.
Thank you for noticing, its the small stuff that I add to my videos that I wait to see is anyone notices, you made a great video and I cant wait to see the next one your fab work is very neet :)
Hey, you make some great and helpful videos; thanks! Could you tell me the thickness of the stainless steel plate that you are using? Cheers
Love your videos i just started watching your channel you are very helpful i will be building a cafe racer or a scrambler within a year or two
9 months ago I was living on the street strung out on dope, pretty much eating out of garbage cans and stealing what I could to survive. Today, I got my driver's license back and have started my motorcycle license (it's winter in Northern Quebec and the roads still won't be ready for the final test for a few weeks), that said, I'm saving what little money I make to buy my first bike and watching you guys (you look like pretty normal guys working out of your garages) let's me believe that through the love of bikes and building and transforming them, any thing can be achieved. I really enjoy watching you guys do amazing work. It's inspriing!! Thank you!
Cy Lor im so glad you got back on your feet and doing well. Yes you can achieve a lot with very little as long as you first believe you can. Power to you brother 👍😊
@@CafeRacerGarage Thank you very much!!!
Doing an awesome job Dan!!! just curious how thick is the sheeting you make you electrics tray out of??
The link you provide to all of you materials is amazing. So helpful! Many thanks!
This bike would do a great cruiser bike build
Any lithium battery can go to bed?
Как называется эта программа ? 7:02
14,000 subs as of now. 986,000 to go. Keep up the good work.
I watch both those guys!
great video amigo
Seriosuly, 14k subscribers isn't anywhere near enough for this channel !!!! Another awesome vid 👍
You are so kind brother, thank you so much
Awesome! Congrats on the subscribers! 😀
And you are an inspiration to me! I'm really getting pumped up to get started with my project. Which compared to what most of you guys build is a toy but still going to be fun, a Yamaha dt50mx scrambler/tracker.
We're a group of friends that bought some old 50cc to have fun with. 😀
That is awesome, thank you so much, As long as you are having fun that's all that matters, you can have as much fun on a small bike as you can on a big bike :)
Also great job explaining things for us slow folks 😁
Love the work mate, looking really good mate!!!
Loving these videos, those pipes are bloody awesome mate, great work. The bike is looking great so far so I'm looking forward to watching the rest. Keep up the good work. Cheers, Mark.
Thanks so much mate it’s definitely looking good now after I’d finished it. It is actually on display in my lounge room believe it or not 😆
Just stumbled across your channel, it’s great to see an Aussie perspective on this work and what tools you use. It’s so hard finding tools for a reasonable price in Aus. Can I ask what welder you use?
Hey mate! Thanks for the comment. I've recently upgraded my welder, due to this one being so old and unable to keep up with my needs. I will soon be releasing a video where I show you my new welder, so great timing for you to be looking at options! My new one is a Cigweld welder, and I can honestly say it's awesome, I wish I had upgraded sooner! Stay tuned for some more details on it, I will be amazed if it doesn't blow your mind! Iv been welding for many years and never seen anything like this before.
Once again Dan another great video, congratulations on having over 10,000 subscribers you make fantastic and very well informative videos keep up the fantastic work mate 👍👍 ride safe
Thank you, my friend, I'm glad you are enjoying them, I have loads more to come :)
Just found your videos and been binge watching them dude, just amazing content and approach to this subject
That's awesome and that inspires me to do more so thank you for the comment and inspiration, are you building a bike yourself?
Great job mate
Hey man been watching the series of videos on this build and I love it! It's a great bike and I like what you've done with it. After watching your videos and seeing several others I've got some big plans in store for my bikes
That is awesome Dustin, I hope you share some pics on the Cafe Racer FB page of your builds for us all
Loving the videos, but please consider doing those of us listening with earbuds a favor and bring the music down a notch or two. 👍
Thank you, brother, and thank you for the feedback as well :) I do my best to adjust volumes correctly but some music can overpower more than others. Have an awesome day :)
You are genius!
Greatings from Poland
Congrats on smashing 10k, well deserved. I always look forward to your videos as I'm winding down the weekend!
Thank you Lachlan, Yes I try and post every Sunday or Monday but we do live in the future here in Australia lol 😁so its Sat or Sun for a lot of my Subscribers :)
Check out BMCO on youtube! He does some awesome motorcycle builds! Mostly scramblers.
He sure does :)
been watching for the bold for a long time now love his channel and the bikes he has been building. can't wait to see you bikes finished. keep up the work
Thank you Justin :) Yes he seems like a cool guy and I'm assuming he will get a surprise when he sees this video lol
Dark brown tank and brown set
Awsome stuff. QUESTION do you have any tips on getting rear tires inflated after mounting. I'm in a bit of a pickle all I have is a pancake compressor. I have already tried the starting fluid trick but dont want to blow my self up
Thank you mate, I would say that you just need more air to come out a lot faster, I'm not to sure if you have that ability so a local tire shop will probably do it for free for you :)
Thanks I reached out to a few of you guys out there got the same answer it was spot on got the tire filled with air . thank you have a awesome day .
Matthew Crandall I'm glad you got it sorted, sometimes not having the right tools but finding a way around it is what challenges us the most :)
C'mon man! So looking forward to see the final result!!
Amazing work so far, congrats!!
Thank you mate, Takes time and I'm not in a hurry, ;) Glad you are enjoying them :)
Sick build man, this is giving me lots of great ideas for my first scrambler build
That is awesome< hopefully you share it with me and send me some pics via Instagram or something :)
We watch your video in France 🇫🇷 good job and nice quality !
Merci, je suis heureux que tu aimes mes vidéos, j'espère qu'elles t'aideront, je télécharge chaque semaine et tu verras ma qualité s'améliorer à mesure que j'apprendrai plus de compétences en tournage et en montage :)
Greetings from Argentina, i really enjoy your videos, Nice work man!
Thank you for taking the time to drop me a nice comment Im so glad you enjoy them, Argentina wow, that is definitely a place Id like to visit :) where in Argentina would you recommend I check out?
Hey mate. What thickness sheet steel do you use?
Keep up the good work.
1.6mm on all the little boxes trays etc I've made, anything thicker would be overkill :) Thank you for your kind words. I have plenty more to come :)
Thanks for giving me a different idea for the mounting of my battery and electrics. I wanted to mount the battery under the swingarm, but as my build is a '81 Yamaha XS400 tracker/scrambler, I might yank it off somewhere while doing some dirt riding. I'm keeping the triangle design open behind the carb pods, so a tray under the seat will be an ideal solution. Keep up the good work. Mega greetings from South Africa.
Keep going
mohamedali p glad you are enjoying them :)
Great video as always, Dan. The tray came out great! Btw, is your occupation related to some of your skills you demonstrate so well on your videos? Greetings from HK this week!
🏍👍🏍
HK, Wow you get around lol in a good way haha I've had experience in many different areas, from boilermaking to carpentry, boat builder, engine rebuilding, mechanics on my own cars, online marketing, upholstery, just to name the ones i can remember, Kinda funny when I think about it because its all the skills I need to build bikes and build my YT channel :)
Cafe Racer Garage I just knew you had some serious well rounded skills and experience, Dan! (Actually am running from the typhoon and headed to S’pore.) Wish me luck!
Gary A that sounds fun but scary at the same time. What do you do for work that makes you Travel so much ?
Cafe Racer Garage ...insurance related stuff.
