Kevin Olusola is not only playing the cello, he is also beat-boxing the "drums". And doing a fantastic falsetto! Matt Sallee is proving the low bass notes, and a smooth, higher baritone for his verse. Scott Hoying (the tall blonde guy), besides killing it with his raspy "Baby!", takes the bass notes while Matt is singing. Kirsten Maldonado is using her powerful soprano, and vibrato. And then there's Mitch Grassi who led off the whole song with his unique tone, and beautiful tenor. Try their cover of "Shallow" for more beauty. Thank you Joolz!

Have you noticed that Pentatonix has published a LOT of Christmas albums? Well, so has Pentatonix. More specifically, Pentatonix has noticed that they're running out of Christmas songs they haven't already covered, but it's hard to break with tradition; they don't want to stop publishing Christmas albums. What to do, what to do? 🤔
Okay, obviously it was time to write some more Christmas songs. So Kirstin and Kevin came up with "Please, Santa, Please." Good. One down, how many more to go? THIRTY? Oh dear.
Well, obviously that isn't a complete solution. Time for a Google search. "Songs that talk about snow." Great! Let's add "Kiss From a Rose." Now we're down to twenty-nine. Drat! Okay, you know what guys? We're just going to have to make it a compilation album this year. We can call it "Greatest Christmas Hits."
Pentatonix has always included songs that aren't actually Christmas songs on their Christmas albums. These include "Hallelujah," "White Winter Hymnal" (a very strange song), "The Prayer," and "Prayers For This World." And, of course, in 2023 it includes "Kiss From A Rose."
Nice reaction. When a reactor is blindsided by Mitch's voice we call it a "Mitch slap." When it's Avi doing it we call it an "Avi-lanche." And when it's Kevin Olusola we call it a "KO." You've just received your first KO. Fun, isn't it? It's always nice when you realize that they're even better than you thought, and you already thought they were marvelous.
