I have an old spoon, about teaspoon size but the 'dish' is indented from behind in a small oval shape making the back of the spoon in that section concave and the front convex. The front looks a bit like a strainer but it's got no actual holes, as if it's been pricked several times but not pierced. Do you have any idea what this spoon would have been used for? If the holes were real I thought it would have perhaps been used for coffee to remove any excess bits, but I can't think what else.

I have a gold color spoon but nobody believes me is gold I say it is the spoon is a teaspoon and on the back says w m Rogers with an eagle in the beginning of the words and a star at the end I cannot find any info online I took it to one gold buyer and the man would not even human me and looking at it because he said he knows what he's talking about and it's gold plated so when I found the second one that I had and I have two now I decided to break wide open I broke one in half lo and behold it's gold all the way through if you could help me or know anything about them please feel free to let me know
