From the "Nobody Asked For This" file. This is supposed to be Ezekiel Sims, who isn't even a Spider-Man or an alternate universe version of Spider-Man. He had similar powers of Spider-Man, but gained them supernaturally and then set-up Peter Parker to pay the price for Ezekiel Sims usurping powers that weren't his to steal. At the last minute, Ezekiel saved Peter Parker, realizing that Peter was the better man. Ezekiel Sims was a multi-layered individual and he redeemed himself at the end of his story. Ezekiel Sims has NOTHING to do with Madam Web or the other Spider-Women and, from what I am seeing here, it looks like this movie is doing him dirty. I can only imagine the pitch meeting: It's the Evil White Male Patriarch Spider-Man coming to snuff out all the future Spider-Women, just because he's a President Trump supporter. Go with God and Be Safe from Evil. 😎 👍
Sounds like this movie is subverting all that comic arc of the character Ezekiel Sims, and the whole lore of "Madame Web". Last i remember wasn't' she supposed to be a senior citizen with like a neuro-muscular disease and can't move, like she's connected to this special web like device or something? I mean that's the comics i thought maybe this is meant to be a origin story for her.

I honestly take Dakota Johnson over Brie Larson. Brie I find so bland and boring and was just a stunt casting because she got the Captain Marvel role fresh off her Oscar win. Dakota however always has a charm to her that I like. Can't pinpoint it, but she has something to her that makes her more engaging.
I watched Morbius. I was looking forward to it but was not a fan of the film. I enjoyed the Morbius character in the comics he appeared in back in the 70s and 80s. I remember Madame Web being a lot older in the comics, so I am unsure what to make of the film. The 90s Spider-man animated series was brilliant and Morbius and Madame Web was featured, updating the storyline from the comics. It was very well done.
Nailed it 🖒 It's as though you've read my mind when saying it's more interesting than The Marvels. The movie seems to give off a Spider-Man meets Final Destination vibe. Dug both film franchises back in the early 2000's. So long as the SFX is done right.. motion capture / CGI as opposed to full CGI rubber / floaty heroes and villains. Given the trailer the movie seems worth the watch.
A lot of the effects looks to be practical. I'm looking at the director and she's done a bunch of TV shows as a sporadic director. Actually among her credits includes award nominations for her work on Netflix's Jessica Jones and Defenders. Hmmm...
You're doing yourself a favour by not watching Morbius. Morbius and Venom 1 are movies that I deem so bad, it's not funny, it's just forgettable. I legit cannot remember much of anything that happened in either movie and both movies have villains with similar powers whose names I can't remember or even how they got their powers. Venom 2 was a improvement in that I actually remember the story and characters and the character dynamics in that movie actually played a important plot point. Kraven honestly looks like it's going to be Venom 1 and Morbius level as it looks like they're using the typical "sinister six" route in that they're just going to give them Spiderman's origins and give them a generic superhero story afterwards. This I'm kind of cautiously optimistic about. The concept is unique enough to have potential and they didn't foolishly gave away what their storyline is. The fact the movie doesn't appear to be a CGI fest might also be a good indicator it's more character and story driven then normal. Plus I read the director after being added to production hired two other women to help her rewrite the story and script (it was originally by the Morbius writers!). This was well before the Morbius movie came out. So the fact she read the script and can tell it was bad (presumably considering the original writers), then had it rewritten is a good sign right? EDIT: Actually looked up the director more and see she's been nominated for a handful of awards including her work on Netflix's Jessica Jones and the Defenders. Again cautiously optimistic.

I agree that it looks a tad more interesting than the Marvels and I am also over the superhero era at the moment as there is a saturation of it. I will wait to watch it ( download it). I have heard comments that here we go again, another female centric movie.
Sony has, so far, had the best track record with recent superhero movies, in my opinion. True, they've had no masterpieces lately, but they've been consistently engaging - the 'Spider-Verse' movies, the 'Venom' flicks; even 'Morbius' is entertaining in a guilty pleasure sort of way. They put out interesting Spider-films, and this looks interesting, too - I'm looking forward to it.

It seems to in some way, reflect the spiderman universe so I'm only guessing it has something to do with that. Having said that, she seems to have a different gift than what I would expect of a spiderwoman so I'm somewhat confused. I just hope they don't pack it with a lot of woke nonsense or it will be a terrible failure as we are seeing with many movies today. For that, I guess I'll have to wait and see. ❤ The title makes it sound like the lead character is either old or the head of a brothel 😳 😂 Only good show on CW was most of ARROW and SMALLVILLE back in gather day IMO. So if it’s not even better than the best CW show judging from the clip, I will pass on this one for now keeping an open mind to see if the next trailer pulls me in

Going to be watching guardians of the Galaxy three on Blu-ray today in 5.1 sound. They really need to take a page out of James Gunn’s book and make a quality movie.

this is giving me cheesy CW vibes, like it was originally made as a tv show for Y/As. It feels like it's trying hard to be much cleverer than it really is, with all this Butterfly Effect meets Final Destination style. 3:19 atleast that one Spidergirl looked dank though still.
Outside of actual Spider-Man/Spiderverse movie's I've haven't been happy with the other Sony Spider-Man character movie's. Didn’t like Venom 1,2 haven't seen Morbuis and i think the box office would have been better for Kraven if the original release date was around the same time as the release of Spider-Man 2 videogame where Kraven plays a prominent role.

They really do seem to have money to throw around and waste. The trailer is weak and the dialogue was so useless. Michelle's reaction had more power.
