#sarkodie #nigerianmusic
Do yall agree?
That sark's answer was very intelligent and i totally agree with him
It starts with having Good music, then Everything else follows
ANIKULAPO FELA KUTI WAS THE FIRST NIGERIANUSIC WE HEARED here in SA
Ghana is doing great in Music but they always see Nigerians as competition. And of which, Nigerians never see any African country as their competitors not even the WEST because the world is now their focus.
💯🙏
💯 That is their biggest problem and downfall. They are always spying on Nigeria, thereby missing out on the little achievements that they have made.
Ghanaians are not doing great in music at all
Which nice music 🎶 has Ghana 🇬🇭? Can you please explain.☝️

Nigerian music is by far more advanced than Ghanaian music. Proudly Nigerian 🇳🇬💪
Suck your mother pounded yam eater
What is “Nigerian music” you mean the same AfrobeatS which is a combination of two Ghanaian sounds highlife and azonto that’s the Nigerian music you talking about? 😂
@@staytruealways207 Ghanaians dont even understand afrobeat...cant produce a single afrobeat artist that doesnt sound nigeria and yet claim ownership...azonto is a dance not a genre mr man🤣🤣🤣..we had afrobeat before the dance ask tuface
@@staytruealways207are u ok? Fuji, traditional Yoruba music and igbo music is Nigerian music 😂. Secondly that azonto sound was stolen from us 😂. We had a lot of Nigerian artistes giving us similar sounds in the 00s😂

It's because Nigerians are all over the world... It makes sense that their music travels with them
Basically 💯
And the fact it’s just better in general wan overall more professionally handled.😂
Do you know how many Gjanians are there in Germany?
Stop crying it's also because our music is far better than Ghana music
@@pudding164 haha
Sakodie don’t you get tired of talking about Nigeria music in all your interviews
This is not recent I think 😹
He answered what was asked, get over it
Stfu. He was asked a question..
Did he begin to talk / he was asked a question to answer 😂
What else is there to talk about?
Nigerians have always like their things. Be it their movies, food, music. I agree with him
Ghanaians still have a long way to go, South Africa and congo are still above ghana.
Lmao Congo una 😹
R u dreaming ?
A million miles ahead of Ghana
@@Afro-Prime so you don't know or you want to live in denial, DRC, SA music dominate their various regions in Africa and also cut across unlike ghana music that is struggling in it comfort zone
Foolish talk no sense
In my opinion, music is all about promotion and awareness, and Nigerians have excelled at doing exactly that. When we look back at the time when Hip Hop was an underground genre, the pioneers globally promoted it and brought it to the forefront. Similarly, Nigerians have successfully promoted Afrobeats, putting it on the map and making it a well-known and popular genre.
It's only one factor. The quality of the artists is downplayed here. I can give an example. Amapiano in South Africa has developed or attracted the kind of talent that made the genre the biggest in popular culture. There have been other dance genres but production was lame and musicians relied in European music an beats.
Ghana should called their music Afrobanku like Nigeria 🇳🇬 Afrobeats
This is kinda true
Yeah, pretty much
This man is smart as hell
Ghanaianas be proud of Nigeria as Nigerians are proud Ghana. We can do it together and make Africa proud without bashing and conspiracies.
Thank u King Sark
My question is, what is it that Ghanaians sees, holding a conversation without mentioning Nigerian? We be una mate?
You're so true saddy
You taIk will brother
facts
Yeah
Bro what the host said is the exact problem, Ghanaians can never transcend musically because Everything is geared towards the local audience and everything is twi twi twi, you have to mix it up a bit so you don’t alienate outside listeners and even our beats need some modernization itself which Nigerian have already done because todays Afrobeats is highlife and azonto put together
Even in Nigerian music, they mix English with yoruba or Igbo but not as often. Majority of the time, they will use pidgin which is kind of easier for others to get because it’s broken English. I’m British Ghanaian and proud to be Ghanaian. Our music is more often mixed with Twi and pidgin which makes it harder for them to be understood.
Why are you lieing when did anzoto came by the way anzoto is a title of song if you don't know stop claiming
Afrobeats existed way before Azonto. Afrobeat did not derive from any Ghanaian music genre, you guys keep coming up with sneaky ways of discrediting Nigeria's achievement with the creation and success of Afrobeats.
What hes getting at is pride. From my time in ghana eye can say that ghanians are not inherently as proud to be ghanaian as nigerians are about their nationality. Nigerians set the trend, whilst ghanaians as a culture are still looking to thr oitside for validation. Just my observation. Eye think twi is a beautiful language. And trust me as americans we dont know whay they saying in half the nigerian songs either. But we listen just the same. Imagine how many ppl dont understand english, but still bop american music. Its because it soinds good + the clout of being adjacent american culture (infliential) thats been created. If ghanaians hype up their country from all corners of the globe, then the music will spread.
Ghana music has not even gone Africa.
Now you are just being unrealistic. Ghanaian music definitely reach Africa. Apart from Nigeria, no country is doing better music than Ghana. Even with Naija, it’s still debatable
@@Afro-Prime 🤣🤣where are the songs ? the only music that is dominating Africa right now is amapiano south Africa and afrobeat Nigeria. which Ghanaian song dominating Africa? Ghana songs does not even have any identity. You yourself can identify SA music, Nigeria music and even cogo music. Ghanaians sing sometimes we calling them Jamaicans. We call camido Nigerian. no uniqueness no noting . u don't know anything about music my brother. Just continue your hardworking then .
Identity una. Lmao the Afrobeat you are bragging with, actually originated from Ghana. Nigerians stole it, just like they are trying to steal amapiano from SA. Also, you are talking about uniqueness as if Nigerian music don’t sound the same. You can’t even distinguish among them. Also, why are you claiming camidoh since you think Ghanaian don’t make good music. Which of your monotonous sound artist can even touch black sherif lyrics? You are just riding on your population bro
@@Afro-Prime did u even have afrobeat artist?😂😂😂😂 we are helping camido /blacko anyway. Ur best artists all fake Jamaicans😂😂. how can we stealing something that you don't have? We don't need anything from Ghana. Maybe ur ladies nyash that is all😂😂. just continue enjoying ur shatta wale pah pah pah pah . 😂😂😂😂😂
@@Afro-Prime know this. Ghana doesn't have afrobeat artist. just name one . Once again we don't need anything from Ghana. no competition please. movies oo, comedy oo, music oo, infrastructures oo . We don't need anything from Ghana. We are not even importing anything from Ghana. Just know that .
if it dope people will join movement come second it has to be good and dope for people to jump on it rema burna and the rest are dope that why it easy to join
Ghanians always use Azonto as a benchmark for past glory. Azonto was only a dance, never a musical form. Azonto was danced to Naijabeatz, now known as Afrobeats.
Idiot
@@gideonkobby4730 Can you please send me the link to the first Azonto song?
@@MrSivram28 Go n listen to U go kill me...by EL featuring Sarkodie...Wey tin dey is hip life...it's simply Hiplife n Even Ayo shonaiya said it...The sound clave 3/2 runs in Ghanaian music..from Highlife to Borga Highlife to Hiplife n Jama n Jama Hiplife to Azonto n Afrobeats...the clave runs thru all Ghanaian music.. don't be naive..the sound clave 3/2 was never native to Nigeria music..Soo why did the Nigeria sound Engineers called the Clave 3/2 the Ghana bounce then??? @@gideonkobby4730 "U go kill me" is a typical Nigerian slang/pidgin. came out around 2011 and 2012. The beat was typical of Nigerian music at the time, called Naijabeats now know as Afrobeats. Listen to Naeto C- 5 and 6 and Jesse Jags - Wetin dey. Azonto style of music was an Off shot of Nigerian sound at the time
@@MrSivram28 Man stop capping.... Nigerians copied their beats from Ghana... Afrobeats movement itself was started by a Ghanaian called DJ Abrantee n Afrobeats has nothing to do with Nigeria..u guys Just copied that name too.... Azonto music is defined by its beats n dance n it has nothing to do with Ghana..the word Azonto is a Ghanaian word we used to say even when we were on our secondary schools .... Azonto n Afrobeats originated from Ghana n it has nothing to do with Nigeria...u guys just copied as usual....
Sarc is no fool like others
He's very careful with his words
how many times do we say this...
Step 1. Have the Talent = 15% (
Step 2: Get the Swag, flare =5%
Step 3: Get the beat (Most Nigerian Afrobeat or hip-hop have lyrics that will score zero): 20%
Step 4: Music Business : 50%
Step 5: Be Unique = 10% (the longer you keep comparing, the longer you wait to catch up).
I can tell you clearly, Nigerian Music industry did not have any plan or blueprint to blow. up They dont even have a functional association. PMAN has been dead for years. People who go into music do so for the business knowing well that is what guarantees ROI.
Ghana be unique and force sell your agenda. Seed into the cultural reinforcement and it will yield.
Congo and Cameroon make better music than Ghana. As *Fela Kuti* would say, "you still dey far away!"
Cap
