The video got recommended to me on the first page and I clicked instantly. So much memories are connected to this hotel and the city of Dubrovnik itself. It's so funny because, as you were taking a tour in and around the hotel's property, I could recognize every single person working in the hotel. I spent exactly 3 months working as an intern at Villa Dubrovnik in the summer of 2019 and seeing this video after some time of actually experiencing the whole atmosphere makes me proud and extremely grateful. It was a beautiful period in my life and I can only say that everyone needs to go at least once in their lifetime to Dubrovnik. Hoping that one day I can return to this eternal city!

We stayed at The Villa Dubrovnik from July 2-6, 1987. We really loved the hotel. It has been upgraded significantly since then. I don't remember having a balcony, but the view from the room was terrific; we even had a similar sized ship the first night. The restaurant was excellent; the maitre'd was so capable, he remains a distinct memory. I often thought of the hotel during the war. I really enjoyed this video. Our next hotel on that trip was Sveti Stefan; that was also a memorable experience. Looking forward to seeing the video.
When I was a child, I was always standing up above this building and imagined to build such a fabulous hotel there as this one.. amazing, I am so happy that someone did it and made a wish comes true. I will come to make holiday there (hope this year!)

Though I did not stay in this villa, I spent four days in Dubrovnik in the summer of 2010 after visiting Zagreb, Krk and Split. Croatia is gorgeous. Croatians are so lovely, sweet, helpful and friendly. The hotel where I stayed had some of the most outstanding staff, and the restaurant was absolutely amazing. I pray that Croatia will continue to be beautiful always, and Croatia will be safe and peaceful, far away from the migrant mess and chaos we are witnessing in Sweden, France, Germany and Italy. BRILLIANT VIDEO! ^-^
Eggs bene (or something like it) in Croatia! I like the craggy cliffs with the vegetation and the beautiful views of the Adriatic more than the Greek Isles, which are just so white and stark-looking. The hotel was very nice, too--not overdone, simple but elegant. The dinner offerings looked stunning--so pretty you don't want to eat them and ruin the presentation the kitchen staff worked so hard to create. So you at least have to take pics, or in this case, a video. I'm beginning to wonder if I'll ever travel or eat in a restaurant again :( Stay safe, Dr. LTE, your videos remind us of the world out there to be explored.
I went to Dubrovnik in the middle 1980’s, not this hotel though. Wonderful place and I loved it. A dry heat, lovely generous people and beautiful surroundings. The lamps along the seashore encouraged little fish right up to the beach. A very romantic spot :-)
This really made me feel better I've been stuck at home since February first due to illness trying to recover now Corona when lockdown ends and it is safe to do so I'm gonna take a 3 months holiday to recover from so much resting lol thank you for this today it helps a lot🙏😊🌍🧚
What a beautiful structure, color white is magnificently used all over the places of hotel, rooms corridor egg yolk color uniquely suited, and bright furniture color illuminated the rooms. It seems the noises of Adriatic sea is subdued. Nice hotel property.

⛰️🌊 Interesting hotel and place (Very cozy and enjoyable) . It was very similar to the Greek islands in terms of geography and architecture, but in my opinion a better version of that . Also this hotel was like a cruise ship (Like this 11:05), but beside the beach . Even the staff (Especially in terms of behavior) they looks like sailors, no like a five star hotel staff ! (13:10) . Cindy Dalley it wasn’t that luxurious at the time. The location was very nice though. Funny story, the last time we stayed (only one night, we went on to visit relatives) there was a terrible thunderstorm in the morning. There where two twisters on the Adria we could see clearly from the dining room. Everybody was having breakfast, reading newspapers, etc, furniture flying over the terras, lights went on and off. Loud bangs and lightning. However, nobody was going OMG, We are going to die, Panik etc. etc. No, people went for more eggs, croissants, coffee, moving their newspaper so to get some daylight on it, eating. Nobody cared about the storm. Clearly, no Americans there 😏 After breakfast we got into the rain to our rental car and drove to Korcula.
Looks light a beautiful hotel! I was meant to be spending some time in Dubrovnik this summer but that probably won’t be happening anymore. As a fellow Aman junkie, I can’t wait to see inside Aman Sverige Stefan!
I really love these videos. They are excellent and relaxing. That being said, there are six questions I'd love to see answered about each resort: 1) Do they allow any pets? 2) Can you swim in the sea or in the main pools at night, especially all night? 3) Are there non-smoking rooms and areas? 4) Please list whether or not they are open in the off-season; I like windy, wild, wintery weather and would love to stay at some of these places and take spa treatments in winter time, if Covid-19 is ever not a problem. 5) Vegetarian and vegan options on the menu? 6) How is handicapped access? (Not really expecting a reply since this is an older video but just my 2 cents worth.)
Did you have time to take a trip in the cable car while you were there? There are stunning vistas at the top and an excellent bird's eye view of the old walled town.

Villa Dubrovnik is a little pricy for what it offers, but it’s value is fulfilled with the views from the property and beach. When I stayed in 2017, my opinion was that the rooms were small, the property was far from the city and just all around not worth 1200$ (peak season). However the Rooms all have balconies and the beach is nice. Also I really enjoyed the complimentary excursion in my stay. I went on two and they were very exclusive and pleasant. Thanks for sharing!
I was in a boat from Cavtat to Dubrovnik in September 2000 and filmed this hotel from the boat and I believe that it was in a bomb damaged state from being shelled from the sea during the war. I must view my video to confirm that.
