Fantastic overview. Love GSPro. One feature that I really wish existed was a shots list view where you could see your dispersion metrics on both a top down and side profile view.
It’s one of the most obvious gaps missing from the GSPro experience when compared to Trackman software and UX. For real training, it’s an invaluable feature. Hope to see it in a future update!
Great video! I love the upgrade to ball physics. It always seemed like low shots or punch shots would check up in the fairway unrealistically. I tested this in the beta and it's so much more realistic now.
I agree it was a really nice tweak. Just in the demo shots alone in this video I felt like they reacted really well against the hill and I tested a few other spots since and it is for sure well done. Thanks for watching!
Been researching the different software options for my home build. I appreciate the in depth review without being “too in depth” very helpful and informative
Great video Jay! We're currently building a simulator room, as part of a residential remodel, and this information was so valuable to us. You helped cementsa few deicsions for us. Thanks so much!
Nice! If I can help anyway feel free to email me. I have a commercial partner that is amazing with packaging up various components etc. a98cr125@gmail.com
Nice video Jay, I literally released mine with my walkthrough a day before you released yours. Minus the new range feature as I haven’t been given to access yet.
Awesome, preview, and quite the upgrade! I didn't realize I could download the beta version from the settings menu, but I guess I know what I'll be doing all weekend.
That is exactly why I wanted to do a full overview, even helps some avid users that missed something in the setting or have not noticed. Funny part is I did not cover everything, especially on course options! So much! But glad this helped and you enjoyed it! Appreciate you watching. Full Public release will be hitting next week!
@@soupy01833 thank you! It’s never easy because you could honestly spend over an hour. I tried to pack it into a realistic timeframe covering the new stuff but a nice brief overview for new viewers. Obviously the encore play, but I’ve covered that in the past pretty well and I’ll do some more full rounds sometime soon!
I wasnt planning to renew since i now have to pay for FSX play since i upgraded to BLP, but it just looks to cool to pass up! Especially what u can do in the practice area! Im sold!
Very exciting update, thanks for the great overview! My ONLY suggestion for such an awesome practice interface would be, for the randomized distance feature (or any distance), it could give you a score for your shots based on proximity to the target. So in the example when you were setting the slider between 150 and 162, for all the shots you hit in that range you could get a score for each shot and then overall score. Idea would be to gameify practice so you could have scores to try and beat in later sessions.
@@williamfarley4665 yeah since they have SG for the distance challenge that might be something they can easily add. That’s a good suggestion. Thanks for watching!
Another great thing about the distance challenges is the leaderboards. You can compare your score to the list of other users by daily, monthly, etc. It makes a great way to practice with the added focus of “competing”.
Great demonstration, and some good updates to the range. A bit disappointing that they didn't add any new stats features. Visual representations of dispersion patterns, comparing avgs/deviations for clubs or other categorizations. There are no good ways to map out your clubs etc, other than maybe download the shot data and work it through excel. Being able to map out and bring your dispersion patterns out on the course would be very useful for improving your course management.
I think what you are mentioning here actually is in the works to some degree. They of course have to prioritize recommendations and suggestions from users based on demand. I think for bag mapping you would want a separate tool for sure with dispersion. I will see if I can get more of a for sure answer on this being in development for you. Thanks for watching!
Great video! I can't wait to try it. I do hope they tweaked the physics with the rough around the green. On short chips, I always find the rough acts like velcro that stops the ball immediately in an unrealistic way.
Thanks for the great video! Looks amazing. I still wish they had offered a 30 shot skills test as like you said, 60 is just too much at one sitting. Also agree with other about the randomizer on shots at the practice range. I also wish they would integrate what skytrak used to have with their ascending shot challenge. It would be a blend of the skills test and a randomizer on the range
Yeah, 60 is a lot. I wonder if they needed it to be the higher amount to get a better gauge based on shots during a round minus putting. Let's be honest, not many of us are shooting in the 60's haha :) It would be nice though to do a 30 shot maybe iron skills, then 15, driver test, etc. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts!
Great video - thanks for going through it all. The UK golf season virtually finished so I’ll be playing with this all the way through til March. Do you know anything about new version of course builder? I was wondering whether GSPro was going to improve graphical detail to compete with E3Apex and new Trackman course software.
What are the main differences between FSX and GSPro? Is there one you like more than the other? Is it good to have both? I’m very new to this and will be building a sim very soon. Great video!
The graphics overall are a different feel along with physics. GSPRO offers a larger library of courses including games and fantasy courses etc. since they are user created. It also includes a few unique features like operation 36 and ULD. The p2p online play is one of the best I have seen for sure how seamless and easy you can play others only and in different formats as well. The facts are that software is a personal preference thing, you can't say which is best imo, at least as a reviewer of them all it would be nearly impossible as they all have so many unique features and some have important features for certain users likings. I try to show them all the best I can and often so viewers can get a good understanding and feeling for their own needs and liking. GSPRO is one of the leaders in volume of use for sure, so it is clear that many like it. I hope that helps and makes sense! Thanks for watching!
Looks great - now we just need the World Handicap System where every course/teebox is rated correct with CR and Slope. Today it does not matter if you play from juniortees or the black ones 🙂and you always get WAY too many extra strokes
Interesting, I guess I have always just played the SGT Tour and was unaware. Share any feedback you can, they guys do listen to users! Thanks for watching!
Jay- on the Realism menu under the Game tab, can the realism be different for different players? I.e., i'm playing with my kids and I'd like to give them boosts but not for me?
Colored contour map of the green is nice. Is there one for near the green or in the fairways? It would be helpful to plan how the bounces may go. Thanks for the excellent preview. Can't wait for v3 now.
@@GolfSimulatorVideos Exactly. For example, if the entire fairway slopes to the right, I’d like to know that from the tee. If there’s a big high bank to the right of the green that feeds toward the green, it would help to know that too. If there’s a huge false front before the green,… you get it. Right now, I can’t easily know any of those factors.
@ it’s pretty easy to just zoom to your aim point to see. I honestly can’t see that being a feature. It would just be to messy I think. Try using the zoomed aim target tool.
With this update to GSPro, how would you say the software now compares to Trackmans TPS and VG3. I've always felt Trackmans software was slightly ahead but I feel now GSPro is significantly closing that gap and may almost be on par.
Honestly I think they are different in many ways. First, Trackman has Shot analysis with very coach and teaching centric tools But if comparing just the virtual golf, they both have strong software. Graphics are always going to be personal preference, it’s never even worth debating as I hear every day why one is better than the other looks wise haha :) I think Gspro user created courses gives some fun unique builds and Trackman is very detailed from what I’ve noticed. Both are popular and liked by a large groups. I feel like people have to look at what features are most useful to them, hardware they liked and feel that fits their liking. It has to be a very personal preference driven choice. I continue to try and show them all so people can have assistance making that choice more on their own, which is should be! :)
They have talked about it. I am not sure of the priority. They basically take all the feedback they get and try to do it in order based on demand from users. I can try to narrow down an idea if it’s coming and if so timeframe.

hey have you jumped into the Voice Attack software i've been working on integrating it with the new GSpro v3. it is pretty cool once you dial in everything. i've got it to where i can jump into just about everything you could want with the voice
I have not, sounds like it could be a nice features for users, especially with PC's that might be further away. I am usually playing music when playing by myself so might need to be mic'd up to use it?
@GolfSimulatorVideos I'm pumping my music at all times it works pretty great. You should really give it a whirl. People would love a good vid on it from you
I recently upgraded my launch monitor from a GC3 to a Falcon, and on the foresight software (which I essentially never use because GSPro is so much better), it automatically changes the offset based on where you place the ball on the hitting mat. Will GSPro V3 have that functionality, and if not, do you foresee that ever happening? I ask because when I want club metrics, I have to place the ball further right, but when I have other players over and switch to ball only mode, we play more from the center.
Yeah unfortunately that is a weak spot of the Falcon not having club data in the center. I don’t think the automatic offset would be something that would be in a near future development since it’s so specific and would also be pertaining to only a few launch monitors with wide hitting areas. The other thing that I’ve noticed on some software that does that as it can be quite distracting, a lot of people actually turn it off. You might wanna consider looking at how close the edge of the club data position is in making that you’re offset adjustment inside of Gspro then you could kind of balance the two. Thanks for watching!
@@GolfSimulatorVideos Thanks for the quick reply, and that certainly makes sense. Yeah, I have made the offset match the edge of the club data area closest to the center for now. Luckily, it's not hard to adjust the offset, so if I want to move it to the center when I have league play, it can be done quickly and easily. (And as a side note, love your videos.
