A friend of mine in NW Ohio used a .222 and a Rem 600. His count on ground hogs was in the high 100s low 200 every year. Never could affect target count. Everyone grew some soybeans.

Good stuff. Yes the Triple 2 likes fast burning powder. The faster the better. IMR 4198. I don't use anything else. I like to pair it with 55 gr. Nosler ballistic tip or the Midway generic. I have used SX style bullets before maybe Sierra brand but they did not perform as well from my rifle. My Triple 2 likes it close to the lands but my .223 does not with its chamber sweet spot further back. I use the same filming set up. JVC camcorder and a Pentax digital camera/video for target close ups. I have learned to use targets that show shots better and to enlarge my target footage in edited videos. Yes videography has a learning curve. Glad you found a load for that bullet that groups well. Thanks for sharing.

With ball powders, I try to stick with magnum primers. With the 222 they are CCI 450s.
