I'm sitting here crying! Oh my word!!! That was an AWESOME performance!!!! I've Just Seen Jesus will always be a classic with Sandi...but DANG, Smith comes in 2nd!!!! That was completely AMAZING!!!!! 4:54 and at the end when both reach the high notes. I say Smith did just as well!!!! AMAZING!!!
That little lady can SING!!!.....after hearing the kind of songs she sung up to this point, who knew she had those kinds of pipes!!!! I say she *MORE* than held her own for the shoes she had to fill!!!!! Way to go, Ladye!!!!!!!! All glory and honor to Jesus!!!!!!!
Oh my gosh. This version is just amazing as Sandi Pattys version. Her voice is so subtle. Absolutely beautiful. The Lord has blessed all 3 of them with amazing voices. They will one day sing beautiful songs in Heaven :)
I had no idea Ladye Love Smith could sing so high. She let the anointing of God flow through her. This is the best performance I have ever heard of this song. God was truly magnified Jesus glorified the king of kings and Lord of Lords honored.
She was an outstanding stand in for Sandi Patty! This rendition had me fighting back the tears all the way through it, just like the version with Sandi Patty does when I listen to it. The purist might cry foul, but this was still a beautiful performance!
I believe this duet was ANOINTED by GOD Himself! I loved Sandi Patty and Larnelle's version at the time, but why must Ladye Love Smith sound just like Sandi. Larnelle was so pleased and so were the musicians and other singers! I was truly Blessed by their rendition. There are not many singers who could even attempt to do this song, especially with the genius of Larnelle! I say, "Bravo"!!! :)
It's all about Him folks.... that's what it's about, they are all doing their best with their God given talent and all that they are doing is Honouring Him here again.
About this ministry in song while out on what seems to be a cruise and refreshment time you all went on a a group. I am undone at your sharing this publically so we could be blessed from the overspill. Thank You from the bottom of my heart. I felt the Holy Spirit presence and was awesomly blessed. Again I thank You so much.
The last time i saw Larnell we both didn't have that bald spot on our heads. :-) I wish him and Ladye were on the cruz i went on last year. Some of the secular music was ok but, this music would have knocked the ball out of the ballpark. Thank you Lord.
I have heard this song performed by three different duets today and all three of them are truly wonderful. If you find yourself arguing over which duet performs better then I think you have missed the point of the song. Jesus is alive.
The first time I ever heard this was by Sandi Patti... this song is so powerful and so anointed this couple do an outstanding job.... folks, it's not about Sandi Patti or these folk it's all about who is being glorifed and lets not forget - it's the Lord Jesus Christ that is being Glorified.
o dearest brothers and sisters, dearest gaither family, one day i hope to sing my praise to jesus with you, but i need your prayers that miss monica be released from africa, she is my true love being held against her will ti come home to me, could anyone send flyers from above demanding her freedom please, love your worship, tiz sweet nectar amen
It's a "performance". Just like Larnelle and Sandi. Nothing wrong with comparing the two. But newsflash here: Ladye Love Smith knows she's not Sandi Patty. And, this is in open air, not a sound studio or amphitheater where the sound reverberates. She holds her own here people. She holds her own quite well actually. But what is most impressive is that when we get to Heaven, and really SEE Jesus, I will sound just as good as Larnelle there!
@ 23stassi - I totally agree with your comments! You are right, her mike could have been turned up a slight bit. I believe she was holding back a little in her performance until the very end. She sounds powerful as well, but I get the feeling she was allowing "less to be more"! I'm glad you shared your view as well. BRAVO!
First of all, the performance is on a cruise ship not an acoustically provided auditorium or studio. And Ladye is not Sandi Patty. But, all that aside, a very pleasing rendition. And, did anyone notice that Larnelle upped his Agame to make up for the lack of acoustics? He is a true talent..
For you Ladye Love Smith haters GET OVER IT!!!!!!!!!! Not everyone is Sandi Patti. Don't get me wrong Sandi has a Great voice but You can't compare two people who sing with two different styles. Ladye can hit the notes I have heard her. She Doesn't just "hold back'. She has a beautiful voice and if you can't accept that don't watch the video! Love you Ladye!!!!
Lady's voice seems to be a little softer than patties'. I kinda like the bras-spy tenor voice with the lite soprano voice duet. Keep in mind, it's pretty cold out there.
To all the carnal Christians who are comparing Lady Love Smith to Sandi Patti... SHUT UP!!! You are missing the point of the song! It is called "I've Just Seen JESUS" not Sandi! If you mention any other name you take away from the song's focus! I can't wait till we get to Heaven and the true value of the songs will be the thankful story of praise to Jesus and not the singer!
Yes it is, but people will always find something to complain about. It's human nature. It's just frustrating that people would be so darn nit picky about something like a song and who is singing it.

Beautiful--Lady Love Smith is as good as Sandy Patty with Larnelle. Love this song!!!!!
She is very dedicated to doing what God has asked her to do with her gift. That says it all! Such comfort she brings to millions!
I had no idea that Lady Love could sing like that! Wow! Very good!

This is just nice.......Jesus will reign forever.
LARNELLE IS A LIVING LEGEND! AND LADYE LOVE SMITH IS A GOOD REPLACEMENT WHEN SANDI CAN'T BE THERE!
AWSOOOME! AWSOOOMMME! GREAT SINGING. LARNELLE STILL HAS IT. LADY LOVE YOU CARRYIN ONNNNN!!!
It's all about Him folks.... that's what it's about, they are all doing their best with their God given talent and all that they are doing is Honouring Him here again.
What an appropriate place-in the presence of God's majesty!!!
the message is very true, for Jesus is the truth. Indeed Ladye is lovely..their voices blended very well
Beautiful rendition I like both hers and Sandi Patti- both voices make a great duet with Larnelle.
THE HUG AT THE END OF THIS TRUELY BEAUTIFUL PERFORMANCE IS A REAFIRMATION OF THE POWER OF LOVE IN SEEING JESUS... GLORY TO GOD....
it was great to meet Ladye Love at the 3ABN Spring Camp meeting, her and her husband Reggie are very talented singers..I love their voices

Such a blessing to hear on Easter morning! Brings years to my eyes thinking of when I truly saw Jesus the first time!

If there's another gospel song that gives chills like this one, I can't think of it right now.
This song is such a blessing! Every time I hear it I remember back to when God spoke to my heart and I saw Jesus...and I've never been the same!
Loved it, thanks for uploading this.
Awesome. God bless. One of my favorite inspirational songs. I hope to see Jesus real soon.
beautiful,beautiful,beautiful
no matter what who sung this song..the most important the Lord is glorified....
What a powerful song and a great performance.
awesome!!!! thank you for posting!!!

I have seen JESUS! So beautiful. Lord, thank you for loving me....even me!
Amazing voice Larnelle! Glory to God!
That is wonderful.
Just amazing
Bless your words and your beautiful voices and your lovely spirits.
Awesome
All glory be to the Lord.

This is beautiful,It made me cry!

Yes.
Praise God!!
It was cold but they were terrific
Sandi AND Larnelle does the song justice...
Christ the Lord is risen! Alleluia!

Well done, excelent version...

I'm so blessed! Can I please have the lyrics ? Thanks
Sad to see people arguing about which duo sounds better, when instead of arguing they should be focusing on the message.
Very nice. Wished she would do this song with David Phelps. Think their voices would blend very well.
Trust in the Son of God Jesus CHrist...
Watch for more next Holy Sabbath Day friday sundown to saturday sundown...
Ladye holds her own though.
Let me guess
David and Lana, Larnelle and Lady, Larnelle and Sandi?
well shoot this version is good too!!
I think she did a pretty good job. I'd love to hear Allison Speer on this song.
To all the carnal Christians who are comparing Lady Love Smith to Sandi Patti... SHUT UP!!!

muy buenoooo
es la unica cantante que he escuchado que es
capaz de cantar al nivel de Sandi Patty, Sandi es unica
pero lady es formidable bendiciones
Only the rich that fund cruzes see Jesus, No one is true any more.
Yes it is, but people will always find something to complain about. It's human nature. It's just frustrating that people would be so darn nit picky about something like a song and who is singing it.
for me, ladye love smith beats sandy on this one!
Prefiero a Sandy Patty...Larnelle es mucho contrapeso para ella...pero Gloria a Dios !
nice, but Sandi's still takes the cake :-)
Ladye Love Smith was awesome in ths video, however Sandi Patty does this song much more powerful and more real, if you will.
she sings great compared with me, but not compared with Sandi Patty,
good but not the same without sandi patty ladye love smith just cant hit some of them notes like sandi
No one should be allowed to sing this song unless it's Sandi. That was painful.
