    I keep looking at these, that, and the scale hardware, spike lug nuts.....I will probably have to buy something like 4 sets to do what I want to do. Didn't know how hard that spike hardware was to come up with until I wanted it. lol.
    10 lug dually 1.7 wheels, custom "machined" front hubs(did it with a drill, a file, and the low temperature aluminum welding rod.....I'm definitely the builder that makes whatever work. Some of my parts bin crawlers do as good as custom chassis scx10ii that I've spent way too much on.

      Nice. Making it work MacGyver style or scratch building pieces is some of the most fun.

      James Swift It really is so much fun. I spend far more time tinkering on these trucks than I do driving them. It's all good and having a great hobby to pursue is extremely fulfilling. 😁

      They are worth it especially if you enjoy tinkering with the tiny trucks. Multiple times a year I switch them to a different wheel and truck to change up the looks without spending any additional money.

    For me it's all about making things work. Right now I'm building a wroncho and everyone I've seen uses The Wraith skid plate mounted to SCX10 II Rail and I'm just using the stock SCX10 and mounting the AR 60s. Believe me it's been a pain getting the links to curve around the drivelines and stuff to make everything work but with a little determination you can do anything.

    I am building a 1/8 GT-1 car on a slash. I think GT wheels are 3.25" diameter. I was hoping to make the rear wheels slightly wider than the front. I on'y find matching wheels for dragster style, but I don't want that look. The Traxxas X-01 comes with wheels like this, but they won't fit. I actually thought about cutting a wheel in 1/2, front and back and gluing a ring on side to open up 4mm. Then I realized you can't buy matching tires in different widths. Do you know of a way?

      I don't have any experience with the on road RC cars so I don't know what to say other than. If it was me I would check out all the different makes and models of 1/8th scale on road cars gas and electric. Then see which one comes from the factory with front and rear tires that are close to what I'm going for. Once I figure that out I'd know what to be searching for. eBay is probably where I would look first but you have to know what you are looking for before you go there. There's simply to much stuff to weed through if you don't have a specific idea what you are trying to find. Sorry I can't be more helpful on this my friend. Good luck on your search. 👍

    Do you think they will work on ssd beat lock wheels👍

    • @TJsRC
      @TJsRC  2 роки тому +1

      That I can’t say as I don’t have any ssd wheels. I’ve done this on a couple sets now and on one the holes in the widener didn’t quite line up but it was real close so I took a tiny drill bit just barely bigger than the holes in the widener and drilled them all out slightly bigger. It created just enough play to line up the mounting holes in the wheel. I mention this to say that they can be made to work with more than just the wheels they were designed for but it is a bit risky when you don’t know for sure ahead of time.

      @@TJsRC it's not too bad, have a few good online shops and trx4's and Axials are well catered for although not the kind of choice you guys get...but I've ordered a Gen8 axe and regular Gen8 parts are hard to get over here, axe parts are even rarer, not a popular truck over here...but I had to do it lol

      AL I hope you enjoy the Gen8 AXE. I'm pretty happy with ours.
