- This is the closing sequence of GENERAL HOSPITAL for March 31, 1993. It is memorable for the fact that this was the final time that the nearly 20-year-old opening/closing visuals from 1975 were used, as well as the final time that the theme song "Autumn Breeze" in use since 1976 was heard.....The new credits the next day were updated for GH's 30th Anniversary.
The good ole days. This was my GH. Love the Autumn Breeze music and the hospital shot.
Can’t hear this without crying
It def hits home. I was13 years old then.
I was like 7. Still a strong memory for me
My grandmother's favorite soap opera. We would watch it after I come home from school. She's no longer here.
Neither can I.
this theme always brings back memories of coming home from school.
Me too!
Lucky you!!!
💯💯
I only watched GH long before Autumn Breeze but it truly is a great theme. And I like the fact that they didn't feel the need to update the opening and closing until long after the show became hot.
The day before Faces of the Heart.
Happy 60th Anniversary To GENERAL HOSPITAL
The date of death of Bradon Lee. RIP March 31st 1993
RIP Brandon Lee.
Shoulda taken him to General Hospital...
I remember being in preschool around 1992 hearing this theme and even as a small child and not knowing much on a soaps, this theme really touched me. This was once a great show.
It sure was. Enough Drama, and action to keep viewers coming back.
Good ole days. Good ole days.
My grandmother watched me when I was young and was an avid fan of all the abc stories. I used to like when the theme song would get past the 00:30 second mark, because I liked the music from from 00:30 - 1:00. While there’s a ton of the longer closings on UA-cam, if many remember, they were rare in the time. It would only happen once or twice every two weeks.
@@JItalia217 I definitely remember hearing this long version all the way to the end one afternoon when at my grandmother’s house. She was a CBS soap fan, but right after “Guiding Light” went off she flipped to ABC to watch “Oprah” and this theme song was playing. It probably was a Friday episode.
This was the final then they changed the opening next day for the 30th anniversary
I Still Watch General Hospital on ABC
So do I
AHA! GH changed the credits in April of 1993 to celebrate the 30th anniversary!!
Thank you to our beloved Mrs. Wendy Riche!
